Cheng Tianbi whispered.

"Slowly put the backpack on the ground."

Cong Xia gulped down his saliva. He also realized that the monkey had been staring at him since the beginning. This monkey was probably a pet raised by this family. The human had left and locked it inside the house, now the food was all spoiled, it must be quite hungry.

Cong Xia was observing the monkey's every move while gently placing the backpack on the ground and even unzipped the zipper of the backpack to show his sincerity. As soon as the question came out of his mouth, he knew right away how nonsensical it was. The monkey was staring at him. It didn't even look at the big backpack full of food on the ground.

"The food may have already deteriorated. The monkey's sense of smell is better than human's a thousand times. He can smell that only we are fresh."

Cheng Tianbi was right. Just a while ago, when he opened the backpack, he saw several vacuum packed bags of sausages were swollen up. The monkey chose him, who appeared to be relatively weak instead of the tall and big man who was holding a weapon like Cheng Tianbi. He was really clever!

Cong Xia said with a trembling voice.

"What should we do now?"

"Later on, when I tell you to run, run into the kitchen, don't care about anything, block the door when you get in there."

Cheng Tianbi suddenly shouted 'Run!', then he violently fired four shots at the sofa where the monkey was hiding.

Cong Xia turned around and ran towards the kitchen. The monkey yelled angrily and rushed towards the other end of the sofa. Cheng Tianbi wanted to take this opportunity to rush to the bedroom, but he didn't expect the monkey would suddenly jump up on the sofa, madly leap towards to pounce on him.

There was a pungent smell of fresh blood in the air. The monkey's long fur was covered with bright red blood. The pain caused it to be greatly stimulated. It abandoned the weaker target, who was Cong Xia and attacked Cheng Tianbi, who injured him instead.

There were only 7 bullets in the Type 54 pistol that Cheng Tianbi was holding in his hand. He had already shot 5 rounds. Now there were only 2 rounds left. He didn't even think and fired two shots at the monkey's chest when the monkey was plunging directly towards his face.

The monkey's bloody mouth was wide opened and it was about to bite the neck of Cheng Tianbi.

Cheng Tianbi stuffed the pistol into the monkey's mouth. The size of the handgun made it exactly caught in between the upper and lower jaws of the monkey. The monkey screamed loudly. It flung its claw at Cheng Tianbi's face. Cheng Tianbi blocked by using his arm and was inflicted with three bloody claw marks.

When Cong Xia heard the sound of the melee fight outside, he was too scared that his whole body trembled. He was trembling when pulling out the gun. He couldn't just watch Cheng Tianbi being killed by the monkey and did nothing. Moreover, if Cheng Tianbi died, then he would not live for very long.

He slammed the door open and shouted, trying to attract the attention of the monkey.

The monkey did not respond at all. The gun was stuck in between its jaws, but it could not spit it out, which made it so angry that it screamed out loud.

Cheng Tianbi was scratched several bloody marks by the monkey, he shouted.

"Fire!"

Cong Xia shakily pulled the trigger. When Cheng Tianbi looked at him, he knew that he could not depend on him. It was the first time that he had ever used a gun, and in such a dangerous situation like this, Cong Xia had already forgotten everything that he taught him before, he hadn't even switched off the safety.

Cheng Tianbi's arm was bleeding nonstop. The pain continuously stimulated his brain nerves. His scalp felt numb. When the monkey's claws were once again coming this way, he heard the swishing sound of the wind made by the claws.

"No, give me the gun."

Cheng Tianbi caught the gun with one hand, switched off the safety and fired three shots at the monkey's brain. His action was clean and quick. Cheng Tianbi, who was holding a gun, sat on the floor, silently looked at his hand.

Cong Xia was thinking for a while.

What happened was similar to telekinesis, which usually appeared in those magic and super power performances. However, Cong Xia knew that Cheng Tianbi was not performing any magic. Moreover, the candle, which was more than one meter away from him, would not just fell to the ground just because of his random flick.

The wind just a while ago came from Cheng Tianbi's hand.

Cong Xia's breath became trembling a little bit.

"This is also... evolution?"

Both animals and plants and even microbes had evolved, so it was not uncommon for humans to mutate. Like the woman with great strength, like Cheng Tianbi, these amazing abilities, apart from evolution, Cong Xia could not think of other possibilities.
