"Fiona!?"
I shouted as I jumped up.
"Oh, that...?"
Until now, it seemed like a memory I had seen in a dream. It appeared that after hitting my head on the ground, I had lost consciousness and was now lying on my bed in my room.
I stood up and, with unsteady steps, walked to the full-length mirror.
"No, no, no..."
I stared at my reflection in the mirror, my body trembling. The distinctive long, straight, sky-blue hair. The large, violet eyes that reminded me of violets. The long eyelashes and the high, straight nose. At 17, I had the charm of a girl on the cusp of womanhood. Undoubtedly a beautiful girl, but with a somewhat mischievous look. And I recognized this appearance.
There, in the mirror, was indeed the Fiona Elyor from the game.
I trembled and shouted.
"Yay!"
I jumped up in joy. There was no doubt that I was Fiona. No doubt at all.
"Now..."
I couldn't suppress the grin on my face.
"I can live a relaxed life in this life!"
Fiona was indeed the villainess, but she was a wealthy marchioness. Her parents and brother doted on her as the only girl in the family.
Just look at this room. It was spacious and well-lit. The custom-made furniture was designed for a girl. The closet, which was almost another room, was filled with dresses and jewels that were too numerous to count.
Not only that, but despite the fact that noble parents often leave their children to nannies, my mother always slept with me, my father made an effort to join us at the dinner table, and my brother always played with me.
It was clear that I was loved by my family. What a wonderful, loving family.
"If I say I want to break off the engagement and live a relaxed life at home, I can't imagine them disagreeing."
Breaking off the engagement was a matter between the two families, so I couldn't do it on my own right away. But if things went as they did in the game, I would be the one to break off the engagement. Given the family's attitude, I should be able to live a relaxed life after the engagement is broken. And the timing of my memory recovery was perfect.
"I haven't even started being the villainess yet!"
That's right, I hadn't even met the heroine or bullied her. And the fiancé, who was the cause of Fiona becoming the villainess, had been on bad terms with me since childhood. We had just been shouting at each other, and now that I had my memories back, I had no attachment to him. If the heroine wanted to be with him, I wouldn't stand in her way; I would even bless them wholeheartedly.
"In other words, I should be able to avoid the condemnation!"
I recalled my memories from my previous life.
I had somehow overcome the employment ice age and found a job, but it was a super-black company. Overtime was the norm, and so was staying overnight. Despite this, the pay was miserably low. While my colleagues were losing their minds, I was also losing my mind, living day by day.
Honestly, I don't remember much about my working days. I only remember somehow going to the office.
Did I die from overwork? My last memory was of another colleague not showing up for work, and I was working busily to make up for it. When I finally got home, I shouted, "I can't take it anymore!" and drank a beer.
What did I do after drinking the beer? Did I die? Did I die from drinking the beer? If so, would it not be considered overwork? If that's the case, the company would be unscathed. That would be frustrating! If I was going to die, I wanted to get back at them!
But all of that was from my previous life.
Now, I am the super-beautiful, wealthy Fiona.
"In this life, I'm going to enjoy a luxurious, slow-paced life!"
I danced with joy. The hardships of my previous life must have been for this life!
I skipped around happily, but then I reconsidered.
"Ugh..."
I knelt down on the spot.
"This body is too weak!"
Just a little dancing made my heart race and my body tremble. What a lack of stamina! I panted heavily and wiped the sweat from my forehead.
—Yes, I was born with a weak body.
"There was no such setting in the game!"
I was sure of this because I had played the game many times. There was no mention of Fiona being weak in the game, nor were there any scenes that suggested it. Fiona was just a villainess with a bad temper who would quickly become angry and shout.
"Damn it..."
I gritted my teeth, feeling sick. Although it wasn't explicitly stated in the game, if the game's Fiona was in the same situation as me, I could understand why she had such a bad temper.
"Given this poor health, she must have lashed out at everyone around her...!"
Anyone who has been sick knows this. The difficulty of acting normally when you're unwell, the growing frustration, and the unfairness of even the sound of someone talking causing a headache. Honestly, just walking was a struggle, and the reason I had argued with my fiancé before my memories returned was because he had said I was walking too slowly.
Can I walk any faster with this condition?
My anger had exploded.
"Too dangerous. If I continued like that, I would have become the same villainess Fiona from the game."
I was constantly in poor health and irritable every day. However, I had no intention of becoming the same villainess Fiona. I didn't want to be condemned. In this life, I wanted to live a relaxed and comfortable life, as a wealthy noble marchioness.
Aim for living off my parents!
However, if I didn't do something about this poor health, even a slow-paced life would be a dream within a dream. I made a decision.
"I will become healthy!"
