10 minutes is a short length of time, but it felt like a long time before the sound of the system’s 「Ding!」rang out and Gu Anran finally relaxed her tense nerves.

Before she infiltrates the building, she first has to take out the people in the control room and then shut down any cameras and detection equipment. Otherwise, even if she does successfully sneak in, her whereabouts would be immediately revealed to the enemy and they might call in reinforcements.

But how can I figure out what’s going on in the hotel….Gu Anran contemplated when suddenly the red lines disappeared and infrared shapes appeared in her vision. This…the red shapes are people! She turned her head towards a group of four at the entrance and the lens immediately revealed four different infrared figures. So her lense was a thermal activity detector!

Seeping her lens over the hotel, she could see there were a large number of people on the first, second, and fourth floors. Only two people were detected on the third floor and one of the figures was not moving at all while the other person was walking towards the stairs. It seemed she had found Qingli’s location, but…where was the control room?

Where is it….Gu Anran narrowed her eyes. There! She found a small room with two people and they were surrounded by green and yellow grids. Outside of the room were at least six other figures moving about periodically.

However, there was still the problem of the men in black guarding both the front and back doors. Every window on the first floor had at least one man standing beside it and with the snipers lurking about…..it will be impossible to just charge in. She needed a distraction…..

Grabbing a few pebbles on the ground, Gu Anran jumped lightly into a big tree. With the thick branches filled with leaves and the dark cover of the night, Gu Anran was able to easily melt into the darkness. Pulling out one of the thinner branches and a rubber band from one of the pouches hanging off her waist, she was able to make a simple slingshot. Not too far away, she spotted three gangsters. The easiest way to knock someone out is to aim for the neck…and the head!

Pa! Pa! Pa!

Three pebbles shot out quickly and fiercely. The pebbles landed accurately on the group of three and they swayed a bit before they all fell down. There was a trickle of blood flowing from the spots they got hit and it showed just how much strength Gu Anran could easily dispense right now.

She aimed for another group of gangster but of course, she did not knock all the gangsters in her area out. Doing that was basically sending a signal saying, ‘Hey, I’m over here! Come and catch me!’

So she kept changing her position and knocked out about 20 gangsters before she stopped. This number still caused movement and many men in suits moved outside to see what was going on. Taking advantage of the confusion, Gu Anran quietly slipped through a window.

Hiding behind a box, Gu Anran looked around.

Should she say she got lucky or her skills were that great because although the camera lined both sides of the corridor, they were pointed in the direction to the entrance of the hallway and the corridor itself.

Creak….

There were three guards patrolling the area….it shouldn’t be too hard.

At the moment, the three men had their backs facing Gu Anran and so she rushed up, stunning two of the men with a chop to the back of their necks and a hard kick that sent the last man flying.

“Hu….” She felt like a real martial arts master! As long as she thought of it, her body would follow her thoughts and produce those movements with no problem. In her original state, just slipping through the window would’ve been a big problem.

She quickly ‘packed’ the three men together into one of the storage rooms and proceeded to sneak towards the control room.

She hid along the walls, careful to avoid the attention of the cameras, knocking out as many men in suits along the way before she finally arrived at the control room.

Pa!

The last man standing fell to the ground and Gu Anran made her way over to the monitor, her hands flying over the controls. She was about to destroy the entire system when an idea slashed in her mind and a cold smile appeared on her face.

“I refuse, I can do this myself!” Mu Qingli said coldly.

“But Qingli, your hands are indisposed right now. And think about our relationship! It’s best if I am the one who does this for you.” Peng Yanki shook his head helplessly, a pampering expression on his face like he was dealing with a stubborn pet.

“No way. I might as well not wash at all.” Mu Qingli growled, a frown on her face as she looked at the towel and water basin beside Peng Yanki.

This psycho wanted to give her….a sponge bath! And he wanted to wipe her body himself! Even if Mu Qingli had an obsession with cleanliness, other than Gu Anran, she refused to let anyone touch her body!

“But Qingli, I know you will be uncomfortable if you don’t clean up. I know how much you love cleanliness. Don’t worry, I will be very gentle and tender.” Peng Yankai said and then set down the towel in his hands as he moved to undress Mu Qingli.

“Hey! Stop it! Don’t touch me!” Mu Qingli yelled, trying to struggle away from Peng Yankai’s hand. However, the ropes tying her limbs down made it impossible to twist her body completely away.

“My dear, you can’t be like this!” Peng Yankai’s eyes narrowed in pleasure and he crouched down beside the bed.

“Uh!” Mu Qingli stiffened as she realized she was unable to move at all now! The ropes had tightened and she couldn’t move even a muscle like this.

“No..don’t…stop it…”

Mu Qingli watched as he moved closer to her chest and tears appeared in the corner of her eyes. Even her voice was trembling slightly.

Bang!

The door flew open and Gu Anran charged in. With one kick to Peng Yanaki’s back, she was able to send him flying.

Crunch….

Peng Yankai had flown straight into a wall.

“Little…Little Ran.” Mu Qingli raised her head to look at the clearly distressed Gu Anran, her tears flowing freely down her cheeks.

Before, Peng Yankai’s body was blocking her sight so she couldn’t see what was going on. Now Gu Anran could clearly see the sorry state Mu Qingli was in and red hot anger built up within her.

With her raw strength, she broke the ropes holding Mu Qingli down. She hugged the weeping Mu Qingli in her arms, cradling her gently as she inspected the red marks around Mu Qingli’s wrists. Then she noticed the deep red marks around Mu Qingli’s neck. She heard the sound of something snapping in her head….

“Cough…cough…who?!! Who are you! Guards!” Peng Yankai staggered to his feet, but the only reply he got was a powerful punch to his face.

“Uwaaahhhh!” Peng Yankai wailed and his hands flew to his face. The bridge of his nose seemed to have broken.

“You’re foolishly brave enough to kidnap people but you can’t even fight properly like the scum you are. Just think for a second about who you tied up. How dare you do that to her?!” Gu Anran grabbed a fistful of Peng Yanaki’s hair and forced him to look directly into her eyes.

“Who…who said that! Qingli and I are-Ahhh!….cough….” Peng Yankai felt the heavy punch land and doubled over as he spit out a mouthful of blood and a few molars.

“Qingli? You dare to call her that?” Gu Anran punched him in the abdomen and watched as he shrank back in pain. She returned to Mu Qingli’s side and soothingly patted her back.

“It’s ok, everything is going to be fine now. Let’s go, Qingli.”

“En…” Mu Qingli nodded her head and tried to stand up, only to stumble back down. She had been unconscious for hours and tied down for even longer, so her legs were giving out on her.

‘Careful.” Gu Anran reached out and caught the Mu Qingli who was about to fall.

“You’re tired. Take a break first. We’re gonna go home soon.”

“Mhm.” Mu Qingli buried her face into Gu Anran’s neck, the familiar smell causing her tense nerves to relax and soon the exhaustion overtook her.

After making sure that Mu Qingli was asleep, Gu Anran grabbed the blanket and ripped it into strips. She used it to tightly tie Mu Qingli to her body.

Hm?! Footsteps?! We were discovered this quickly?!

She tied up Peng Yankai and threw him into the wardrobe, but not before taking the car keys from his pockets. It was impossible for them to escape through the door now for that would be the equivalent of surrendering and so she grabbed the leftover strips of cloth to create a rope. She tied it to the heavy bed’s bedpost and then started climbing out the window. Once they were a few feet from the ground, she jumped.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The guards were banging at the door now.

“Huuu….” With another person on her back, Gu Anran rushed towards the ground, her body a little unstable as she landed but it was safe landing nevertheless.

She got up off the ground and began running towards the parking lot.

At the same time, Peng Yanaki was rescued out of the wardrobe by his people.

“Young Master.” The leading man said with a bow.

“Cough, cough…..Immediately give chase. If you can’t bring her back, then directly eliminate them. Dispatch every available force immediately!” Peng Yankai roared.

“Understood!”
