It was early September.
The scorching heat had yet to fully subside.
In a dark alley of the Wu Prefecture Antiques City, the surrounding space suddenly began to distort dramatically.
The next second,
a figure appeared out of thin air, a scene that would have terrified anyone in the alley had there been anyone around.
"Exactly a thousand years have passed, I, Shen Feng, have returned."
A deep voice emerged from the figure.
The man appeared to be around twenty years old, standing at about 1.8 meters tall. His chiseled features were as sharp as if carved by a knife, and his eyes held a depth that was hard to fathom.
However, his tattered long robe and disheveled long hair made him look more like a beggar.
After calculating with his fingers, Shen Feng finally let out a sigh of relief.
Three years ago,
he was just an ordinary student at a medical university. His family lived in the mountains, where conditions were extremely poor. To ease the burden on his parents, he often went into the mountains to gather herbs, selling them to supplement the household income.
On that particular day, with his mood extremely low, he stayed in the mountains until it was dark. He remembered clearly that a sudden fierce wind began to howl in the sky, and then he was swept into a black vortex. When he woke up, he found that everything had changed; he had crossed over to the Immortal Realm.
In the Immortal Realm, where the weak were preyed upon by the strong, Shen Feng experienced countless brushes with death.
He finally resolved to become a powerful figure. By a stroke of luck, he obtained various powerful legacies.
In just a thousand years, he became the youngest Immortal Emperor in the Immortal Realm, ruling over a vast domain.
After reaching the level of Immortal Emperor, his deepest longing was for his parents on Earth. He wanted to return to his homeland and see them.
Using extraordinary means, he forced his way through the void and finally returned to Earth.
After calculating with his fingers, he realized that while a thousand years had passed in the Immortal Realm, only three years had passed on Earth. Could his parents still be alive?
Shen Feng felt the state of his body, his heart filled with bitterness. The forced journey through the void, coupled with Earth's restrictive power, had stripped him of all his cultivation. Even his Immortal Emperor body was in disarray, with only a few wisps of spirit energy remaining within him.
"Perhaps the powerful figures who ruled my domain in the Immortal Realm don't even know I have left."
Shen Feng muttered to himself and then walked out of the alley.
As he walked through the Antiques City, the streets on both sides were lined with various stalls, and curious gazes occasionally swept over him.
Shen Feng paused, his brows slightly furrowed. On the right was a fortune-telling stall, with a rectangular banner hanging beside it, boldly proclaiming "Immortal Master Fortune Telling."
As an Immortal Emperor, Shen Feng was highly sensitive to the word "Immortal."
The fortune-telling stall was surrounded by many people and had some fame within the Antiques City.
The fortune-teller was a middle-aged man with a slender build, a mustache, and a mole on his right chin. He was known as Master Wu in the Antiques City.
After all, this was not the Immortal Realm, and he found it irritating that such a mere mortal would dare to call himself an "Immortal." However, he did not want to waste his time.
But Master Wu caught sight of Shen Feng, who was about to pass by, and said in a mysterious tone, "Everyone, look at this young man. His forehead is dark, indicating that he will soon face a disaster."
"He also has the signs of financial ruin between his eyebrows, suggesting that he will be a beggar for life."
Master Wu directly treated Shen Feng as a beggar.
A cold smile flickered across Shen Feng's lips.
Dark forehead? He had just crossed through the void, and his body was covered in dust.
And his appearance clearly indicated that he was not a wealthy person; even a fool could see that.
"Shen Feng?"
A clear and surprised voice suddenly reached Shen Feng's ears.
A woman with a delicate face, soft and beautiful features, and a well-proportioned figure, exuding the charm of a typical southern beauty, caught his eye. "Su Jingyu?"
Shen Feng and Su Jingyu were classmates in high school.
Back then, Su Jingyu was the school's acknowledged beauty, and the ordinary Shen Feng had little interaction with her.
After so many years, Shen Feng did not expect that this former school beauty could recognize him at first glance.
Su Jingyu was sitting in front of the fortune-telling stall, and it seemed that Master Wu was reading her fortune.
A fresh smile appeared on her face, and she nodded slightly to Shen Feng, acknowledging him.
After all, they were not very familiar in high school, and they had spoken only a few times in the past three years.
Shen Feng sat down on the chair next to Su Jingyu. Since Master Wu had provoked him, he felt it was only right to give him a taste of his own medicine.
In the Immortal Realm, Shen Feng was never one to take a loss. He looked at Master Wu for a moment, nodding and shaking his head in feigned agreement.
Su Jingyu watched her former classmate curiously. She knew that Shen Feng's family was very poor, but she did not think he had fallen to the point of begging.
Master Wu stroked his mustache, thinking he was some kind of hero with four eyebrows like Lu Xiaofeng?
He said impatiently, "Do your job as a beggar. I have no money to give you. The two sentences I just said were a gift, and I won't charge you a penny."
Shen Feng replied calmly, "It's impolite not to return a favor. I'll give you a few words in return."
"Have you been having trouble sleeping lately? Stomach pain and constipation? Your abilities in that area have declined? Your appetite is not as good as before? And you have severe bad breath?"
Master Wu was taken aback. He indeed had all these symptoms, and they had not improved despite seeing a doctor. They were all accurately described by this beggar in front of him.
He was intimidated by Shen Feng and asked involuntarily, "What should I do?"
Shen Feng smiled and said, "It's simple. You have a blockage of stagnant energy in your body. Stand up, and I can help you right now."
He concentrated a part of the residual spirit energy in his body into his voice, making Master Wu feel dazed and follow his command without resistance.
Shen Feng pointed at Master Wu's stomach, and a wisp of spirit energy seeped into his body.
When Master Wu came to his senses, his face turned grim. He felt something was very wrong. He was an Immortal Master! How could he be fooled by a beggar? Who would come to him for fortune-telling in the future?
"You're talking nonsense. I don't have any of those symptoms. Do you think you're a divine doctor just because you're a beggar? Get lost!" Master Wu shouted in a fit of rage.
Su Jingyu, sitting beside him, became increasingly curious. Her beautiful eyes kept examining Shen Feng. From Master Wu's reaction, she could tell that Shen Feng had accurately described his symptoms.
Master Wu, still in a rage, felt something was wrong. Why did he suddenly feel the urge to pass gas? And he couldn't hold it in.
Fortunately, the sound of the gas was very quiet, but the smell was intense.
The people around the stall immediately wrinkled their noses, and some even covered their noses.
Master Wu looked at a young man with yellow teeth beside him and said sternly, "It seems you still have a long way to go in your cultivation. How can we, as Immortal Masters, release such filth? Pay attention next time, or I'll expel you from my school."
The young man with yellow teeth, nominally Master Wu's disciple, was actually responsible for dealing with troublemakers.
Seeing the disdainful gazes of the people around him, the young man felt like crying. He thought to himself, "I didn't pass gas! How can it be so smelly? How can I continue to live in the Antiques City?"
As everyone's attention shifted to the young man with yellow teeth,
Master Wu's face suddenly changed. He felt the urge to pass gas again. This time, he was on guard and tried his best to hold it in, his face turning increasingly red.
He couldn't let a single fart ruin his reputation as Master Wu!
The urge to pass gas grew stronger, and he said in a strained voice, "That's all for today. I need to discipline my disciple."
Just as he finished speaking,
Master Wu's face changed dramatically. He couldn't hold it in any longer, reaching his limit.
"Ugh—"
"Bang!"
"Rip—"
A long, loud fart echoed through the air.
Then, a loud noise came from behind Master Wu, and his pants tore open, leaving him feeling a cold breeze on his buttocks.
A foul smell spread through the air.
A fart that tore his pants? Was it really that exaggerated?
All eyes were on Master Wu, who looked relieved. Shen Feng smiled and said, "The Immortal Master truly has the body of an immortal. Even a fart is so extraordinary. I think the Immortal Master might be able to kill with a fart. Standing behind you could really get someone killed by your fart."
