Chapter 7

The preparations for the movie were soon in gear. When I was finished with my made-up signing event, B said that he had already found someone to handle that matter. His tone sounded like he was taking the credit for the matter and trying to win favor.

I, very earnestly and sincerely, thanked him.

As I dragged my luggage home, my husband was outside the door smoking and waiting for me. Seeing me, he took my stuff and brought it upstairs. I narrowed my eyes as I watched his back. Everything he did made it seem like he was the perfect husband. Who could have thought that just a few days ago he was rolling around the sheets at my bed with his childhood sweetheart, comforting him saying that once I was dead, they would be together forever?

I laughed.

It doesn’t matter. You’ll be together forever when you hang yourselves in the southeast branch [1] .

I’ve already checked the drug and purchased it. Naturally, Drug C was a kind of medicine that had something to do with heart attacks. Its color was similar to the medicine my husband had recently been taking because of too much stress. He probably wouldn’t notice it if I mixed it in.

Although C was used to treat a heart attack in pharmacology, its research was still not perfect. From what little I know of chemistry; its ingredients can react with the vitamins on some fruits.

I think this is my first time attempting to poison someone. In order to study whether this was fatal or not, I bought ten white mice to experiment on for a week on my vacation. Meanwhile, I fed the mice an overdose of drug C and the fruit of the season. Three days in and seven mice had suddenly died of hyperactivity.

Ah, I think this was the perfect element to spice things up while also being a good weapon to make my husband abnormally die while on the bed with the childhood sweetheart.

I soon used the excuse on me being a little sick to go to a different room to sleep. Afterall, I don’t want to sleep in a bed covered in their bodily fluids.

After that, when news of the movie came out, as I expected, my husband and the childhood friend had a fight.
