Chapter 6 Road to the future

"I'm afraid the absorbing speed of a middle level mind mentor won't be faster. 'Natural Scriptures' is so great! If only I have enough money, I would tenfold faster than other mind mentors. I can even compare to those genius whose family had legendary warrior before.

Nowadays, human values gene the most. Once a warrior come to the legendary level, his/her gene will be evolved to a perfect version, so the descendants of those legendary warriors will be more suitable to practice than normal ones.

There are eight great families in the Confederation. Their power and wealth is huge. Among those great families, six is the descendants of those kings of gods. The blood of the Kings of Gods! Even have the weakest link in blood with them, he/she would be much more strong than normal talented. However, with 'Natural Scriptures', Feng Lu's speed is almost the same as genius born in families which had legendary warrior before. Although, he still be slower than offspring of Kings of Gods.

Without any hesitation, Feng Lu refine all medicine he bought in half a day's time. He feels his spirit very fresh at this moment. Looking around the surroundings, he feels everything is changed in his eyes. Even nothing is really changed physically, they seem full of spirituality with a sense of logic. This feeling is new to Feng Lu, and he knows this all because of 'Natural Scriptures'.

Open the sunroof, Feng Lu looking out to the dark night, and feels like he is right under the stars. He gives up his plan to buy more medicine. "it is unbelievable that 'Natural Scriptures' has so great effect. I think I will break through to the junior mind mentor with a few more bottle of medicine. In the Confederation, normal one with mind mentor talent would spend more than half a month hard practicing on break through one shield with full spirit power. Considering Feng Lu didn't have mind mentor practice before. All his time was spend on physical practice but never on mind spirit practice. Although he did tried practice on mind spirit, but his result for so many years is no more than those talents got from several days' practice.

Yongheng Li gave him the refreshing medicine in the hope of help him to pass the exam, after all although with high quality, the refreshing medicine has no such great effects as real high-level medicine.

"Anyway, pharmacy is closed now and I have nothing to do. How about get on the network and have a test of my development level and spiritual level!"

The spiritual level is similar to strength level of warriors, which is used to mark the level of a mind mentor. The basic unit is cohe, and the standard for junior mentor is one cohe. As for the development level, it is used to test the talent of mind mentor and his/her strength when fighting. You know, the greatest role of mind mentor is to control mechs and warships. Only with spirit power is not enough. The situation is similar to the warrior. Some warriors has stronger body than normal ones but unable to fulfill some move because their lack of flexibility. Similarly, the flexibility of spirit power is related to the flexibility of controlled mechs and warships. If two mind mentors with the same level of spirit power have a fight, the one higher in development level can kill the lower one easily. Some mind mentor with talent in development level even can challenge a mind mentor in higher level spirit power.

Feng Lu decided to go to network and text his own spirit power as well as development level. Thought of this, he opened the network equipment on his wrist directly. The next moment, a crystal light curtain wrap him, and he seems fall into sleep.

On the network, Feng Lu opened the map of network earth, start searching for the Hall of mind mentors.

Eight thousand years ago, after four thousand years' development of Cosmic Age, human's technology finally run into the bottleneck. At that time, the network came out. It is a virtual world, or a totally new world independent of the actual world. Everything in this world is simulated but very real. People can have all the feelings in this world, but no real death in network.

The emergence of network makes communications between people become frequent. With a certain cost, you can arrive anyplace of the Confederation in a very short time and have almost a real experience there although nothing can be brought back to the actual world. Many people spend a lot of their time in network. Same as Feng Lu, or more accurately speaking, he spend more time in the network for unable to practice in the real world.

Every time he get in the network, looking at those pretty real things, he got a shock from the bottom of his heart. He is surprised by the great of technology and the great of human.

He sigh deeply, and more determined about the road to the future. He knows that technology great as this still cannot makes human the top great ethnic group. Only the warriors, the Kings of Gods can really help human. They are the last foundation of human and the greatest existence. With no hesitation, he walk toward the nearest transfer point.

The only difference between network and the actual world is the transfer points. Of course, the scope of transfer is limited, and it costs a lot of money for each transfer. Money in network can be exchanged with the one in actual world under the exchange rate :one for one.

Soon, Feng Lu come to the front of the nearest transfer matrix. He wait quietly after an endless queue. After a long time, it's his turn finally. He enter without hesitation. Just before he active the transfer matrix and go to the Hall of mind mentors, annoying voice raise up. "Oh! Isn't this our Childe Lu ! He still have time wondering here? Shouldn't you practicing really hard at home for the exam?"

"Oh , right! I almost forget that our Childe Lu has no possibility to pass the exam even let him practice for one hundred years. Rather than waste time on the meaningless practice, it would be better for him to enjoy the last happy time here!"

Hear this, Feng Lu doesn't turn around, just grip his fist tightly. He knows clearly who he is without a look. He doesn't want to confront with this guy not because he is afraid of him but for he doesn't want to face the girl beside this guy.

"How? Is our Childe Lu going to enter business world and get really rich after graduation? Did he forget his old classmates since high school already? I'm so hurt if you doing so."

Finally, after took a deep breath, Feng Lu turn around. His pupil slightly contracted a bit when he saw the two persons. As he thought, the girl standing beside this guy.

Looking at the complex look on Feng Lu's face and the mixed a little complex and more indifferent expression on the girl's face, the guy sneer with a smile. "Look, Yan, our Childe Lu still has feelings for you. How touching this love is! Maybe you should reconsider to go back to him?"

Heard the man's words, the girl named Yan skim her mouth slightly. The complex color on her face disappear completely. " Even if you really want, I won't willing to. A man unable to practice is a totally waste even born in a rich family. The boyfriend of me, Yan Li, even he couldn't be the real warrior, but at least he can be a junior warrior. Or, how can he protect me in the future?"

Feng Lu take a deep breath hearing her talking like this. He already guessed this situation when he turned around. Before, when he confront things like this, he would leave quickly for he cannot face such uncomfortable scenes even he is optimistic enough. However, at this moment, after he complete the great evolution, this is no big deal for him. He knows everything is different from the moment he wakes up. He is rebirthed, and became a new Feng Lu. He won't hold back anymore, he will be aggressive with strength and face everything, never take a step back!

Finally, like Yan Li, all the complex expression on Feng Lu's face replaced by another light but strong look. And Yan Li and the guy besides her, looking at the change on Feng Lu's face, surprised for a moment.
