Huang Shuqi stepped out into the outer room, wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve, and a stain appeared on the white sleeve. This white shirt was newly bought by his wife yesterday. Upon hearing that he had been promoted and became the first secretary of the provincial party committee, his wife, who was usually frugal, immediately bought him a whole new set of clothes—new shirt, new pants, new shoes, even new underwear and socks. If something went wrong on the first day and he lost his position, how could he explain it to his wife?
Huang Shuqi did not dare to be negligent and immediately flipped through the address book left by his predecessor. There was only one phone number for South University, which was the office of the president. After finding it, he dialed the number right away.
Based on Huang Shuqi's guess, the person the provincial party secretary was looking for was either the president of South University or a famous professor, someone well-known to everyone. Therefore, he immediately asked for Li Yi when he spoke.
Unfortunately, the elated Huang Shuqi encountered a dejected Xu Shaonong. Xu Shaonong's retort left Huang Shuqi depressed for a long time.
He did not dare to delay, immediately got up, knocked on the door of the inner room, and, after receiving a response, cautiously pushed the door open.
"Secretary Wen, I just made a call, and they said there is no such person," Huang Shuqi said, somewhat uneasy.
"What?" Wen Yuxi indeed stopped writing, raised his head, and stared at him.
Huang Shuqi immediately broke out in a cold sweat: "I called the president's office at South University. The person who answered the phone claimed to be Vice President Xu Shaonong, and he said there is no such person."

By the time Wen Yuxi and his group walked from the parking lot to the office building, the school leaders, led by Vice President Xu Shaonong, hurriedly came to greet them.

"Hello! Hello! Secretary Wen! Why didn't you call ahead? I could have made the necessary preparations," Xu Shaonong said with a flushed face, forcing his hand into Wen Yuxi's.
Wen Yuxi shook his hand out of politeness and coldly said, "I did call! I'm not here to see you today. I'm not here to discuss work. I need to find a student in the Chinese Department's senior year, named Li Yi. Can you call him for me?"
Xu Shaonong broke out in a cold sweat. It turned out that the person who called was really Secretary Wen of the provincial party committee. But why was he looking for Li Yi? He hadn't heard of Li Yi having any background. Usually, students with connections would introduce themselves to the school leaders and ask for their care. Wen Yuxi turned away from him and asked the other leaders, "Does anyone know Li Yi, a senior in the Chinese Department?"
Wang Haibo, who was at the back, originally just wanted to watch the commotion and see the demeanor of a high official. Upon hearing this, he loudly said, "I know! Li Yi is my student."
Wen Yuxi smiled and said, "Then could you please lead me to him? Thank you."
