Chapter 21

Amelia's life in the Hernberg household for three days can be summed up in one phrase.

It was truly a "dream life."

She slept as much as she wanted, ate as much as she wanted, and took as many baths as she wanted.

During the day, she strolled around the mansion, read books in the library she found along the way, and chatted with the servants.

At first, some of the servants kept their distance, having believed the rumors spread by the Haggle family, but thanks to her personal maid Sylphie, who gave a more accurate impression of Amelia, and the fact that Amelia was actually serious, friendly, and somewhat absent-minded, they soon relaxed and became close.

Amelia was leading a fulfilling life both mentally and physically. What else could you call it but a dream life?

While it might seem like an unhealthy lifestyle at first glance, she woke up early in the morning and ate meals prepared by the chef with a well-balanced nutrition, making it rather healthy.

For Amelia, whose life had been in disarray until now, life in the Hernberg household brought visible changes to her.

The dark circles under her eyes, caused by lack of sleep, had completely disappeared, and her skin tone had gradually improved due to the continuous intake of nutrients.

Although she was still thin enough to be called a bony lady, since coming to the Hernberg household, she had developed a newfound appreciation for food and continued to eat everything with relish, so it wouldn't be long before she reached an average weight.

"Heehee♪ Heehee♪"

"You seem to be in a good mood, Lady Amelia."

"Ah, you can tell, can't you?"

After her morning bath, in her room.

Amelia turned to Sylphie, who was brushing her hair, with a smile like a child who had been given candy.

Sylphie, who knew the reason for Amelia's good mood, smiled softly.

"It's finally the day, isn't it?"

"Yes, I've been waiting so long."

– That's right.

Today was the long-awaited day for a garden stroll.

The order to rest in bed, which she received on the first day, now seemed like ancient history.

For Amelia, who had never missed a day of admiring plants while living with her parents, not being able to touch nature for 72 hours was a matter of life and death.

To prevent her from acting out due to withdrawal symptoms, she had been distracting herself with the plants she brought from home, but nature is something you can't resist, no matter what.

The various scents given off by the plants, the adorable flowers that made her cheeks relax just by looking at them, the fragrant smell of the soil, the bright sun...

Each element of nature was mysterious, dear, and could be said to be a part of her.

Recalling these three days without nature.

The frustration of only being able to gaze at it through the windows of the mansion was like the days of yearning for a lover torn apart by the gods.

But, that's all over today.

It's over.

I'm going to see you now...

"Heehee... Heeheehee... Heeheeheeheeheehee..."

"Lady Amelia, you're scary."
