I opened my eyes.

I took a deep breath and let it out.

I am alive.

From a low perspective, I saw small hands. It was the body of a child.

...It’s a success. I have been reborn.

Despite feeling unwell from the sudden integration of memories, I was relieved. I was confident, but if I had failed, it would have meant death. Naturally, I was anxious.

Still, what does this mean?

In the dimly lit room, I was sitting on the floor, about three years old. On the floor, a magic circle was drawn, centered around me. It was not the circle of transmigration I saw at the end of my previous life. In fact, I had never seen such a hexagonal magic circle before.

At each vertex of the hexagon, there were stones of some kind. They looked like minerals, but I had no idea what they were.

I also sensed the presence of people. A few of them were behind me. I could faintly hear what sounded like incantations.

The magic circle was faintly glowing, indicating that some kind of ritual was in progress. I considered whether I should try to escape, but the memories this body held didn’t seem to be unpleasant, so I decided to wait. I didn’t want to take any strange actions and arouse suspicion.

"In the name of――――grant the power this one possesses!!"

With a deep male voice, the magic circle glowed intensely and then disappeared. Nothing happened. The people behind me were silent. What, what is this? A failure?

"――――haha, hahaha"

A small laugh broke the uncomfortable silence.

"Haha, seriously? Is this for real? Hahaha!"

"Gry, stop laughing. It’s not over yet."

"Luft, you know it’s over. Look! None of the attribute stones are glowing. This means... that, right, Father?"

I turned around. There were three people. Two of them were children, a bit older than me. One was a boy with a mischievous smile, and the other was a serious-looking boy. In the dim light, it was hard to see, but they had golden hair and blue eyes. Foreigners? Is this a Western country? But the language I heard was unfamiliar, and their features also had some similarities to the people of Japan, which confused me.

"...That’s right. The ritual is over. The result is clear."

The last of the three, a middle-aged man, closed his book and spoke in a low voice, with a tone of disappointment, as if he was about to sigh.

"Seika has no magical power at all."

Seika.

That is my name in this life. It was in the memories of this body.

"That’s... disappointing, Father."

"Haha, hahaha! I can’t believe it. Who would have thought that a child with no magical power would be born into the great family of magic, the Lamproug family? Did you know, Luft? Having no magical power means being the worst dropout as a magician! Despite carrying Father’s blood, Seika, you’re a real embarrassment!"

The disappointed and mocking gazes from the three people, who were probably my family, were something I had never experienced before. I tilted my head in confusion.

Magical power is probably the ability to use spells. It seems they are all saying that I have no talent for magic. But that can’t be right.

In a reincarnated body, a form that can replicate the structure of my soul is automatically chosen. As a result, it tends to be similar. In appearance and build. And even in magical talent.

I focused on the power flowing through me. There was no need to confirm it. In fact, it was... beyond my imagination.

They say I have no talent for magic? What are they talking about? This body is overflowing with such... magical power.
