Just in time! I managed to update!!
The guild I work for is completely different from a commercial guild.
Roughly speaking, there are three well-known types: "guilds," "magic guilds," and "commercial guilds."
When you hear "guild," you probably think of the adventurer's guild from RPGs.
The "magic guild" is a derivative of the "guild," but it is more focused on the study of magic and is a gathering of researchers.
"Guilds" have branches in every city and town of the five allied countries and share information.
They do not exist in some closed-off countries or those that are enemies of the five allied countries.
The "commercial guild" is a union of people who provide support, including craftsmen, similar to the support classes in RPGs. The scale varies by country and region.
They are usually protected by the government to prevent the outflow of skilled workers and to ensure profits, but this also means they have strict regulations.
I don't want to work in a place with so many restrictions.
So, I decided to become a "guild officer," which allows for more freedom, including the ability to move between countries.
Even though this is my first job in my second life, I was a bit nervous, but I was hired easily and felt a bit let down.
In this world, which is less civilized compared to Earth, there are many things humans can do.
In my case, just mentioning that I have the "appraiser" skill was enough to get hired immediately.
People with the "appraiser" skill are often monopolized by the "commercial guild," so they are welcomed.
I immediately joined the item appraisal department after getting hired.
This department is responsible for accurately appraising the rarity of monster parts, magic items, gems, and crystals to determine rewards.
I worked in that department for about two years and helped train new employees.
Eventually, the branch chief found out about my past when I was staying at the castle. After some resistance, I was eventually persuaded to transfer to the front desk, which is where I am now.
Alex seems to have successfully hunted the Red Bear.
He came to report it yesterday, so I told him it was good to hear.
