Chapter 4

Fire Pepper's left foot stepped on Summer's right foot. Only after Summer pointed it out did she realize it and quickly moved her foot away. But she immediately realized a problem—she was standing up for this person, but he didn't appreciate it and even said she stepped on his foot.

"Summer, I'm standing up for you, and you dare to talk to me like this?" Fire Pepper was known for her fiery temper, which could be ignited at the slightest provocation.

"You misunderstood." Summer wanted to explain to avoid further trouble.

"Fire Pepper, this is your territory. I didn't expect that the famous Fire Pepper of Jianghai High School couldn't even handle a little trouble in her own class." Xu Shaocong stood up: "Xiaoya, I'll leave first so as not to delay Fire Sister from handling her family affairs."

"Xu Shaocong, I'll deal with you later." Fire Pepper glared at Xu Shaocong and then turned to Summer: "They say a scholar is useless, and it's true. What good is your good academic performance if you can't even stand up for yourself? I'm standing up for you, and you talk to me like this."

"You have bad breath." Summer frowned, not looking at Fire Pepper. He knew she must have eaten stinky tofu just now.

"You... You're making me so angry. Do you think I won't dare to hit you?" Fire Pepper gritted her teeth. Although she and Summer were in the same grade for three years, she had never spoken to him before.

Today, she stood up for Summer, but he talked to her like this and even said she had bad breath.

"Fire Sister, let me take care of this guy for you." The girl behind Fire Pepper rolled up her sleeves and was about to hit Summer.

Fire Pepper's two followers, though dressed in a non-mainstream style, were not to be trifled with. They were the second and third from the bottom in class academically, but in a fight, several men combined were no match for them.

"Wait." Fire Pepper glanced at Summer: "Let's go, someone will take care of him."

Summer shook his head. He understood Fire Pepper's meaning. Xu Shaocong was clearly trying to provoke him, and Fire Pepper's intervention would make Xu Shaocong cautious. But now that Fire Pepper was stepping back, Xu Shaocong wouldn't let him off.

"Alright, class is starting. We have a mock exam today." The homeroom teacher walked into the classroom and saw Fire Pepper and her two followers heading out. However, the teacher didn't say anything, clearly used to it.

"You two, go back and take the exam, or I'll lose my top spot." Fire Pepper said proudly. Her "top" spot was actually the bottom of the class. She always got the last place in exams, while her two followers were second and third from the bottom.

"Yes, Fire Sister." The two girls returned to the classroom but only answered a couple of questions before leaving again.

Summer looked at the exam paper, and suddenly countless trajectories appeared in his mind. Then the solutions to these problems appeared in his mind. He knew he could solve these problems, but he solved them so quickly that he didn't even need to calculate. The answers just came to him.

About thirty minutes later, he had finished the exam. After checking it twice, he handed it in.

"Summer, did you check it? Why did you hand it in so quickly?" The homeroom teacher frowned, thinking Summer must not have done well: "Are you not well-rested recently? But don't forget to review, the college entrance exam is coming up, and the teachers have high expectations for you."

"Teacher, I've finished. Can I take the other subjects?" Summer wanted to try the other subjects to see if he had the same feeling.

"Finished? Wait, let me see." The homeroom teacher took Summer's paper and quickly glanced at it, finding no blanks and a clean paper. He then gave Summer the paper for the next subject.

As Summer expected, the solutions to these problems appeared in his mind instantly, requiring no thought. He quickly finished the papers for the other subjects as well.

After finishing the exams, Summer left school. The homeroom teacher handed the papers to the subject teachers, who found that Summer's answers were all correct. He must have solved the problems in such a short time, and it couldn't have been cheating.

Just as he walked out of the teaching building, Summer saw a familiar person—Xu Shaocong, with four others behind him, all big and burly, clearly not to be trifled with.

"Fire Sister, should we go help him?" Fire Pepper and her two followers watched from a distance.

"No need. Let him taste some pain. We'll go out after he's had his fill." Fire Pepper said coldly.

"Summer, I heard you didn't even touch Xiaoya. What a pity, it was really good." Xu Shaocong said, looking at Summer.

"She has nothing to do with me anymore. Do whatever you want; there's no need to tell me." Summer smiled slightly. He had long let go of his past, and the Summer who was once troubled by love had died in that car accident. The current Summer wouldn't do anything for that woman anymore.

"Even though you don't deserve to compete with me for a woman and you've already lost, I hate it when someone covets my playthings." Xu Shaocong's lips curled, and the four men behind him rushed at Summer.

Although it was the school's mock exam period, there were still many people around watching.

They all kept their distance, and many knew Xu Shaocong, who was a well-known figure at Jianghai High School, and no one dared to provoke him.

These four men were the bullies of their respective classes, with many followers, but they all submitted to Xu Shaocong, whose family had a strong background.

Although Summer didn't want to cause trouble, he wasn't afraid of it. In the past, his physical condition was poor, but he never backed down. Even though he couldn't fight back, he always resisted.

The fat man in front threw a punch at Summer. At that moment, Summer remembered the move Mr. Fan used in the park that morning. He pulled with his right hand and kicked with his left foot, sending the fat man flying.

He flew five meters before landing hard on the ground, the impact of his weight and the concrete floor causing him significant pain.

"Blackie, damn it, you dare to hit our brother." The other three, also tough guys, were not intimidated by Summer and kicked at him together.

Seeing the three kick simultaneously, Summer moved closer instead of retreating. He swept their legs with his right leg and hit their chests with his fists. Everything happened so fast that no one could react.

Even Fire Pepper and her two followers, who were watching, were stunned.

"Fire Sister, did I see that right? That good student is so good at fighting."

"Blackie and the others are known for their ruthless attacks, but they were taken down so quickly by him."

"Even not wearing a bra." Summer's X-ray vision penetrated Fire Pepper's clothes, revealing a small strapless bra.
