Chapter 6

"Ugh, I’m going to die…"

In the midst of a beautiful clear sky with the dry, cold wind blowing, I was in the ballroom used by the mansion’s knights, wearing my sports clothes, and I was completely exhausted.

At first, I was running properly. Yes, for about the first minute.

“I underestimated my frailty…”

I didn’t have the stamina to run at all. I could barely walk.

“Thinking back, I hadn’t been moving my body much, just going back and forth between my room and the dining room.”

I’ve always been frail. And I had been bedridden for three days.

My family was worried, and when I said I wanted to exercise, they told me to "rest for a while!" and wouldn’t let me exercise.

And so, I was overly protected by my family for a week.

I finally decided it was time to start moving, so I put on my sports clothes and tried to run...

“I feel like I’m going to die... No, I’m doing this so I don’t die…”

It’s so painful that I want to stop, but I can’t. This is for my health.

The body doesn’t become healthy with food alone. It’s also very important to move your body.

Not only does it build muscle, but it also helps prevent blood clots.

“I can’t... I can’t... I need a break...”

My legs won’t move anymore.

I decided to rest in the shade of a tree.

“Anne”

“Yes, my lady?”

“Quick!”

When I called Anne while sitting down by a large tree, she appeared right beside me. She had been a little distance away while I was running—or rather, walking—so when did she get so close?

“Bring that out.”

“As you wish.”

Anne smoothly handed me a glass of drink.

When I took the glass, I could feel that the contents were well-chilled through the glass.

I brought it to my mouth and drank it down.

It had a faintly sweet but not cloying taste, with a refreshing lemon flavor that invigorated my exhausted body. The water seeped into my body, which had been dried out from sweating.

This is a homemade sports drink.

The recipe is very simple.

To make 1L of sports drink, you need 1L of water, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 4 tablespoons of honey.

First, mix all the ingredients except water in a bowl, then add the water and mix. That’s it, your homemade sports drink is ready!

This effectively replenishes the minerals and water lost through sweating. If you don’t have honey, you can use 6 tablespoons of sugar as a substitute. This means you can make it with things you have at home.

It’s convenient to remember the recipe because it’s easy to make, but it’s too high in sugar to drink regularly. It’s best to drink it only after exercise or when you’re dehydrated. Drinking it like tea could be bad for your health, so be careful.

By the way, you can make it without lemon juice, but it tastes better with it, and it also provides citric acid and potassium, so I recommend adding it.

I really want to have honey lemon, but my stomach is weak, so I’m avoiding citrus fruits with acidic components for now. I have to settle for the sports drink. The sports drink does use lemon juice, but in such a small amount, it’s not a problem for my stomach.

“I wish my stomach would get better soon so I can have honey lemon…”

It’s so delicious after exercise. Oh, I want to bite into a lemon soaked in honey...

“My lady, I apologize for interrupting your rest.”

“Ah!”

I thought Anne had left after giving me the glass, but she suddenly returned.

Anne, your speed is too good to be a maid... It’s as fast as a Japanese ninja...

“My lady, you have a visitor.”

“A visitor...?”

Who could it be? To be honest, I’m not well-liked, so people rarely visit me.

“It’s the number one person I don’t want you to meet, but considering your relationship, I can’t turn them away... It’s frustrating. Should I eliminate them in the dark?”

“Anne, Anne, no assassination plans, please.”

I don’t know who it is, but I can’t have my precious maid commit a crime. Anne seemed to come back to her senses with my words and returned to her usual tone.

“I apologize. The most detestable and burnable fiancé is here.”

So, Anne really hates him.

“Fiancé...”

My fiancé is the target of the game I’m in.

Yes, the person I was fighting with before I regained my memory.

“How long do you plan to keep me waiting?”

A handsome young man appeared, looking displeased.

His beautiful silver hair, reflecting the sunlight, was blown by the wind, and his clear blue eyes, like the sea, glared at me. Although his brows were furrowed now, if he were to give a gentle smile, anyone would fall in love with his beauty.

Louis Hunt.

The target of this game, the person who triggers my condemnation as the villainous lady.
