Completely unprepared, Jia Pei only felt her lips being touched by two soft things.

By the time she reacted, Cao Shuo had already finished kissing her.

As a young lady, when had Jia Pei ever been kissed by a man like this?

She felt her heart thumping like a little rabbit, beating wildly.

"That's enough," Cao Shuo said, "I've already shared a bed with you and kissed you. If you dare to call for help after I leave and they catch me, I will definitely confess these two things."

"I wanted to help you, and you still take such liberties," Jia Pei said through gritted teeth. "I really regret not having someone kill you just now!"

Cao Shuo crawled out of the bed, chuckled, and said, "It's too late to regret. Just accept your fate."

Before leaving, Cao Shuo didn't forget to say to Jia Pei, "Take care of yourself, and wait for me to come back and marry you!"

Cao Shuo left, and Jia Pei was still sitting there in a daze.

Touching the lips that Cao Shuo had kissed, Jia Pei felt a surge of anger.

This man was too cunning and too disrespectful...

But he didn't seem at all as weak and useless as the rumors suggested.

Had everyone misjudged him, or was he just hiding too deeply?

Jia Pei couldn't help but feel puzzled.

She wanted to call the guards and tell them about Cao Shuo's whereabouts, but a voice deep inside her was stopping her.

Cao Shuo's life or death had no direct relation to whether Cao Cao could escape by chance.

Calling the guards might not even catch him, and it would completely offend him. It would be better to be a good person and gain a bit more hope for her and her father's future.

But Cao Shuo was just too despicable and disrespectful...

The warmth of Cao Shuo's kiss still lingered on her lips, and Jia Pei's cheeks instantly turned red again.

Jia Pei's room was very warm.

When he left, the cold wind that blew in his face made Cao Shuo shiver.

He looked around, made sure no one was nearby, and once again crawled into the bushes.

As he moved through the bushes, Cao Shuo was extremely cautious with every step.

The shrubs in the bushes were very low, and a slight touch could make the branches make a fatal sound.

As he was walking, Cao Shuo heard the "crunch" of footsteps on the snow ahead.

He quickly crouched down.

Looking out of the bushes, he saw a group of Zhang Xiu's soldiers escorting two people.

As they got closer, even though the light was dim, Cao Shuo could still see that the two people were the guards who had warned him to leave earlier.

Seeing the two guards captured, Cao Shuo frowned.

If it weren't for their warning, he would have been harmed long ago.

Leaving them behind to escape alone was clearly not very righteous.

But going to save them now would be too dangerous.

Staring at the group of Zhang Xiu's soldiers without blinking, Cao Shuo roughly counted their numbers.

Twelve people.

If he were in his previous life, he might have dared to fight.

But his current small body was too weak.

Without a strong body, no matter how strong his soul was, he couldn't possibly fight twelve well-trained enemy soldiers alone.

The Zhang Xiu's soldiers escorting the two guards walked past, and Cao Shuo had a sudden idea.

He quietly crawled out of the bushes and quickly chased after the group.

Hearing the footsteps behind them, the twelve Zhang Xiu's soldiers all turned around.

"Found Cao Shuo!" When he was close, Cao Shuo pretended to be out of breath and pointed east, saying, "He's by the eastern wall, planning to escape."

"Since you found him, why didn't you catch him?" the leader of the Zhang Xiu's soldiers asked.

"We were too few," Cao Shuo said. "Although we found him, we couldn't catch him."

"I heard Cao Shuo is very weak," the officer said. "How could you not catch him with a few people?"

"If he were really weak, could he have killed the guards and escaped?" Cao Shuo countered.

The officer was taken aback by his question and said to the soldiers, "Go with him and check it out."

The officer took two soldiers to guard the captured guards and ordered the other nine to follow Cao Shuo to the eastern wall.

When Cao Shuo arrived, the two captured guards had already recognized him.

They were quite surprised and almost shouted for Cao Shuo to run.

But they weren't foolish; they knew that such a shout would mean certain death for Cao Shuo.

Watching him run away, the two guards felt anxious.

Their anxiety was written all over their faces, and the officer instantly believed that Cao Shuo had been telling the truth.

Otherwise, what were the two guards worried about?

Leading the nine Zhang Xiu's soldiers to the wall, one of them asked Cao Shuo, "Where is he?"

Cao Shuo touched the wall and secretly used some force to leave a mark that looked like someone had climbed over it.

"He must have climbed over the wall," he shouted to the Zhang Xiu's soldiers. "Let's hurry and catch up, don't let him get away!"

As he spoke, he pretended to climb the wall.

But after two attempts, he couldn't make it up.

"Idiot!" one of the Zhang Xiu's soldiers cursed, grabbed his shoulder, and pushed him back.

Stumbling a few steps, Cao Shuo pretended to lose his balance and sat down on the ground.

The nine Zhang Xiu's soldiers climbed over the wall in front of him and chased after the supposed "Cao Shuo."

Having tricked them away, Cao Shuo didn't think he had much time.

Once they reached the other side of the wall, they wouldn't find him and would come back.

He had to eliminate the remaining three as quickly as possible.

He got up and ran quickly to where the two guards were being held, still thinking about how to trick the three Zhang Xiu's soldiers and eliminate them one by one.

As he was about to reach the spot, Cao Shuo saw a figure turn the corner.

He quickly crouched down and observed the person under the cover of the night.

The person reached the corner, looked around, and then lifted his robe to urinate.

Seeing this, Cao Shuo was delighted.

He was worried about how to separate them, and now one of them had to urinate, which was a great help.

The Zhang Xiu's soldier was focused on the corner and didn't notice Cao Shuo quietly approaching.

After finishing, the Zhang Xiu's soldier habitually tilted his head back and shook his "tool."

At that moment, a short sword was silently placed at his throat.

Cao Shuo suddenly exerted force, and the poor Zhang Xiu's soldier didn't even realize someone was behind him before his neck was cut open by the sword.

After dealing with this person, Cao Shuo dragged the body to a dark corner.

The body was heavy, and he panted heavily after dragging it, disliking his current weak body.

Cao Shuo's body was too weak!

Dragging a body made him pant, how could he fight anyone in a direct confrontation?

Once he could escape alive, he must strengthen his body through exercise!

As he ran, he thought about how to trick the remaining three Zhang Xiu's soldiers and eliminate them one by one.
