Despite starting late, Limmer had already arrived near the village of Sebu, ahead of the trainees. Naturally, he had already identified the minions of Eden occupying Mount Sebu and was contemplating his next move.
Should he eliminate the danger or observe the children's growth?
‘Maybe I should trust Raon once.’
In fact, if not for Raon, he would have eliminated Eden without a second thought. After all, those were truly madmen who would sacrifice their lives for their goals. However, Raon was a genius, even beyond his own understanding. He thought that this mission might help Raon and the trainees grow even more.
‘I’ll have to observe.’
As a mentor, it was right to open the path for his disciples to grow.
Limmer kept his eyes on the trainees heading towards the village, ready to move at any moment. Among those observing the trainees was Hongangui, an explorer of Eden.
‘He won’t notice me.’
Hongangui was keeping a safe distance to guard against any unexpected dangers. Even if the children sensed something, they weren’t at a level where they could detect it. However, Raon seemed to sense something, handing over command to Baren and subtly releasing aura to observe his surroundings.
‘That kid is really…’
He was more astonishing than ever. The ability to sense one's surroundings using aura is called "ki-sense," and Raon's was developed to an extraordinary degree.
‘Hexagon.’
Martial arts, aura, physical strength, mental strength, and ki-sense—Raon was a gem, possessing all the talents a swordsman should have.
Limmer calmed his excitement and kept an eye on Eden's movements. Contrary to expectations, Eden did not attack the trainees but threw monsters at them, allowing them to gain some experience.
‘They’re hiding something.’
It seemed they were after something here, not just trying to harm the children. They feared the support of Sieghart.
After sending the children back, he planned to thoroughly search the area.
Raon, knowing he was being observed, did not move. He acted like an ordinary trainee, killing monsters and receiving cheers from the villagers before leaving the village.
‘Hmm…’
Is he retreating?
That’s not bad either. It’s wise to retreat when you recognize the difference in strength.
However, Raon’s subsequent actions were completely different from Limmer’s expectations. As soon as Hongangui left, Raon revealed the truth to everyone and immediately requested support from the branch. He returned to Sebu village, observed the attacking monsters, and even predicted Eden’s involvement.
Limmer was amazed. Just by observing the scout and the monsters, Raon had deduced Eden’s presence. His intellect surpassed the ordinary.
Raon waited, while Baren and Lunan drew their swords to save the village.
‘That’s what the kids should do.’
The trainees, rushing to save the people, showed the heroism and the spirit of Sieghart’s swordsmen. They fought the approaching green goblins without backing down, protecting the village.
However, what caught Limmer’s attention was not them, but Raon. After realizing the enemy was hiding, he concealed his presence and did not reveal himself until the end.
A 15-year-old shouldn’t have that level of patience. He saw the image of a king, sitting on a throne and overseeing all.
‘The qualities of a king.’
As he had felt before, Raon possessed the qualities to become the king of Sieghart.
The intense battle between the green goblins and the children continued, and Marta, following Raon’s instructions, launched a surprise attack, securing victory. However, the situation changed dramatically when the green chieftain, hiding deep in the mountains, appeared.
The trainees, unable to withstand the green chieftain’s attack, fell to the ground, spitting blood.
It was expected.
The green chieftain was a powerful expert.
Limmer, ready to move at any moment, drew his sword and waited beside the children.
‘Is he still not moving?’
Even when Baren, Lunan, and Marta were in mortal danger, Raon did not appear.
‘I have no choice.’
Deciding to step in and block the green chieftain, Limmer saw Raon move. His movement was like a shadow, striking the green chieftain’s neck with a sword that no one could see coming.
‘Huh…’
A hollow laugh escaped him. Though he couldn’t decapitate the green chieftain, the single cut that severed an arm was the work of a master swordsman.
Despite losing an arm, the green chieftain continued to fight fiercely, but he fell to Raon’s sword, which had reached a new level.
‘Hahaha!’
Limmer couldn’t hold back his laughter. Raon Sieghart was a monster, a child with the qualities to become the continent’s greatest swordsman and a conqueror. He must be protected and nurtured at all costs.
‘Truly, he’s endless.’
Smiling, he stood up. It was time for him to do his part.
Limmer eliminated all the Honganguis leaving Sebu Mountain after the green chieftain’s death, to prevent the information from spreading. He thoroughly checked the village and the mountain to ensure there were no more dangers before returning.
Raon, who had fainted, woke up and seemed to have grown even more, likely due to the insights gained in battle. He might even be able to use sword qi now.
‘Even I might not have noticed him.’
Raon’s ki-sense was so sharp that he might have detected even a poorly hidden Limmer, so he moved a bit further away.
‘Should I return now?’
With the day breaking, the reinforcements Crane had called for would arrive, and there were no more dangers, so it seemed safe to return. More than anything, he wanted to report Raon’s performance to Glen immediately.
‘Well then…’
After confirming the children’s safety, Limmer returned to the family. As he headed towards Sieghart with a light step, a powerful aura exploded from Sebu village.
‘This aura…’
It was a familiar aura, a powerful wave of energy from a master.
‘Damn!’
Limmer pushed his speed to the limit, running towards the village. Despite his incredible speed, it felt like he was moving as slowly as a snail.
His heart ached with each explosion from the village.
While running, he saw Lunan, Baren, and Marta being attacked by two ogres. Drawing his sword, he slashed through the two ogres simultaneously with a wind-infused blade.
Swish!
Before the ogres’ heads hit the ground, he asked Raon’s location with his eyes.
Lunan pointed to the village with his eyes.
The usually emotionless child’s eyes were filled with so much.
Gritting his teeth, Limmer ran into the village. Despite the green goblins and monsters attacking him, he cut through them all, heading towards the center.
He was shocked.
Raon, with his small and young body, was enduring the attacks of Eden’s monster, the Blood Beast, to the end. His left arm was broken, his waist was torn, and he was dragging his leg, but he did not drop his sword.
It was both moving and awe-inspiring.
Limmer realized it clearly.
At this moment.
He decided to follow and protect this young child, no, this young king, for life.
Whoosh!
His new resolve was reflected in his sword, blocking the Blood Beast’s fist.
“You’re late.”
Raon smiled, as if he had known he would come.
“Sorry, I overslept.”
Limmer replied as usual.
“Now, leave it to me.”
With that, he pushed back the Blood Beast’s fist.
Boom!
The rock-like fist being pushed back by a thin blade was a spectacular sight.
“Sieghart’s Light Sword!”
“It’s been a while, Baldy.”
Limmer didn’t lose his smile even in front of the Blood Beast’s fierce energy, waving his hand as if greeting an old friend.
“What are you doing here!”
“I can’t just stand by and watch your kind trample on these young sprouts.”
“Sending a weakling like you on a mission, Sieghart has really declined!”
The Blood Beast extended his fists, filled with red energy, to the left and right.
Boom!
A red wave surged, and a terrifying storm of energy rushed over.
“Huh!”
Limmer struck the green aura-infused sword diagonally. The energy flowed like water through a drainage channel to the right.
“Just barely deflecting that level of energy, the rumors about you becoming a cripple must be true.”
“Rumors, change your sources. Your Skull Gang is still slow on the news.”
“Anyone can see your balance is off.”
The Blood Beast grinned, and the air seemed to vibrate.
“What can I do? Instead of a rescue team, a dog that will be eaten with us has come.”
The Blood Beast sneered at Raon, who could barely stand behind him.
“Whether it’s a dog or the guardian of hell, Cerberus, we’ll see until the end!”
Limmer thrust his sword upwards from the right. A fierce wind arose, slicing the Blood Beast’s shoulder.
Squish!
Blood gushed from the Blood Beast’s shoulder but healed instantly, as if time had reversed.
“Your sword used to be filled with a deadly aura. But not now.”
The Blood Beast, pushing off the ground, broke through the wall of wind Limmer had created.
“You’ve grown weak. Your sword can’t kill me!”
With that, he punched down.
Sssss!
Limmer, unable to block the punch head-on, swung his sword. The green aura, like a windmill, formed a thick shield but couldn’t withstand the Blood Beast’s energy.
Crack!
The green aura shattered, and the Blood Beast’s fist fell. But Limmer was no longer there. Using the aura shield as a decoy, he moved to the Blood Beast’s left and struck with his sword.
Thud!
Limmer’s sharp sword thrust aimed for the Blood Beast’s heart from below.
“Just that won’t do!”
The Blood Beast roared, curling his body, and Limmer’s sword, which had pierced his ribs, stopped.
“While you were weakening, I grew stronger. The power difference is now completely reversed!”
“Tch!”
Limmer, clicking his tongue, pulled his sword back. If he left it, it might break, so it was a wise move.
“Hahaha!”
The Blood Beast roared, swinging his fist. The more powerful punch made the earth scream.
“Brute.”
Limmer, unable to counter the punch, dodged using his footwork.
‘That’s…’
Raon focused on Limmer’s footwork, not the Blood Beast’s violent punches.
‘Like a leaf riding the wind.’
Limmer moved as lightly as a flower petal riding the wind, evading the Blood Beast’s punches. It was as if he had perfected the movements he used when fighting the Blood Beast.
The timing of his occasional surprise attacks with his sword was perfect.
If the energy in Limmer’s sword had been a powerful energy, the battle would have ended long ago.
‘But…’
Despite his attacks not landing, Limmer’s expression remained calm. He fought at close range with the Blood Beast, as if teaching him a lesson.
‘Wait, could it be!’
Raon’s eyes widened. Seeing Limmer’s eyes move, he understood his intention.
‘He’s showing me.’
Even now, he was giving him a combat lesson. It was unbelievable.
“If you can’t even catch a weakened me, what will you do? You’ll lose your helmet, won’t you?”
“Shut up!”
The Blood Beast, his eyes filled with rage, punched. The massive energy in his fist made Limmer step back, not daring to face it head-on.
Boom!
A single punch destroyed a village building and tore the ground. It was a power like that of a giant from ancient legends.
“Fight properly! Sieghart’s Light Sword!”
The Blood Beast, driven by rage, chased Limmer with instinctive movements.
Boom!
The movements were simple, but the strength and speed were fast, gradually closing the distance between them.
“Tsk, I have no choice.”
Limmer stopped, glancing back at Raon. He smiled, meeting Raon’s gaze.
“The teaching material has gone berserk, so I’ll have to end the lesson here.”
“What a madman!”
“Watch carefully, Raon.”
Before Raon could respond, Limmer continued.
“This is how Sieghart fights, and the level you must achieve.”
Limmer’s sword pointed to the sky, and his left hand pointed to the ground.
“Manifestation of the Sword Realm.”
His voice echoed as if from the sky and rose from deep within the earth.
“Eye of the Storm.”
The world changed with the declaration, like a mantra.
