Chapter 4: Unfairness
■■■■■■■■■■
I stand before the administrator, the only one who hasn't received a blessing and can't see the status.
From my observations, I've noticed that the administrator reacts unusually to ranks. I think that among the various items in the status, rank is the most important. It would be nice to get a 'B' rank.
"You're the last one... hmm?"
When the administrator touched the back of my left hand, she looked puzzled. I have a bad feeling about this. My hunches are usually right, and I don't need this kind of ability...
"That's strange. Why are you here?"
"Um, I don't understand what you mean."
I didn't come here by my own will, so I'm at a loss to hear this.
"Why is someone not on the list here?"
That's what I want to know too? This is definitely not good. I don't want this to happen, but it probably will.
The administrator activated a hologram and her eyes widened.
"…This child is still alive?"
Did I just hear something ominous? Am I still alive?
"That's strange! The children I brought should all be dead!"
She suddenly started to lose her composure. She's really emotionally unstable.
If I'm alive, is something wrong? Can't I just be sent back to the original world?
"I got permission to bring only the souls of the dead to FastCloud, but what will I be told if I bring a living person?"
She glared at me while muttering. I can hear everything clearly, you know.
That's why she's panicking.
"Ah, forget it!"
The hysterical administrator seems to be quite flustered.
"Alright, I'll dispose of you!"
Hey, Administrator!?
"If you do that, I don't think you can explain it to the gods of FastCloud. Why don't you apologize honestly?"
I tried to suggest a rational solution, but the administrator's eyes that glared at me were suspiciously wavering.
"How can I say that! Why should I, the administrator Tylia, have to bow my head again!? It's so annoying!"
What are you saying, just apologize, You! Seriously, it's your mistake, so apologize honestly!
"I've already decided! You are to be disposed of!"
Of course, that's the flow. Why am I always like this? What have I done?
"Thanks to you, I have to cross a dangerous bridge! You scum!"
Tylia is the one with a much worse mindset! I'm clearly the victim!
"Ha ha ha ha. You scum! You're to be disposed of!"
Ishidogu laughed stupidly, holding his stomach. The other classmates also looked at me with disdain. I wonder what kind of faces they would make if they were in my position.
I always keep a blank expression, suppressing feelings of anxiety and fear. That's how I've survived.
You guys have never had such an experience, right? It's enough to drive you crazy. You should experience that fear too.
"That's not right! If he's still alive, please send Ishidogu back to the original world!"
Only Katsuragi Mirei stood up for me and stood in front of me. At that moment, Tylia's figure disappeared, and she punched Katsuragi Mirei in the stomach.
"Ugh..."
Katsuragi Mirei lost consciousness and fell to the ground. What the hell is she doing!?
"You're the worst. You brought me here for your convenience and now you want to dispose of me because it's inconvenient!?"
I'm just a victim who was brought here while alive! If you admit your mistake and send me back to Earth, that would be fine, so why dispose of me!?
"Huh? You're being cheeky, aren't you?"
"Cheeky? What are you saying, you brought me here while I was alive?"
"Who's the fool!?"
I pointed at Tylia.
"You, scum. Attacking Katsuragi, who was protecting me, is outrageous! Seeing someone like you makes me want to vomit!"
I let it all out. This is only a fraction of what I've been feeling inside. However, I've gotten used to keeping my mouth shut, so I can't express it well.
"Well said! Don't take back what you've said! Be prepared!"
A blinding light emitted from Tylia and enveloped me.
"You're the worst scum! You deserve divine punishment!"
"Ha ha ha ha! We are the gods! This scum!"
Tylia's words were the last thing I heard before I lost consciousness.
