Gao Yang delivered an opening speech at the opening ceremony of the Nanjing Army Officer School, addressing 1,582 first-term students dressed in imitation World War II German Wehrmacht uniforms produced by the Feng County Garment Factory. The speech was written by the famous writer Hu Shi. In his speech, Gao Yang talked extensively about the nation, ethnicity, democracy, and science, calling on young students to dedicate themselves to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The last part of the speech was added by Gao Yang himself.

After the opening ceremony, the students immediately immersed themselves in intense studies. Gao Yang had no patience to wait for their graduation in two years; the second term would begin recruiting in just three months. Gao Yang's military operations would definitely start by next year at the latest! After all, the main focus for Gao Yang was still in the modern era.

Wang Dashi sat in the classroom, diligently taking notes. Each German instructor was accompanied by a bio-warrior as a translator. Although he took notes diligently, he understood very little of the content. "I was recommended to come here for studies; I can't let the military governor down," Wang Dashi thought to himself.

At this moment, a "buzzing..." sound came from the sky. "Those guys from the aviation team are at it again," Wang Dashi thought, somewhat speechless.

Among the mercenaries who arrived with the military instructors, over 200 non-commissioned officer instructors went to the Anqing NCO School, while 22 pilots and 41 ground mechanics were assigned to the 6th Army Division's aviation team by Gao Yang as instructors. Gao Yang also purchased 36 Fokker aircraft.

Gao Yang arranged for over 300 physically fit flight students and a larger number of ground crew students. It wasn't that he couldn't recruit more, but the instructors couldn't handle that many! Gao Yang's plan was to use the German instructors to train the first batch of students, who would then become instructors to train more pilots. With enough pilots, Gao Yang could buy a large number of the best piston-engine aircraft from the modern era to equip them. Equipment should wait for people, not the other way around.

From dawn till dusk, the planes flew continuously, but the pilots could rest while the planes couldn't. A large number of spare parts for various aircraft were purchased, and training would continue as long as there was no thunder or hail!

Being a pilot wasn't a high-level job; as long as one had good physical fitness, they could fly. There were many illiterate ace pilots in the history of air combat. As for fuel consumption, Gao Yang was already purchasing over 1 million barrels of crude oil per month from the Standard Oil Company! Moreover, the refinery built by Standard Oil in Wuhu had already started production, providing enough fuel for the aviation team's students.

At first, the citizens of Nanjing were very curious about the large birds flying in the sky every day, but after a few days, they were all angry and cursing. It was really noisy!

Gao Yang purchased over 2,000 acres of land in Daxiaochang to build the Daxiaochang Airport as the base for the aviation team. Construction of the airport began before the New Year, with two 3,000-meter-long concrete runways! Gao Yang built them according to the standards of jet aircraft runways.

The surrounding control towers, hangars, fuel depots, pilot dormitories, duty rooms, and searchlights were all completed, and even anti-aircraft gun positions were built, though there were no anti-aircraft guns yet. There were also many specialized vehicles.

The entire airport was surrounded by barbed wire, and a dedicated airport security force was responsible for its safety. When the German pilots and ground crew arrived at the airport, they were truly shocked. They had never seen such a luxurious airport during the entire European war! The surrounding airspace was excellent, very suitable for flying. The entire ground was paved with concrete, and most of the production from Gao Yang's cement factory in Feng County was used in Nanjing.

Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Miller was one of those who were shocked. As a "big gun" of the German Air Force during the European war, Thomas Miller had a glorious record of shooting down 12 enemy aircraft and had appeared on the front pages of newspapers multiple times.

Unfortunately, these achievements meant nothing after the war. The Treaty of Versailles stipulated that Germany could not have an air force, so Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Miller was unemployed. During the financial crisis that swept Germany, Thomas Miller and his family fell into poverty. At this time, a comrade recommended a job in the distant East to him. The other party could prepay three years' salary in pounds! Without hesitation, Thomas Miller left all the money to his family and boarded a ship to the City of Magic.

Gao Yang appointed Thomas Miller as the captain of the aviation team, giving him the task of training pilots and ground crew as quickly as possible. He could ask for whatever he needed! Thomas Miller used the most direct method: continuous high-intensity training.

At this time, Gao Yang was in his official residence, discussing the construction of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge with Kent Ralph, an architect from the German Philipp Holzmann Construction Company.

"Mr. Gao, I have reviewed the construction plans. To be frank, this is the most challenging construction project I have ever seen," Ralph said, frowning.

Gao Yang picked up the coffee in front of him, took a slow sip, and said lightly, "Mr. Ralph, I don't want to hear about difficulties. I just want to know if your company can do it!" His words were soft, but his tone was heavy!

"I need a strong construction team, all the building materials, and construction machinery. I can only say that theoretically, it is possible, but..."

Gao Yang interrupted him directly, "Alright, I will give you whatever you need. I have only one requirement: build it as quickly as possible! The final deadline for your company is three years. For every day you exceed the deadline, I will deduct 10,000 pounds from your company's construction fee. If you exceed the deadline by three months, I won't pay you a penny."

He raised his hand to stop Ralph from speaking and continued, "I have reviewed the construction fee your company requested. If you can ensure the quality and complete the project within three years, I will pay you double! What you need to do now is not to argue with me but to start your work immediately! Every minute is money for your company." After saying this, Gao Yang put down his coffee cup and left the meeting room.

Mr. Ralph was stunned for a moment and then ran out of Gao Yang's official residence like a rabbit hit by an arrow.

Gao Yang looked at the darkening sky, rubbed his stomach, and prepared to have dinner. He activated the time travel to return to the modern era's mine villa. Just as he was about to ask the chef to prepare lunch, his phone received an unread text message: "OPPA, I fell while practicing dance and am now in the hospital." It was from Soo Kyung.

Gao Yang was startled and quickly called back. The ringing continued, but no one answered! Gao Yang became increasingly anxious, and suddenly the call was disconnected. Gao Yang felt a chill, "What happened? Is she not answering or...?" While Gao Yang was lost in thought, a text message arrived.

"OPPA, my mom is here. I can't answer the phone now."

Gao Yang felt a warm surge of happiness, and a faint sense of contentment made him feel a bit dizzy. However, he soon became deeply worried. After gently stroking his phone for a moment, Gao Yang replied to Soo Kyung, "I'll come to see you."

He activated the time travel to 1925 Nanjing and then again to the modern era's Beidu. "Origin, modify all my surveillance, arrange an identity for me, and book the fastest flight to Seoul."

"It will cost a lot of energy points," Origin said with a teasing tone.

Gao Yang took a hat from the wardrobe and put it on, smiling, "Do you know a saying I heard before?"

"What saying?" Origin asked curiously.

"Money is a bastard; spend it and earn it again," Gao Yang said with a smile.

The BMW was towed away by the traffic police at the airport again, and Gao Yang was too lazy to go and claim it, so he had to take a taxi.

At this time, in a hospital in Seoul, Soo Kyung was lying in bed, replying to Gao Yang's text message, "Where is OPPA? If you're busy, you don't have to come."

After sending the message, she bit her lip, her expression somewhat hesitant. Through their text message exchanges, she could vaguely sense Gao Yang's feelings, but she was very conflicted about what to do.

Chatting with Gao Yang made her feel very happy. His words were full of care and comfort, and there was a touch of humor. Each time, it made her feel very relaxed after a tiring day at work. But what if he really pursued her?

"Rest well, I'll be there soon." Gao Yang's reply was quick. Soo Kyung was surprised. She knew he wasn't in Korea, so how did he get here? Was he really flying over just to see her? Her surprise was mixed with a faint sense of happiness and joy.

The door opened gently, and Soo Kyung's mother walked in. Soo Kyung quickly closed her phone and looked at her mother. "Let's eat. It's all your favorite food," her mother said, having just bought the food.

"Okay," Soo Kyung replied, eating absentmindedly.

"Don't worry, the doctor said it's not serious. You'll get better soon," her mother noticed her daughter's unusual behavior but thought it was just because of the injury and didn't think much of it.

"Mom, after you finish eating, go home and rest. I'm fine," Soo Kyung said softly.

"Are you sure? I can stay with you," her mother said with a smile.

"No, Mom, you've had a hard day. Go home and rest. I'm fine. I'll go to sleep soon," Soo Kyung said, pouting.

"Okay, eat more. I'll go home after you finish," her mother said, patting her daughter's head.

"Okay," Soo Kyung ate faster.

At 10 PM, Gao Yang walked out of Incheon International Airport, got into a taxi, and was about to say "Samsung Hospital" but changed his mind and said, "Go to Seoul Square."

Soo Kyung was idly playing with her phone, looking at the clock, which was almost 11 PM. She was so tired that her eyes were drooping, but she was still trying to stay awake, muttering, "He said he'd be here soon, but it's been so long." Her tone was playful.

A text message suddenly appeared: "What's the room number?" It was from Gao Yang's phone! Soo Kyung was startled, "He really came!" She didn't know how to reply, feeling surprised, nervous, and hesitant. After a long moment, she bit her lip and sent the room number.
