By around five in the afternoon, Su Xiaofan followed the navigation on his phone and found the restaurant Qi Rouyun had booked, which was on a street outside the west gate of Yanjing.

This entire street was basically lined with restaurants. The business from the surrounding few prestigious schools alone was enough to make them very profitable.

Qi Rouyun had booked a Sichuan cuisine restaurant. Even though it wasn't yet dinner time, quite a few people had already gone in, indicating that the business was quite good.

Looking at his phone, Su Xiaofan saw that it was still about ten minutes before the agreed-upon six o'clock. He took out a cigarette, moved to the side of the restaurant, and squatted down to smoke.

Su Xiaofan had been smoking for quite a while, starting in junior high when he had to roll cigarettes for his grandfather. He would occasionally smoke one, and later on, he just started smoking regularly.

Although Su Xiaofan's nicotine addiction wasn't very strong, he had never quit over the years. In high school, he had been scolded by teachers countless times for smoking.

"Su Xiaofan, what are you looking at? I'm here..."

As the voice spoke, two long legs appeared in front of Su Xiaofan. Looking up along the legs, he saw a pair of tight-fitting denim shorts. Su Xiaofan didn't raise his head any further; if he did, he would have to look up at her.

"Qi Ge'er, can't you be a bit more ladylike?"

Su Xiaofan slowly stood up and looked at the girl in front of him, who had short hair that reached her ears. Although she wasn't particularly beautiful, she gave off a very spirited and lively vibe.

"Calling me by my nickname again, what are you doing here, squatting?"

Qi Rouyun looked at Su Xiaofan with a displeased expression. This nickname was given to her by Su Xiaofan during their high school military training.

At that time, Qi Rouyun had short hair and looked like a boy. After Su Xiaofan gave her this nickname, she couldn't shake it off for the entire three years of high school.

"Your question is so fresh. Squatting here, of course, I'm looking at beautiful legs."

Su Xiaofan said with a smile. He had a generally good relationship with the boys in his class, but he got along particularly well with the girls, especially the class president in front of him.

"Su Xiaofan, you've turned bad. When did your mouth get so slick?" Qi Rouyun was annoyed.

"I've always been bad; you just didn't know."

Su Xiaofan laughed. It had been several years since he had bantered with the class president, and it was still fun.

"Alright, where's your boyfriend?"

Su Xiaofan looked around and noticed a girl standing not far from Qi Rouyun, smiling at them.

"This girl is pretty good."

Su Xiaofan had seen many refined bosses in the antique market, accompanied by beautiful girls to buy antiques. His immunity was far beyond what it was in his student days, but seeing the girl next to Qi Rouyun, he still praised her in his heart.

The girl was a bit taller than Qi Rouyun, about 1.72 meters tall. She wore a pair of leggings and a loose white T-shirt, which concealed her good figure.

Looking up, the girl appeared to be in her early twenties. Her plain face left Su Xiaofan impressed.

The girl was not wearing makeup, with fair skin and a particularly delicate face.

However, what caught Su Xiaofan's attention was the girl's aura.

At first glance, the smiling girl exuded an intellectual beauty and feminine charm. When she noticed Su Xiaofan's gaze, she reined in her smile, displaying a capable and efficient aura. The two contrasting auras were perfectly combined.

"Hello, Su Xiaofan!"

Su Xiaofan smiled at the girl and extended his right hand.

"Hey, Su Xiaofan, you've really turned bad. How can you be so smooth with girls?"

Qi Rouyun pushed away Su Xiaofan's hand and said, "This is my senior, don't have any ideas."

"I'm not having any ideas. But Qi Ge'er, you have a boyfriend, right? You're not still thinking about me, are you?"

Su Xiaofan laughed, not paying attention to Qi Rouyun's actions.

"Hello, I'm Mo Zixuan, a classmate of Yunyun's."

The girl was very open, though she didn't extend her hand, she introduced herself.

"From Luochuan?"

Su Xiaofan detected a hint of Luochuan accent. He had developed this skill from his experience in the antique market, where people from all over the country gathered, making it a dialect school.

From his experience, using the same dialect as tourists often increased the chances of a successful transaction.

This also forced Su Xiaofan to learn many local dialects, and he could usually tell where tourists were from based on their accents.

"Zixuan is from Luochuan, she was my mother's student in elementary school and the top student in the previous two years' college entrance exams."

Qi Rouyun, who couldn't keep secrets, quickly revealed Mo Zixuan's background.

Mo Zixuan was the same age as Qi Rouyun but started school a year earlier. She skipped a grade in junior high, making her two years ahead of Su Xiaofan and his classmates. She also got into Yanjing University.

Even in college, Mo Zixuan stood out. In five years, she completed both her bachelor's and master's degrees and was admitted to a doctoral program under a professor at Yanjing University, becoming an assistant professor.

Mo Zixuan had been a student of Qi Rouyun's mother in junior high and had known Qi Rouyun since then, maintaining contact over the years.

Qi Rouyun's decision to apply to Yanjing University was also influenced by her outstanding childhood friend, Mo Zixuan.

"Alright, let's go in. I've booked a private room, and they should be arriving soon."

After talking at the entrance for a while, the people entering and exiting the restaurant kept staring at them, making Qi Rouyun feel a bit uncomfortable.

"Where's your boyfriend?"

After sitting down in the private room, Su Xiaofan looked at Qi Rouyun. He wasn't really concerned but was curious because Qi Rouyun's personality was similar to her sister's, and Su Xiaofan used to often say she would never get married.

"He's from Fujian and went back home. I stayed to intern with Zixuan."

Qi Rouyun glared at Su Xiaofan and said, "Don't think I'm unmarriageable. My boyfriend is the vice president of the student council and will stay at the university after graduation."

"I thought he was the president."

Su Xiaofan chuckled, but he knew that being the vice president of the student council at Yanjing University was a significant achievement, requiring high emotional and intellectual intelligence.

"The president is sitting right here, but she's about to step down." Qi Rouyun pointed to Mo Zixuan beside her.

"Wow, I didn't realize Mo Zixuan was so impressive!"

Su Xiaofan was taken aback. Yanjing University was full of talented people, and for a girl to be the student council president was truly remarkable.

"You're Yunyun's old classmate, she often mentions you. Just call me Zixuan."

Mo Zixuan sat quietly, not interrupting Su Xiaofan and Qi Rouyun's conversation, but when mentioned, she spoke in a way that made people feel very comfortable.

"Too bad I didn't know you back then. I would have definitely applied to Yanjing."

Su Xiaofan laughed, making a joke.

"Hey, Su Xiaofan, I didn't expect you to turn into a playboy after a few years. Your smooth talk is impressive."

Qi Rouyun looked at Su Xiaofan with displeasure.

"Alright, Qi Ge'er, you should thank me for not being a playboy back then."

After not bantering with Qi Rouyun for several years, Su Xiaofan's verbal skills were even sharper, and a few words made Qi Rouyun glare at him.

"Hey, old classmates are here. Liu Fei, Zhang Ji, I heard you both got into Yanjing Normal University."

Just as Qi Rouyun was about to get angry, two people pushed open the door of the private room, and Su Xiaofan quickly stood up to greet them. In fact, he wasn't very close to these two back then.

"They not only got into Yanjing Normal University but are now a couple."

Qi Rouyun added.

"Class President, your boyfriend didn't come this time."

Liu Fei and Zhang Ji greeted Qi Rouyun first, then looked at Su Xiaofan and said, "It's a pity you didn't take the college entrance exam back then. Otherwise, we would have had one more classmate in Yanjing."

"I regret it too. Now I'm working hard in the sun and wind, which can't compare to you guys."

Su Xiaofan chuckled, not taking the slight superiority in their words to heart. His years in society had not been wasted, and his emotional intelligence was much higher than these classmates.

Moreover, Su Xiaofan knew that he hadn't had much interaction with these classmates in high school. They were here today because of the class president, not for him.

"That's not necessarily true. Entering society early has its advantages. Unlike us, who are now busy looking for jobs."

Zhang Ji said casually, "I'm interning at Today's Headlines and might get a job there. Xiao Fei is also doing well, having taught a few trial classes at Yanjing High School, and the feedback was great."

"Great, you'll be an IT elite and a teacher, both excellent careers."

Su Xiaofan gave them a thumbs up. As a businessman, a few compliments didn't cost anything. He had been too naive in school and hardly made any friends.

"Right, what are you doing now, Su Xiaofan?"

After being complimented by Su Xiaofan, Liu Fei and Zhang Ji felt comfortable and finally thought to ask about his career.

"I don't have much education, just getting by."

As Su Xiaofan was speaking, the door opened again, and two men and two women entered.

"Zixuan, Su Xiaofan, these are Wu Xiaobo, Sun Jiajia, and Zhao Yu. Zhou Siwei is Sun Jiajia's boyfriend, a top student from Renmin University."

Seeing them enter, Qi Rouyun stood up to introduce them to Su Xiaofan and Mo Zixuan. Two of the women and one of the men were Su Xiaofan's classmates, so he knew them. The other man was the boyfriend of one of the female classmates.

Being young, the group quickly became lively after a few words.

However, most of the conversation revolved around Mo Zixuan and Qi Rouyun, occasionally including Su Xiaofan.

Su Xiaofan didn't mind. He knew that college was a small society, and many people's thoughts were no longer as simple after entering college.

Now they could sit together, eating and talking about fun times from high school, but after they graduated and started working, the gap would widen.

At that time, it would be uncertain whether Su Xiaofan could still sit here. Cars, houses, and money would become the main topics of their conversations.
