Chapter 19

Tim, are you okay!? Look, jump in! If you want to bury your face, it should be in me, not in the blanket—

“I’m fine! I’m calming down…”

After writhing in embarrassment for a few minutes, I managed to get up from the bed.

I’ve created the worst black history.

At the very least, I didn’t want Lady Gylne to see me in that outfit.

And to think that was how we met…

I’m sure I’ll keep recalling this incident and burying my face in my pillow.

I need to show Lady Gylne my manly side someday and make up for this.

“Thank you, Lady Gylne, for telling me about the guild. If that’s what you want, I don’t need to be driven by revenge.”

“Yeah. Let’s slowly become great adventurers together and, while we’re at it, show those guild members a thing or two.”

“Yes! Then, shall we start at noon?”

“Sure. But until then…”

Lady Gylne started fidgeting, pressing her index fingers together in front of her face.

She probably wants to ask me something again.

“Tim… Well, since you’ve cleaned my clothes. I’m sorry, but…”

“Yes! What is it?”

“Can you make me some new clothes?”

“Me, make Lady Gylne’s clothes!? Is that okay?”

“Of course! I’ll even beg if I have to!”

Indeed, the clothes Lady Gylne is wearing now aren’t suitable for adventuring.

The ribbon at the chest and the white, very beautiful dress are characteristic.

It’s probably because we were only planning to take on a simple quest to gather herbs.

The dress suits Lady Gylne and is very beautiful, but it might not be suitable for adventuring.

“I understand. Then, I will take the liberty of making some adventure clothes for Lady Gylne.”

“Great! Then, let’s start by measuring my body! I, I’ll take off my jacket now—”

“No, I can tell the size just by looking at your clothes, so it’s fine!”

“Oh, I see… Tim’s skill is amazing…”

Lady Gylne, looking somewhat disappointed, lowered her hand from the buttons of her dress.

I activated my "Measurement" skill to measure the size visually.

Now, I just need to use my "Tailoring" skill to make the clothes.

It’s about an hour until noon, and I want to be meticulous, but I can’t take too much time.

“…Lady Gylne, can I have about 30 minutes to finish?”

“Sure! Can I watch?”

“Of course!”

I set a reasonable time and started sewing with my "Tailoring" skill, taking out fabric, needles, and thread.

I made the clothes so Lady Gylne could move easily and be durable.

Since Lady Gylne is more than beautiful enough, a simple design should be fine.

I put my heart into making them.

“…I’m done!”

“Oh! This time, I could just barely see your hands, unlike when you were cooking! I had no idea what you were doing!”

Thirty minutes later, I had made a set of clothes for Lady Gylne.

The color scheme matched Lady Gylne’s hair, and the mantle below the waist emphasized a dignified atmosphere.

The chest area was open to avoid discomfort, but the fabric covered up to the neck.

I made it a mini skirt and knee-high socks for ease of movement, but my clothes should protect the exposed skin.

Lady Gylne clapped for me as she looked at the completed clothes.

“These… You made these for me…”

“My humble work, but I’m glad if you’re satisfied!”

“Wow! Did you make these for 1,000 adventurers?”

“No! I couldn’t spend 30 minutes on each one, so I actually gave them clothes in a 'mock-up' state. That way, I could make them quickly.”

“What happens with 'mock-up' clothes?”

“They fall apart and break after a day. The adventurers took on various quests every day, so I looked at the quest list and made them new clothes every morning that suited their quests!”

Lady Gylne nodded in deep agreement with my explanation.

Then, she happily held up the clothes I made.

“So, Tim spent more time making my clothes than usual! I’m happy!”

“Yes! I wanted to give you the best I could… though it’s still within my capabilities.”

“Can I take a closer look at these clothes?”

“Yes, it’s a bit embarrassing, but of course, you can wear other clothes you bought without worrying about my feelings!”

“Tim, have a little more confidence. Then, let me use 'Appraisal'.”

Lady Gylne started using her Appraisal skill to examine the clothes I made.

She began to mutter one by one.

“Equipment name: 'Adventurer’s Clothes', Gylne Reize’s exclusive equipment, +++, +++, significant speed bonus, slight charm bonus, additional: no degradation, no contamination, all-cover (resistance effects apply to the entire body)… Yeah, that’s enough. It’s a very powerful piece of equipment.”

I scratched my head, blushing, at Lady Gylne’s expected flattery.

“Ahaha, Lady Gylne, I’m not depressed, so you don’t need to flatter me so much.”

Unfortunately, I don’t have much knowledge about equipment, so I don’t fully understand the appraisal results Lady Gylne muttered.

Still, it’s always nice to be praised by Lady Gylne.

Maybe I’m a bit girly…

“When I was disguised and watching the guild’s adventurers, I used this 'Appraisal'. I could see that the clothes you made for the adventurers fighting the fire-breathing dragon had 'fire resistance', and the clothes for those hunting the poison toad had 'poison resistance'. I realized you were praying for the success of each adventurer’s quest by making their clothes.”

“Lady Gylne…!”

I felt saved by Lady Gylne’s words.

She saw my efforts.

How could I be any happier?

“That’s all I can do…”

“But that’s something only Tim can do. The guild members who couldn’t use 'Appraisal' were proud of completing their quests with their own strength… No, they probably never even thought to appraise the clothes.”

My voice trembled with joy.

I almost started crying.

No, I need to be manly.

No matter how happy I am, I can’t cry.

As I struggled to be manly, Lady Gylne muttered.

“Still… Hmm. The equipment made by Tim’s 'mock-up' only lasts a day. From today, the guild members will go on quests without Tim’s equipment or meals…”

Lady Gylne looked a little sad as she gazed out the window.

“That guild might not last a week…”
