A Whole New World
“Bahahahahaha!”
Bursting of big laughter somewhere got me half-opening my eyes. Bright rays of sunshine fell into my eyelids. Blocking the sun rays with my hand, I got my head up and started looking around.
Hearing a babel of voices, I could see glimpses of tens of people. Men, women….it didn’t take me too long to realise that their hair had all different colours and I was standing right in front of them.
As long as I knew, Koreans all have black hair naturally…right?
It also didn’t take me that long to realise that every single one of them was just so fabulous in their appearances. Even though it seemed like there was a variety of age among the gathered people, every single one of them standing there was just so beautiful. I mean like way more than Holly wood movie stars beautiful. It was almost as if their faces are laminating by themselves.
I still had no clue what was going on.
‘Am I dreaming right now?’
I felt really dizzy. My stomach was churning.
Putting my hand over my forehead as if that was going to make me feel any better, I was trying my best to think back what really happened.
Well obviously, I was sitting in my classroom trying my best to pretend to study.
Then everything stopped as if the time had stopped, and even before I made sense of what was happening I felt like I was being sucked into somewhere, then I passed out.
Then, I woke up to this scenery.
‘So where the hell am I really?’ – I thought to myself.
There was a man standing right in front of me. Early 20s with blood red hair. I had no idea why, but he was all smiles.
On the other hand, another gold blonde man standing next to the red-haired guy, was frowning as if he was pissed at something.
Looking at me, they started having a conversation.
“Sunggongida. Ddogddoghi batji?”
“Ige jisungche ranun gun udduke alji?”
“Jamgan gidaryuba.”
Yep. I could not understand a single word they were saying.
I genuinely had no idea what kind of language they were speaking either.
As I was looking at them like a dumbass, the red haired guy walked up to me. Pointing his finger at me, He murmured,
“Language Transformation.”
“Wh….What?”
As those words came out of his mouth, I felt a chill along me spine.
‘What did he just do to me?’
I was thinking to myself when the red haired guy randomly threw me a question.
“Do you understand me?”
Not really bothered by the fact that I could understand what he was really saying, I replied,
“Well yea I think I can….”
The crowd seemed rather surprised that I understood what he said and replied to him in an understandable manner to them.
The smile on red haired guy’s face just got bigger.
“It indeed does seem like you can understand me. Can you recognise who I am?” – He said with smile on his face.
“I have no idea. Have we met before?”
“Nope. Never seen you before.”
“….”
Well, why the hell would you ask me then?
The red haired guy soon turned to face the blonde. Just like when I noticed them first, he again burst into laughter.
“Bahahah! What did you say to me before again, Kyrisis?”
“…..Damn it…” – The blonde murmured, frowning.
“You really keep going to tell me the Reds are all just muscles up into the brains? I think the Golds are actually dumber than the Reds.”
Getting teased by the red haired guy, the blonde, so called Kyrisis, talked back with a bigger frown on his face.
“…..It was just a fluke! Don’t act up already man!”
“Why do you keep saying that? Who told me luck is still a skill? Huh?” – The red haired replied.
“Damn it….”
“Come on man, get those frowns off your face! You gon’ get ugly wrinkles!”
The red haired was acting all friendly, but it seemed to make Kyrisis feel more uncomfortable.
“It’s about time I return.” – Kyrisis said, getting away from the red haired.
“What? Already? Come on man, let’s hang out for a little more!”
“Warp!”
Just when I noticed subtle waves of light coming out of the blonde’s body, he vanished into thin air.
“What? Did he just disappear into nothing?”
That was not the end. One by one, the crowd said good bye to the red haired and vanished like the blonde.
“Congratulations.”
“Finally, you’ve done it!”
“Didn’t really expect you to pull that off, Rayered.”
I simply could not believe what happened before my eyes in that few moments. I stood there blinking, wanting to believe I was just seeing things, but soon, there was only me and the red haired left there standing.
I asked, out of surprise and shock,
“Di…Did you just see that?”
“What?” – The red haired answered with a plain look on his face.
“People! They just vanished into nothing!”
“Yea…so what?”
“I mean…doesn’t that surprise you?”
“What’s there to be surprised about? Everyone does that everyday right?”
“…”
