After all the participants understood today's program schedule, the recording of "X-MAN" officially began.
In the first segment introducing the guests, as a new and extremely popular guest appearing on the show for the first time, the main MC, Liu Zai Shi, naturally introduced Zhang Chengyuan with great solemnity: "Today, we have a new guest, the handsome man who made Cheng Youli fall in love with his coldness in 'The First Love of the Crown Prince,' and saved the TV ratings. He has a perfect appearance and physique that makes all men in South Korea jealous and all women adore."
Feeling that Liu Zai Shi's praise was a bit excessive, Zhang Chengyuan was afraid that some viewers might be put off, so he immediately bowed to the camera and said humbly, "Brother Zai Shi, you flatter me too much, I don't deserve it! Hello everyone, I am Zhang Chengyuan." His actions were crisp and steady, and his words were concise and powerful, making people feel good at first glance, but it was a bit dull.
Liu Zai Shi immediately said, "No wonder you are the most famous cool guy on TV this year, you can still remain calm even after my praise. Sigh, if I praised Brother Hu Dong... sigh!" He shook his head and sighed as he spoke.
Jin Ji Dong picked up the conversation, "If Brother Hu Dong were praised like this, he would laugh for three days and three nights."
As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang Hu Dong burst into a loud laugh, his mouth wide open, and his eyes almost invisible. His laughter, to be precise, was more like a howl, like the wailing of a crow. His laughter was his trademark, unique and unforgettable, initially it might sound unpleasant, but once you get used to it, it becomes very funny, especially when paired with his exaggerated facial expressions and body movements, making everyone unable to hold back their laughter.
Compared to Zhang Chengyuan's dullness, although Jiang Hu Dong had a mountain-like build, he was like a child who never grew old. Of course, it might just be his personality on variety shows; no one knew how he was in real life. Regardless, everyone present was amused by Jiang Hu Dong, and the atmosphere became much livelier.
Zhang Chengyuan couldn't help but smile, and he was deeply impressed by Jiang Hu Dong's ability to make people laugh. However, he had no intention of learning this skill, as doing so would not only fail to boost his popularity but also damage his consistently masculine and cool image.
After introducing all the guests, it was time for the much-loved dance segment, where guests perform short, unrestrained dances to either show off their charm or make people laugh, thus livening up the atmosphere. In this segment, many guests were not dance experts, and some were even complete novices. Coupled with a few guests deliberately being silly, it often resulted in hilarious scenes that left people in stitches.
Before Zhang Chengyuan's turn, Yoon Eun-hye, Lee Jin, and Jeon Hye-bin each performed in sequence. All three were experienced and performed brilliantly, earning enthusiastic applause. Among them, Jeon Hye-bin's dance skills were the most outstanding, with the most beautiful and elegant movements, especially her mastery of spinning and WAVE steps. When she spun, she was as gentle as a willow in the wind, and when she moved, it was like waves undulating, captivating the heart. During her dance, she glanced at Zhang Chengyuan a few times, her eyes filled with tender affection, seemingly trying to melt his heart, but the reserved Zhang Chengyuan didn't notice, only thinking about how he would dance.
Yoon Eun-hye was also a skilled dancer, and compared to most female artists, her dance was more powerful and dynamic, living up to her nickname "female warrior." Although she often performed sexy dance moves, the overall impression she gave was that she was very fresh and cute.
Lee Jin's dance, on the other hand, could be described with one word: "stiff." She was so stiff that she was jokingly called the "stiff fairy." "Fairy" was a compliment, but "stiff" was a source of frustration for her, especially since she was a former member of a girl group. Despite her best efforts to practice, she saw no improvement. Zhang Chengyuan found out that the reason was her naturally stiff spine and waist, a condition that neither modern medicine nor Zhang Chengyuan could cure. Lee Jin had to accept this reality. However, in some variety shows, her unique and funny dance moves earned her a lot of popularity, a case of losing in one area but gaining in another.
After Lee Jin finished her dance, Zhang Chengyuan was called up by Liu Zai Shi to perform. Zhang Chengyuan was a bit nervous. Although Park Byung-ryul had told him to prepare well a few days ago, he had no interest in hip-swinging and jumping, so he hadn't prepared at all, thinking he would just dance randomly on stage. However, seeing how hard each guest performed, he felt that if he danced carelessly, it would be impolite and annoying, so he decided to take it seriously.
On the small circular stage with a diameter of about one meter, Zhang Chengyuan imitated a young singer named Lee Seung-gi, slightly swaying his hips to start the dance. Then, he suddenly touched the ground with the tip of his left foot, lifted his right leg over his head, and grabbed it with both hands. Next, he suddenly spun rapidly, like a spinning top.
This move was a figure skating move he learned a few years ago while filming a school uniform advertisement, called the Biellmann spin. This move is difficult even for professional male figure skaters to perform on ice, but Zhang Chengyuan, wearing canvas shoes, managed to do it on the ground, leaving everyone in the audience dazzled and speechless. They then looked at Zhang Chengyuan's shoes with suspicion, wondering if they were some kind of high-tech sports shoes.
Zhang Chengyuan didn't intend to shock the world; it was just a last-minute solution. The only dance-related skill he had was figure skating, and the only move he could perform on the small stage was the Biellmann spin. With this in mind, he put in a lot of effort to execute the move.
After spinning for about ten times, Zhang Chengyuan was about to stop and leave the stage when Jiang Hu Dong suddenly bent his knees and lunged forward, grabbing Zhang Chengyuan's shoe and pulling it off, exclaiming, "Treasure shoes, treasure shoes, this must be a treasure, otherwise how could it support such a difficult move?" It seemed he was praising the shoes, but he was actually praising Zhang Chengyuan. His exaggerated actions made everyone laugh, while Zhang Chengyuan was taken aback by his unexpected move, not knowing what to do.
Liu Zai Shi, laughing, stopped Zhang Chengyuan and said, "Dance a bit more, dance a bit more, it's too amazing."
Zhang Chengyuan looked at the shoe in Jiang Hu Dong's hand, and Liu Zai Shi immediately took the shoe and handed it back to Zhang Chengyuan, scolding Jiang Hu Dong, "Stop looking, even the toughest shoes can't withstand your big feet."
Zhang Chengyuan put on his shoe and was pushed back onto the stage by Liu Zai Shi and Jiang Hu Dong. Not knowing what to do next, he glanced back and saw Lee Jin's face, and had an idea. Since he couldn't dance, he might as well imitate Lee Jin's stiff dance to make her laugh. Using his excellent memory and physical abilities, he perfectly mimicked Lee Jin's dance moves. As he was about to finish, he straightened his body, stuck his hands to his sides, and brought his feet together, bouncing like a zombie while staring at Lee Jin, as if hinting at something.
Everyone burst into laughter, clearly recognizing that he was referring to Lee Jin's nickname, "stick." Lee Jin immediately rushed over to hit Zhang Chengyuan, who turned and ran, but was quickly caught and received a few light punches. Lee Jin whispered, "I'll deal with you later," but this was exactly what Zhang Chengyuan wanted, as he hadn't seen Lee Jin for several days.
The recording continued, and the remaining guests also performed some lively dances, creating many laughs, especially the strange and terrifying dance created by the recently resurgent comedian Shin Jeong-hwan, who was originally a singer. Everyone couldn't help but burst into laughter, completely disregarding their image.
