Chapter 34

"Here is the workroom Grandma used to use, nya."

I looked around the room and exclaimed, "Oh!"

The underground room, about ten tatami mats in size, which Torte and Tarte had shown me, was fully equipped with alchemical tools. The quality was the best that could be bought in stores during the game era.

"With all this, it should be no problem to make the <Potion>."

When I said that, everyone's faces lit up. They are so cute, damn it.

The item we are going to make is the highest-level healing potion, the <Shooting Star Potion>. To put it simply, it can revive dead players. It's a super important item, but only <Alchemists> can make it. That's why there were so many <Alchemists> among the players. The reason I thought I might be able to cure Tarte's illness with the <Shooting Star Potion> is that it can also heal all status abnormalities. Essentially, it provides the same effect as recovering once you have died and all buffs and debuffs are gone. It's a bit wasteful, but it's worth a try.

"I'll do my best, nya!"

"Okay, let's get it done quickly and get you back on your feet! Just to confirm, are you feeling okay right now?"

"Yes, nya."

"That's good."

It would be terrible if she collapsed from exhaustion during the process. However, I want her to use her skills in the most comfortable state possible, so I brought a chair from the corner of the room and asked Tarte to sit down.

"Don't push yourself until you feel better. Just sit until I'm ready."

"I want to help, but I can't be a burden, nya. I understand, nya."

Tarte nodded, a good girl. Torte seemed to be watching over Tarte from beside her.

Meanwhile, Frey and Luna were the most enthusiastic. Luna seemed particularly interested.

"So, what do I need to do!?"

"Or rather, what are we going to mix?"

"What Tarte is going to make is the <Shooting Star Potion>."

"‘<Shooting Star Potion>!?’"

At my words, everyone's voices rose. They were wide-eyed with surprise.

"Wait, the <Shooting Star Potion> is a potion that rarely appears on the market! You can... make it!?"

"Um, ah, well, yes! By chance! I just happened to hear how to make it!"

Come to think of it, I had only seen the <Shooting Star Potion> in the game! I didn't expect them to be so surprised.

I laughed, "We don't have time to waste, so let's get the materials ready."

"First, we need the <Dew of Paradise>. This is the base herb. Next, we need one each of <Magic Herb>, <Flame Flower>, <Earth Flower>, <Wind Flower>, <Water Flower>, and one <Empty Potion Bottle>, and three <Holy Waters>..."

I paused. I don't have any <Holy Waters>! I used them all up fighting the <Wraith of Elngoa> and making the <Skill Reset Potion>. In the game, I had a huge stock of <Holy Waters>, so I never really paid attention to the quantity. What a mistake.

I looked at Torte, who manages the items, with a glimmer of hope.

"We have them all, nya. Good, we can cure Tarte's illness, nya."

Torte sighed in relief and took the materials out of her backpack. Everything I mentioned was there. She really is the <Helper> of the hero party. She's excellent. I want to see everything in Torte's backpack.

"Let's start making the <Potion>. Tarte, come here."

"Yes, nya!"

When I called Tarte, her ears perked up, looking nervous.

"It's okay, relax, relax. I'll guide you through the steps."

"Thank you, nya."

The tools we need are the <Advanced Mixing Cauldron>, <High-Quality Firewood>, and the <Ludia's Young Shoot Stirring Rod>. I prepared a workbench for the short Tarte, and she peered into the mixing cauldron.

"Wow! I've only ever seen Grandma use it, so it feels strange, nya."

"Since you've seen Grandma do it, it should be easier to imagine."

I explained carefully, "Let's start with the <Magic Herb>. We add the materials in order of their rarity."

"Add the materials, stir, and when it glows, add the next material and stir again. It's a bit challenging, but let's do our best."

"Yes, nya!"

"Great answer!"

So, with a "Let's cook!" spirit, we started the mixing process. After adding the <Magic Herb> and it glowed, we added the <Holy Water>, followed by the four elemental flowers. Of course, we added the <Empty Potion Bottle> and finally the <Dew of Paradise>. Then, smoke started to rise.

"Wh-what!?"

Tarte's tail stood up in surprise. I held back a laugh and asked her not to stop stirring.

"It's done when it glows."

"Y-Yes, nya!"

Tarte nodded and stirred hard. Soon, a bright light filled the cauldron, and the <Shooting Star Potion> was complete.

...Yeah. It's still strange to see it appear in the bottle.

Thank you for pointing out the typos, missing "nya," and setting errors (levels, skills, etc.). I'm so clumsy I want to cry \(^o^)/

I will standardize the terms:

- Alchemist → Potion Making

- Pharmacist → Mixing

I will gradually make the corrections.

Thank you for your continued support.
