Being the protagonist’s father for the first time (2) [Revised]- What did Si Yang say that made him feel particularly touching?
Based on Si Yang’s abilities, he can naturally forge the Yu family into an iron plate so that even if he dies, it could still continue to stand firmly for a hundred years. Then, he can let Yu Zhen, the rightful heir, to live the rest of his life happily like a little princess.
But Si Yang had never been so kind as to be a Messiah. If you wanted to survive, you need to do it by yourself.
————
It took four hours to drive from the capital to Yanjing. Yu Zheng had been full of excitement thinking that he would get to spend time alone with Si Yang. He absolutely never expected that Si Yang would only send him to the car and leave.
“Isn’t Si Yang-ge coming along?” Yu Zheng boldly but the steward who was driving promptly stopped him.
“Eldest young master still has something to do. He’s very busy with work so young master will go back with me first.”
“Okay.” Yu Zheng nodded obediently but his eyes couldn’t help but follow Si Yang who was already quite far away.
Si Yang, on his end, was talking to his secretary.
Unlike the swift and decisive momentum of those people in power, Si Yang gave off an aura of a pampered young master which was totally different from the temperament of an elite.
Even if he was reprimanding or scolding, the slight tic in Si Yang’s tongue would somehow add unspeakable hints of affection. The tic tickled people but they also understood that this bastard thing in front of them, absolutely didn’t have the slightest care for them.
Just like the way he came inside the house and swept him a cursory glance just now, he never had any anticipation/excitement for himself.
That thought suddenly flashed through Yu Zheng’s mind but was soon suppressed.
Impossible. If Si Yang didn’t value him, then why did he look for him for so many years and even took so much trouble to personally pick him up?
After all, just as the steward had said, Si Yang was very busy.
Yu Zheng decisively thought, finally suppressing the fears in his heart. He tried his best to maintain a calm expression and left for the old Yu residence together with the steward.
When he returned, he didn’t see Si Yang for a full three days.
But it wasn’t that Si Yang had intentionally left him there and gave him the cold shoulder. He indeed wanted to teach Yu Zheng to survive using an unconventional method, but in order to defend against outsiders, internal affairs must be settled first. The original body had left too many loopholes and now the Yu Group could practically have ‘about to go bankrupt’ written on it in four bold letters.
Moreover, regardless of the deadweight messy projects that tend to continuously use a never-ending stream of money, just merely looking at the countless moles placed inside, would right away tell that the original body had completely managed a good company into a sieve covered with holes.
Thus, Si Yang had just barely settled in Yu Zheng before turning back to handle the Yu Group’s pressing matters until the sky was dark. After all, supporting the Yu clan was also one of Si Yang’s missions. He naturally can’t just sit and watch the Yu clan’s demise.
As for Yu Zheng who had just returned home, he was like a helpless chick that Si Yang had spoken of. Even though he was the young master of a rich and powerful family, he grew up by the mountainside and had never enjoyed the luxury and pleasures brought about by money and power.
So, for him the old Yu residence was more magnificent than the imperial palace.
Unfortunately, Yu Zheng who was now living in the imperial palace, wasn’t only not high-born but also couldn’t even completely recognize all of the Chinese characters. Even when facing the old residence’s maid that was in charge of cleaning and waiting, he was ashamed of his own inferiority.
Amidst all the unfamiliarity, the only one who can put Yu Zheng’s mind slightly at ease was Si Yang. Although they had only met once, he firmly believed that his older brother who had found him definitely liked him.
The three-day separation not only did not extinguish his longing for Si Yang, but also increased the countless fantasies he had imagined due to the sense of distance.

He didn’t even realize that his parents, who still hadn’t appeared, never contacted him.
“Young master! It’s time for afternoon tea.” The old steward showed up on schedule and led Yu Zheng to sit by the courtyard window.
Yu Zheng uncomfortably looked at the pile of unfamiliar tableware and food before him. His longing for Si Yang deepened even more.
He raised his head and asked the steward, “When is Si Yang-ge coming back?”
He was set aside by Si Yang since he came back. Even when they had met, it was only for a few minutes and only a few words were exchanged. Despite being continuously reassured by the people around him that Si Yang cared about him, Yu Zheng was still worried because he hadn’t seen the person himself.
The old steward was silent for a moment before he handed a phone over to Yu Zheng as per Si Yang’s previous instruction. The phone was brand new and there was only one number saved in the contacts, Si Yang.
Yu Zheng immediately smiled. Sure enough, Si Yang did care about him. So much that he even thought of such trivial details for him. In the future, he would also treat Si Yang well so that he can repay Si Yang’s love for him.
Yu Zheng recited the number several times to himself, wanting to imprint it in his heart.
