“ Go Joon.”
His name was awkwardly coming out of Yeonhwa’s lips. And he felt embarrassed. His ears turned red and grabbed his hair while smiling shyly.
“’I have to go now.”
Yeonhwa held the canvas in her hand and waved.
“Are you going already?”
He wanted to talk to Yeonhwa a little more. It was the first time he had talked with someone so comfortably, and it was the first time someone recognized the value of his paintings. He was excited and happy. But now he had to wake up from the dream.
“I think my parents would be worried if I am gone for so long.”
Unfortunately, he had to let her go.
“Bye.”
The powerless voice of Go Joon made it difficult for Yeonhwa to leave.
“I’ll see you again.”
How? How can they meet again in this wide world? Even if they met for the first time by chance today, can the coincidence continue? Go, Joon wondered. Seeing his eyes full of disbelief, Yeonhwa smiled and said.
“Because I will make my dream come true.”
“…….”
“So Go Joon also has to become a great painter. Then I can see you again.”
Yeonhwa looked at the watch on her wrist and turned.
“I really have to go. Bye!”
Yeonhwa shook Go Joon’s arm strongly and passed through a narrow alley.
“Hey….”
Go Joon tried to call Yeonhwa, but the distance was already far away for the voice to reach.
“I didn’t ask for her name.”
Remembering Yeonhwa’s encouraging words, Go Joon stood up from his seat and held the bill tightly in his hand. With the remaining canvas, Go Joon walked out of the dark alley. The sun was so bright that he could not open his eyes.
“ I will be a famous painter.”
Go Joon decided he didn’t want to die today. He had a dream that must be fulfilled. He had a goal to live. It was the young girl who motivated his dreams. It was the girl’s encouragement that he was able to succeed as a painter in his life.
It’s been a week since he came back to Korea, and he met Yeonhwa dramatically. Go Joon pulled out the cell phone he had in his work clothes pocket. He wanted to visit Yeonhwa right away, but all he had was her husband’s phone number. Go Joon had hesitated for a long time, entered a message to be sent to Geonwoo.
*******
“Mr President, the meeting is ready.”
At the office, Geonwoo, who couldn’t concentrate on his work at all, stood up. Unlike usual, with an uncomfortable expression, Secretary Kim glanced at Geonwoo. After leaving the office, the two got into the elevator. Secretary Kim carefully spoke to Geonwoo.
”Mr President, What’s going on?”
Geonwoo got mad at my wife and missed the time to apologize. Now he doesn’t know when and how to relieve his wife’s anger. Geonwoo sighed and swept his hair up. Last night, when he opened the door and entered the room, he remembered that Yeonhwa was covered with a blanket from head to toes. He could’ apologize to Yeonhwa who didn’t want to talk and left the room. Geonwoo tried to talk this morning, but Yeonhwa didn’t get out of bed until late. No, she was awake, but it seemed that Yeonhwa didn’t want to meet him. “Haah.” With a sigh coming out again, Secretary Kim was restless.
“Mr President?”
“Nothing.”
Geonwoo, who didn’t want to tell the secretary Kim about his personal problem, said it in short. No matter how he looked at it, it seemed like something had happened, but Secretary Kim couldn’t ask more because Geonwoo said it was nothing. Secretary Kim got off the elevator first and pulled the door of the conference room. It was when Geonwoo reached the front of the conference room, the cell phone in Geonwoo’s pocket vibrated. Could it be Yeonhwa? Geonwoo’s hand took out his cell phone faster than the light. Contrary to expectations, the person who sent the message was a man who was in the emergency room with Yeonhwa.
[This is the person who caused the accident yesterday evening. I contacted you in the morning, but there was no answer, so l send you a message.]
Geonwoo still remembered the man’s eyes looking at his wife clearly like a picture. As much as possible, he was hoping that there would be no reunion between this man and Yeonhwa, so Geonwoo decided to contact the man this afternoon and tell him that he would not need to pay for repairs and treatment. But the man had contacted Geonwoo first. Geonwoo’s eyebrows gradually narrowed, but another message came up.
[You must be very busy. But I am curious about your wife’s condition. Is she doing okay ?]
Geonwoo’s frowned and his right eyebrow went up like a mountain.
“Why are you worried about my wife?”
