Chapter 53

March 25th, today marks the start of the comic adaptation of my new work, "The Chronicles of the Reincarnated Noble in a Different World."

...I'm sorry, I don't know the release time.

The Guild Master, who was trembling at my words, shouted:

"Capture him! No, don't worry about whether he's alive or dead! Go!"

At his words, the soldiers who had been frozen in place drew their swords and prepared to attack. They are, after all, the soldiers of this town. I can't kill them.

I braced myself and waited for their reaction.

Three of them attacked simultaneously, but I dodged, striking one in the stomach, kicking another away, and the third was dragged down by the soldier I had kicked.

"Everyone, attack at once!!"

The Guild Master shouted, but no one moved. They must realize the difference in strength.

After Kokuyou punched two more soldiers away, he floated another fireball.

"I can't hold back any longer. If you die, don't complain."

At my words, the soldiers took a step back.

"Damn it. Wait. You all fall back for a moment."

At Garan's words, I felt relieved inside but didn't show it on my face.

"Take those who are lying there with you. If you don't, Kokuyou will crush them."

The remaining soldiers dragged the fallen soldiers and fled.

"...We really need to escape quickly..."

I stroked Kokuyou's neck and said, "Thanks, you saved me." He chirped and wagged his tail as he returned to the stable.

I opened the door and went back into the house.

In the hall, three people were lined up, weapons at the ready.

"What's wrong? Why such a face..."

"You came to capture us, right? We will fight too."

At Natalie's words, I shook my head.

"I've already sent them away. By force, of course. But more importantly, we need to prepare to escape immediately."

I told them to bring their belongings, and I would store them in my dimensional storage. They brought their belongings from their rooms.

I stored the belongings of the two of them. Natalie was carrying hers, so it was just the store's belongings left.

"Felis, we're leaving this house. Can you stay in the stone?"

"Sure..."

Felis approached me, touched the stone, and disappeared as if being sucked in.

"Alright, no problem. Let's go."

At my words, they nodded and left the house. Kokuyou, sensing the situation, came out of the stable.

...Still, it's a shame to leave this house. It has a bath, and the rooms are still clean thanks to Felis.

I touched the front door of the empty house and thought, "I wish I could take it with me..."

...But that's not possible, right? I thought, and then I chanted the storage spell—

The house disappeared.

"Wh-what..."

Shal and the others were stunned.

In front of us, even the foundation of the building had vanished, leaving only a dirt base.

...Huh? It went into the dimensional storage...?

I searched my mind and found it—there it was, labeled 'House'.

"Toya, how much capacity do you have? Tell me later!"

I couldn't believe it myself, but if I can recognize it as an object, I can store it. After all, the house was there.

I took out the carriage from the dimensional storage and hitched it to Kokuyou.

Natalie, seeing the carriage, muttered:

"...Could this carriage also be...?"

Ignoring Natalie's words, I continued preparing for departure.

"Alright, let's go. First, we'll head to Natalie's store."

The three of them got into the carriage, and I climbed onto the driver's seat as Kokuyou started moving.

I used my detection magic in the city, keeping an eye on our surroundings as we made our way to Natalie's store.

"Toya, you still have room in your dimensional storage, right? Store everything you can."

I left Shal and Al to guard the carriage while Natalie and I started storing everything in the dimensional storage.

"That's it. I've lived here for over ten years, but it feels so empty now."

"There's no time for sentiment. We need to leave before the gates close."

"You're right. Let's go."

Natalie and I got into the carriage, and I signaled to Kokuyou.

The sun was already setting, and it was nearly dusk.

The city gates close at dusk and don't open until the next morning.

"Leaving the city at this hour?"

"Yes, I have some urgent business."

"I see... Be careful, monsters come out at night."

"Thank you, we'll be careful."

I waved to the guards at the gate and drove the carriage out of the city.

Our first destination is the western town of Dambler. I really wanted to buy more supplies in the city, but we had to leave in a hurry because the officials had arrived. It was a bit unsettling to head into the forest and then to the Lunette Empire.

Ideally, we could head north directly to the Lunette Empire, but there are checkpoints and soldiers stationed there.

It would be difficult to pass through normally. So, we decided to go through Dambler, secure supplies, and then head through the forest.

We used magic to create light and drove the carriage as far as we could, then set up camp at a location a fair distance from the city.

We entered the forest a bit and found a place with sparse trees, where I told the three of them we would spend the night.

I took out the "house" we used for Shal and Al's training.

"We'll spend the night here."

The two of them nodded, but Natalie—

"Why is this thing in there!!!"

Her voice echoed through the dark forest.

Thank you as always.
