Chapter 81

With a crackling sound, lightning danced through the narrow dungeon as if licking it clean.
"~~~♪"
While drawing different spells with both hands, she wove magic with the sound of her whistling. The sheer injustice of what was happening before the monsters' eyes. As the monsters were burned to ashes without any resistance, I pressed my hands together in prayer, overwhelmed by the scene.
Rin had described the technique she showed the wolf earlier as "like playing the piano." For Rin, who was incredibly skilled at playing instruments, it was a sign of her ease, indicating that it was a simple task. Although I couldn't understand what she was talking about, seeing the attack before my eyes now, it might indeed be a simple technique.
Rin was currently controlling three spells simultaneously to exterminate the monsters.
The unbroken chain of spells, cast to fill the gaps between incantations, shimmered like art, a storm of death.
"…phew"
"Wow, Rin! That's amazing!"
"Hehe, do you think so? I don't feel bad when Nana praises me."
With a relaxed smile, Rin said this while effortlessly erasing a monster that had attacked from the front without even glancing at it. It was different from the simple magic she showed on the first day. This was what a serious battle looked like for Rin, the mage.
"This is the first time I've used three spells at once. I wanted to show Nana first."
"Really? That's so nice."
I expressed my genuine feelings to the blushing Rin. As we laughed together, I secretly thought to myself, "Ah, it's so nostalgic." Seeing Rin enjoy the game as if to show me, brought tears to my eyes with nostalgia.
Ever since we were young, Rin had always played various games, making incredible efforts to ensure that even I, who just watched, could enjoy them. Whether it was an amazing technique that was usually impossible, or a super play that could be called divine, or even funny plays and strange bug techniques, we would find them and laugh together.
It was nostalgic. A very happy, nostalgic memory.
"I got a bit carried away and used too much MP."
After exterminating the surrounding monsters and lowering her hands, Rin sighed and said this. She had been using three times the usual amount of magic, which probably consumed her MP faster.
"Then it's my turn next, right?"
"Hehe, show me your cool moves, okay?"
"…Okay!"
We both felt the current atmosphere was nostalgic. It was a provocation to get me to show my true strength, something Rin always did when giving permission to go all out, just like in the past.
"Watch me?"
"Of course."
We exchanged words as if we were back in the old days. It made my heart warm, and I couldn't shake off the happy feeling. With a light, fluffy feeling, I stepped forward in front of Rin. It felt incredibly good. My body was so hot I couldn't stand it.

"Hey!"
With a squish, Nana's "Shadow Sewing" crushed the "Hydro Snake." After descending several flights of stairs from the second floor, the scenery remained the same, still a dungeon. Whether the first floor was special or if it was a rare floor that only appeared occasionally, I wasn't sure. If it was the latter, I might have missed out on something.
While thinking about this, I followed behind Nana.
"Wow, this killing sensation is amazing."
"Is this the slaying girl?"
"↑ Yes."
"Still fighting as impressively as ever."
"What does it mean that neither disguise nor surprise attacks work?"
"That weapon is awesome."
"It's a metal rod, though."
"Your fighting style has become more brutal as your stats have increased."
"Rinne is just chilling, lol."
"Excuse me, I do remember the way."
Reacting to the comments, she didn't hide the fact that she was idle. Until now, I had been in the lead, but now Nana was clearing the path for us.
There were two main reasons why I had moved to the back. First, my multi-spell technique, which Nana had praised as "amazing," was powerful but had a very clear drawback: it consumed a lot of MP. Even with my MP-focused stats, I couldn't use it for long periods. Therefore, I needed to take regular breaks.
The second reason was that Nana was in a very "good mood."
Swinging the metal rod named "Shadow Sewing," she effortlessly slaughtered the enemies, with a soft, twisted smile. Nana was in a good mood, probably the best in the past two weeks of streaming. She was completely embodying the "slaying girl" as she sang a tune while massacring the monsters.
"Nope."
With a relaxed voice, she grabbed the arrow shot by a Goblin Archer hiding in a side passage and threw it back. A small thud echoed, and the Goblin Archer, with a severely reduced HP, fell to the ground, likely to die from slip damage.
"All done."
The Goblin Archer disappeared instantly from the impact.
If I had to describe Nana's current emotional state in words, it would be "happy." A different kind of happiness from when she was fighting strong enemies or scattering monsters. What triggered this, and why she was so cheerful, I could guess, but it was rare to see her express her emotions so openly.
However, this mood had its issues. In this state, Nana's control over her strength was quite loose. This meant that she no longer restrained her usually suppressed physical abilities. Once the emotional restraint was broken, the "power" she possessed would seek an outlet and run wild.
In this state, Nana wouldn't stop until she was satisfied. With a powerful weapon in hand, the monsters couldn't even slow her down. I suspected that this would continue until we reached the boss. Recently, watching the stream, I could sense her frustration from not being able to fight strong enemies. Having fought Aria, Rau, and Kohaku early on, Nana must have been quite frustrated, even if she didn't show it.
In a way, this was a release of pent-up frustration. Given that there were no strong enemies to fight and the current event might not satisfy her, I didn't want to miss this opportunity for Nana to release her built-up tension.
While thinking about this, I followed Nana, and a loud gong-like sound echoed. It was the sound of Nana hitting the ground with her metal rod at a fork in the dungeon.
"Scared me."
"What's going on?"
"Suddenly the sound broke."
"Did you hit the ground?"
The loud noise seemed to have damaged the listeners' ears. In contrast to the noisy comments, Nana closed her eyes and listened carefully.
"Hmm…? Rin, it seems to continue to the left, but there's something on the right."
She listened to the sound's echo to grasp the space, a technique similar to echolocation. I couldn't do it, but apparently, Nana could. Or so she claimed, as I had never seen her make a mistake.
"Something?"
"It's not a living thing… hmm… but it's big."
The accuracy was about this much. She could roughly sense the shape, not the exact form. Combined with a detection skill, she could tell if it was a monster or a moving object.
"Since it's not a boss and it's not a living thing, it must be a large object…"
"Shall we check it out?"
"Sure. We're making good progress, so let's confirm it."
"Okay."
With a wobbly expression, Nana started down the right passage.
"Seems relaxed."
"Very relaxed."
"Whoa."
"Her smile is nice."
"Clipped it."
"Cheerful?"
"Gap moe… burning?"
"But she's merciless."
"There was a splat sound."
"Good thing there's no blood in the game."
"Scary."
"But cute."
"Unusually cheerful. Ah, I'll take that clip later."
"Hey!"
"LOL"
"Don't slack on editing, w"
"You love Nana too much."
"Rin and Nana are so noble…"
"Pushing the boundaries…!"
"Stop the NG act."
"Don't be lazy."
"It's fine, we'll be running events for a while."
From my perspective, Nana's current expression was different from her usual composed and dignified one, making her even more charming. While I couldn't forget the memories of Nana stored in my brain, it would be nice to have a replayable medium to store this. Of course, I could save it myself as the listeners suggested, but I rarely edited videos myself. I'll leave it to the team as usual.
"Rin, over here."
"Sorry, I'm coming."
Following Nana's call, I arrived at a dead end in the dungeon where a large treasure chest sat. The cheerful Nana aimed for a simpler, more brutal kill. Her killing intent was strong, about 30% berserker.
