(Maybe, if I do nothing, I’ll die…)

Right now, Amaryllis is in prison after pushing a person named Sharon down the stairs.

(This is hopeless, isn’t it?)

Just as I remembered that I might die, what can I actually do right now?

(What should I do in this prison…?)

After pondering for a while, there was something I really wanted to address.

"……It’s uncomfortable"

This is about the abdomen being tightly bound by the corset.

I’m wearing a high-end dress that I probably won’t see again in my life, but in a prison cell, its shine serves no purpose.

(Should I take it off…?)

Amaryllis reached back to take off the dress, but the laces on the back were tangled, and she couldn’t untie them properly.

The more she tried to untangle them, the more they got knotted. She was flustered when suddenly—

"…I’ve brought your meal."

A knight carrying a sword on his hip appeared with a tray of food.

His face was stern, and he seemed to be on guard.

However, I couldn’t afford to be hurt by such a gaze.

The tightness of the corset was more painful.

(My organs feel like they’re about to burst out…)

Seeing the food placed on the tray, Amaryllis tried to stop the knight who was about to leave immediately.

"Hey…!"

"…What is it?"

"I want to take off this dress. Could you help me?"

"…What!?"

The knight stared at her in shock.

"In this state, I can’t even eat, let alone sleep… Please, Sir Knight."

No matter how many times she reached back, she couldn’t untie the complicated laces of the dress on her own.

It was impossible to maintain the position for a long time.

With a pleading look, she gazed at the knight in front of her, trying hard not to gag from the pressure on her abdomen.

(Ah, I just want to take it off as soon as possible. My head hurts…!)

"Ah…"

She felt dizzy, swaying on the spot.

Perhaps it was due to lying in this state for so long.

The pain seemed to be increasing.

"…Are you alright?"

"As you can see, I’m not at all alright."

"…"

"Thank you for the meal. I was really hungry, so this is a great help."

Amaryllis smiled, and the knight blushed.

Her face, however, was turning blue from the tightness of the corset.

"…I’ll go fetch a maid from the castle."

"Really…!?"

"Y-Yes!"

"Thank you…! Sir Knight"

"!!"

It seemed that a male knight couldn’t help her take off the dress.

Wiping the cold sweat from the pressure, she watched as the knight, looking confused, hurried out of the dungeon.

Although it was too late, the words that came out of Amaryllis’s mouth automatically turned into ladylike speech.

The words in her head and the words that came out of her mouth were different, which felt strange even to her.

—About thirty minutes must have passed.

(…The maid isn’t coming)

No matter how much she waited with hope, the knight didn’t reappear in front of the cell.

Perhaps it was because Amaryllis was disliked.

She caught a glimpse of the tray of food the knight had left.

It smelled good, but it was a hard-looking bread and a stir-fry of vegetable scraps.

There was also a fish she had never seen before, covered in a thin, yellowish sauce.

Under normal circumstances, she might have said, "What is this…?" but perhaps it was a blessing to have food brought to her without doing anything.

Even so, the tightness in her body didn’t go away.

It seemed that happiness didn’t come for free.

(Gurgle…)
