The activities of the Service Club are mostly about reading books.
Every time Su Yu comes to the club room, Yuki Snow is always reading a book.
To avoid disturbing Yuki Snow, he also bought quite a few light novels, which he reads during his lunch break.
The light novels in this world are not the same as the popular works he remembers from his own world.
Of course, there are many interesting light novels.
Light novels about romance and those set in other worlds are his two favorite genres.
Usually, these two genres have attractive female characters.
Even if he buys a poor-quality light novel, he can still enjoy the appearance of the female characters, making it a worthwhile purchase.
For someone who inherited an apartment and a billion yen, living a life as a shut-in seems entirely possible.
In his original world, he worked hard for a long time and eventually became a shut-in.
He maintained a simple life with the income from novels and videos, without a girlfriend or friends, only accompanied by anime and novels.
Although he was mostly happy most of the time, he occasionally felt lonely.
On quiet nights, he often made something delicious, opened a can of cola, and ate alone while watching an anime.
His record was staying indoors for a whole week, which led to the landlady coming to check on him.
She was probably worried that something had happened to him.
Thinking about his original world, Su Yu smiled.
"Light novels are very interesting, right?" Yuki Snow's voice sounded.
"They are very interesting. I like every story, and I used to be a creator myself." Su Yu came back to his senses and looked at Yuki Snow.
"Can I see your works?" Yuki Snow's eyes were filled with curiosity.
"Um..." Su Yu suddenly realized that his works were all in the other world.
Moreover, they were all two-dimensional, and only people like him would read them.
"Is it a type that you don't feel comfortable showing?" Yuki Snow guessed.
"Yeah." Su Yu nodded.
"Su Yu, you don't seem to be short of money, but don't get into trouble because of novels." Yuki Snow reminded him.
"Yuki, thank you for your concern. My writing isn't that good." Su Yu looked at the light novel in his hand.
To be honest, the books he wrote in his original world were not as bold as the light novels in this world; they were quite timid.
"Is your goal to become a light novel writer?" Yuki Snow flipped through the book and asked.
"My goal is to live freely." Su Yu thought for a moment and answered.
"Live freely?" Yuki Snow looked up at Su Yu.
"Seems like that's your goal too?" Su Yu recalled Yuki Snow's identity.
"If I could live freely, it would indeed be a good thing." Yuki Snow did not directly answer Su Yu's question and continued to look down at the book.
"Do even the rich have their troubles?" Su Yu withdrew his gaze.
The Service Club fell silent again.
...
Lunch break ended.
Su Yu returned to his class.
Class 2-F, the class where Hachiman Hikigaya is.
His seat is the last one by the window.
From this seat, he can see the cherry blossoms outside the window.
Occasionally, when the window is opened, cherry blossoms fly into the classroom.
Su Yu looked out the window and then turned to look at Miharu Yumeko, who was also sitting in the last row.
From the side, Miharu Yumeko is very beautiful.
Although she is not as stunning as Yuki Snow, she is indeed the prettiest girl in the class.
If there were a comprehensive rating, Miharu Yumeko would be an 8, and Yuki Snow would be a 9.
Perhaps sensing Su Yu's gaze, Miharu Yumeko turned to look at him.
Their eyes met.
Su Yu withdrew his gaze.
Miharu Yumeko was initially puzzled.
Then, a smile appeared on her face. Could this transfer student be attracted to her?
Although he is not as dazzling as Yuzuki Hayato, he is indeed handsome upon closer inspection.
"Pity, I already have Yuzuki, but I can introduce him to Yui or Himeca." Miharu Yumeko thought.
With this in mind, she looked at them.
Himeca seemed to resist such a thing, while Yui had no experience with love.
Miharu Yumeko thought for a moment and sent a message to Yui.
Yui was checking the time and received Miharu Yumeko's message just in time.
"Yui, I just observed carefully, and the transfer student is very handsome. Unfortunately, I already have Yuzuki, but if you like him, I can help you get his contact information and set you up."
Yui's face turned red as she couldn't help but look in Su Yu's direction.
Su Yu was looking out the window, and his focused appearance was indeed handsome.
Miharu Yumeko saw the blush on Yui's face and smiled, continuing to send messages.
Yui came back to her senses and received Miharu Yumeko's second message.
She opened it, and her face turned even redder.
"Yui, you look so cute when you're blushing. I'll get his contact information for you and arrange for you to meet him after school at a karaoke place to give you a chance to be alone together."
Yui wanted to refuse but heard the teacher enter the room.
She quickly put away her phone.
Miharu Yumeko, not receiving a reply, thought Yui was too shy and had tacitly agreed to the plan.
With this in mind, she looked forward to their interaction even more.
...
The class passed in a flash.
Su Yu felt the benefits of enhanced memory.
He remembered most of what the teacher said.
He even remembered the content of the light novel he read during lunch break.
"If I can remember everything, will my brain run out of storage..."
Su Yu thought about this and decided to read more useful books in the future.
"Su Yu."
A girl's figure stood in front of him.
"Yumeko, is there something you need?" Su Yu was taken aback and looked at Miharu Yumeko.
"Can I have your contact information, Su Yu?"
Miharu Yumeko asked with a smile.
"Sure." Su Yu hesitated for a moment and took out his phone.
Miharu Yumeko quickly exchanged contact information with him. After they finished, she noticed that Su Yu's contact list only had her.
"Did you just get a new phone, Su Yu?" Miharu Yumeko asked, puzzled.
"Why do you ask?" Su Yu looked at her.
"Your contact list only has me, not even your parents' numbers." Miharu Yumeko reminded him.
"My parents recently passed away in a plane accident, leaving me alone." Su Yu paused for a moment before answering.
"I'm... I'm sorry." Miharu Yumeko opened her mouth, apologetically.
"It's okay." Su Yu said softly.
"Su Yu, do you have time after school?"
"Yes." Su Yu answered and looked at Miharu Yumeko, waiting for her to continue.
"Would you like to go to karaoke together?" Miharu Yumeko asked tentatively.
"Sure." Su Yu nodded.
