Chapter 4

Towering buildings stood, marking the core area of the Yin family, where important members resided. A slender, beautiful young girl held a sword, its body entirely black, four feet and two inches long, no wider than a finger, and as thin as a cicada's wing, and respectfully presented it to Yin Jiwu. As she moved, the sword gently vibrated, a thin line of green light flickering on the blade, creating a faint, shimmering ripple, highlighting its remarkable flexibility.

Yin Jiwu, with a handsome face like a young man in his twenties and eyes as venomous as a snake, enveloped in a layer of dark aura, grasped the hilt in reverse and casually swung the sword. A tall, red-haired, muscular man standing behind him grunted, pulling out a metal pillar about a foot thick from his side and striking the sword's edge with a heavy blow.

With a crisp sound like slicing fruit, the solid alloy pillar, a foot thick, was cleanly cut by the slender sword. A section of the pillar fell heavily to the ground with a dull thud. The cut surface of the alloy was as smooth as a mirror, and Yin Jiwu felt no resistance from the blade, showing how effortlessly it had cut through the metal pillar.

"Excellent sword!" Yin Jiwu nodded in satisfaction.

"But it's too expensive!" The red-haired man, with his bright green eyes wide open, grunted, "That old guy is too greedy!"

Expensive? Yin Jiwu chuckled a few times but didn't bother to explain much to his trusted subordinate. Although he had been loyal to him for nearly a century, in Yin Jiwu's mind, the red-haired man, Wu Er, was just a violent enforcer, a mere servant, one of the many vassals of the Yin family. There was no need to explain many things to him!

In the Eastern cultivation world, this top-tier magical weapon was personally forged by Huolu Xiu, an elder of the Sword Casting Sect. How could its value be judged by its price? For his son, for his bloodline, Yin Jiwu was willing to pay any price.

Shaking his head and laughing, Yin Jiwu waved at Wu Er, indicating he could leave. Holding the unnamed sword, with a satisfied and proud smile, Yin Jiwu slowly walked out of his courtyard, heading towards the Young Noble Hall.

He was going to find his son, his pride, the youngest Star Warrior in the history of the Young Noble Hall, Yin Xuejiao! He wanted to present this precious sword as a gift to Yin Xuejiao in front of all the Young Nobles and their attendants!

He wanted his son to become the envy of the Young Nobles. His son, Yin Jiwu's son, should naturally be the focus of everyone's attention! This sword, custom-made for Yin Xuejiao from the Eastern cultivation world, would accompany his growth and become a powerful aid.

At the same time, he wanted the Young Nobles and their attendants to understand his strength and connections!

Only he could obtain such a divine weapon from the Eastern cultivation world, no matter the cost. Even his brother, his rival, that damned man, couldn't do it!

The Young Nobles, their attendants, and the people behind them, especially those behind them, should understand his meaning when they saw this sword! This wasn't just an ordinary sword; it was a heavy chip, a chip to win the hearts of the family!

"Xuejiao, well done!" As he walked briskly towards the Young Noble Hall, Yin Jiwu's cold eyes became much warmer. This was his son, his pride! Just fourteen years old, he had already broken through to become a Star Warrior! This was an unprecedented record in the family, and his son's brilliant achievement would greatly increase Yin Jiwu's influence within the family!

Although several other Young Nobles had also broken through to become Star Warriors last night, they were all much older than Yin Xuejiao! In terms of age, Yin Xuejiao was the most outstanding genius in the history of the Yin family!

His good mood lasted until he reached the entrance of the hall where his son was having class. Along the way, Yin Jiwu smiled and nodded to all the attendants of the Young Noble Hall, a kindness he had never shown before, leaving many attendants stunned.

But just as Yin Jiwu reached the entrance of the hall where Yin Xuejiao was, he saw Yin Xuege suddenly attack, ruthlessly slicing through half of Yin Xuejiao's neck! Blood gushed out like a fountain, and Yin Xuejiao screamed in agony, convulsing and falling to the ground, blood gushing from his neck, pooling on the floor.

With half his neck cut open and massive blood loss, Yin Xuejiao couldn't, like Yin Xuege, absorb the blood back into his body. This wasn't just a superficial wound; it was almost a decapitation. Such an injury, even with the blood demon's abnormal healing ability, would require at least a month of bed rest to fully recover!

"Reprobate!"

A cold, bloody aura rushed into Yin Jiwu's mind, his eyes turning blood red. Enraged, he roared and rushed into the hall, forgetting everything. Ignoring his son, he fiercely struck Yin Xuege with a palm.

A suffocating blood smell suddenly filled the hall, and the hearts of the Young Nobles inside beat violently, their blood flowing uncontrollably. Their eyes turned red, and their eyeballs became abnormally crimson.

Yin Jiwu's palm turned crimson, a faint blood mist enveloping it, and a strange demonic rune on his palm glowed with a piercing red light. As the rune shone, the blood flow in the Young Nobles' bodies accelerated, and they could hear the 'whooshing' sound of their blood rubbing against their veins.

Nearly a hundred Young Nobles spat blood almost simultaneously, all the blood quickly converging towards Yin Jiwu's palm. His crimson palm, like a black hole, swallowed all the blood mist and then struck Yin Xuege's back with a heavy blow.

Yin Xuege, who had severely injured Yin Xuejiao with a sudden attack, never imagined that Yin Xuejiao's father, the powerful Yin Jiwu, would disregard his status and directly attack him! Even more shockingly, Yin Jiwu, nearly two hundred years old, used a blood demon secret technique to sneak attack the eleven-year-old Yin Xuege from behind!

"Truly despicable!" Even Yin Jiyin, who harbored ill will towards Yin Xuege, couldn't help but widen his eyes. But soon, his eyes flickered, and he screamed in anguish.

"Second Brother, this is the Young Noble Hall, with its own rules!"

With Yin Jiyin's scream, a muffled sound echoed in the hall. Yin Xuege spat out a stream of blood, his lean body being slapped dozens of meters away. A clear handprint appeared on his back, and countless pieces of clothing fell off, revealing a large, bloody handprint on his back.

Yin Xuege's sword clattered to the ground, and a strange, cold aura surged into his body, squeezing his internal organs, heart, and blood vessels like a juicer. He spat out large amounts of blood, which gushed out like cheap spring water, and soon nearly half of his blood had been expelled.

Then Yin Xuege couldn't spit out even a drop of blood. From the point where he was struck, the cold aura began to freeze his body. His heart turned icy cold, and his heartbeat slowed to a fraction of its normal speed; his blood vessels rapidly shrank, becoming as thin as hair; his internal organs convulsed violently, causing him excruciating pain.

The unprecedented pain hit him. Even after years of training in the Young Noble Hall and being cut by soft swords countless times, Yin Xuege had never felt such pain!

This hollow, yet intensely crushing pain!

At the same time, Yin Xuege could feel that Yin Jiwu's palm had shattered all the bones in his back. These bone fragments, driven by the cold aura, rubbed and crushed each other, causing the nearby nerves and meridians to tense with a 'cracking' sound, making Yin Xuege's vision go black.

He wanted to faint to escape the pain, but the cold aura froze his soul, keeping him conscious.

The blood demon's body had a powerful healing ability, but after being struck by Yin Jiwu, Yin Xuege's body was as if sealed in ice, all his self-healing abilities frozen. He couldn't move, couldn't make a sound, and could only lie stiffly on the ground, helplessly enduring the endless, intense pain.

"Reprobate!" Yin Jiwu's figure flickered, appearing beside Yin Xuege like a ghost. He raised the sword in his hand, ready to stab it into Yin Xuege's heart. The only fatal weakness of a blood demon was the heart; once it was ruptured, death was certain!

Yin Jiyin, who had been rushing over, suddenly stopped. He had been shouting about the 'rules of the Young Noble Hall,' but when he saw Yin Jiwu, enraged, wanting to kill Yin Xuege, he immediately stopped and tightly closed his mouth.

"Kill him, kill this little bastard!" Yin Jiyin trembled with excitement. Kill Yin Xuege, kill him! Yin Jiwu, you who bully and manipulate in the Yin family, wanting to compete with the elder brother for power, kill Yin Xuege! Kill him! Yin Jiyin was curious; if Yin Jiwu really killed Yin Xuege, what would the sleeping and meditating elders do?

This was a disgrace to the family! Yin Xuege, who brought endless disgrace and trouble to the Yin family!

And Yin Jiwu? His power in the Yin family was overwhelming. Could he kill Yin Xuege? Dared he kill Yin Xuege?

The black sword silently pierced towards Yin Xuege's heart, bloodlight flashing as it penetrated his clothes, skin, and flesh, passing between two ribs, about to touch his heart!

But Yin Jiwu suddenly looked up, deeply staring at the motionless Yin Jiyin.

Cold sweat quickly poured from Yin Jiwu's back. He suddenly thought of Yin Xuege's mother! His wrist stiffened, and the sword tip stopped just short of Yin Xuege's heart. After a brief pause, Yin Jiwu slowly pulled out the sword, coldly glanced at Yin Xuege, and kicked him, making him slide along the ground.

Yin Xuege spat out another mouthful of blood, his body convulsing violently. The crimson handprint on his back emitted a chilling aura, and the excruciating pain made him feel like he was dying. Yin Jiwu's kick barely registered.

The Young Noble Hall was silent. Yin Jiyin looked regretfully at the lying Yin Xuege—why did the second brother stop?

The Young Nobles lowered their heads, not daring to look at Yin Jiwu, who was surrounded by a chilling aura, like a demon. With heavy steps, Yin Jiwu slowly approached Yin Xuejiao. Despite the severe injury, Yin Xuejiao's wound had stopped bleeding, and the cut was slowly healing.

"Remember this sword today!" Yin Jiwu looked down at his severely injured son.

"I thought you would be my pride! That's why I specially asked an old friend in the East to forge this divine weapon for you!"

Shaking his head in regret, Yin Jiwu slipped the sword into his robe sleeve, and the four-foot-two-inch-long sword disappeared. He sighed in frustration and then put both hands in his sleeves: "In three months, at the annual martial arts ceremony of the Yin family, if you can win, this sword will still be yours!"

Looking at his son, who had disgraced him, Yin Jiwu really wanted to kill him!

He had planned to come to the Young Noble Hall to show off his connections and power, and to boast about his excellent bloodline, using Yin Xuejiao's breakthrough as an excuse. But Yin Xuejiao, who had just become a Star Warrior, was defeated by Yin Xuege, who was three years younger and hadn't broken through yet. How could Yin Jiwu bear this?

"Remember, three months!" Yin Jiwu looked coldly at Yin Xuejiao. "If you are still this incompetent in three months!"

Yin Jiwu didn't say what would happen if Yin Xuejiao was still incompetent in three months. But Yin Xuejiao's face, already pale from blood loss, turned almost transparent. He looked at his father in fear, knowing what kind of person his father was. He trembled in fear.

At that moment, a series of hurried footsteps approached.

A man who looked almost identical to Yin Jiwu, equally handsome, equally sinister, and equally surrounded by a chilling aura, entered the hall with dozens of Yin family members. As soon as he entered, he shouted.

"Second Brother, the Young Noble Hall has its own rules. This is a crucial place for the family to train and pass on the bloodline. Are you not afraid of the family law?"

Yin Jiwu's face turned cold, and a thick blood mist surged from his body, forming a blood-colored flame behind him. He looked coldly at the acting head of the Yin family, his elder brother, Yin Jihuang, who had brought a large group of family members into the hall, and laughed sarcastically.

"Brother, you have good timing? Usually, you never step into the Young Noble Hall!"

Yin Jihuang, with his hands behind his back, approached Yin Jiwu. He looked at Yin Xuejiao, who was struggling to stand while holding his neck, and then at Yin Xuege, who was lying motionless in the corner with a blood handprint on his back, and suddenly smiled.

"I just happened to pass by and heard that Second Brother was disciplining the young ones, so I came to see out of curiosity."

The two brothers stared at each other for a while, and then Yin Jihuang suddenly reached out and lightly patted Yin Xuejiao's shoulder.

"Xuejiao, you are the youngest genius in the history of the Yin family to break through to Star Warrior! Uncle is curious, who in the Young Noble Hall could injure you to this extent? Did you make a mistake and lose your guard?"

Yin Xuejiao's face turned extremely ugly. He looked at Yin Jihuang and then at his father, his anger boiling but not daring to show it. He could only bow his head and listen to Yin Jihuang's sarcastic remarks.

Yin Jiwu was even angrier. He glanced at his son and stomped his foot heavily. Without acknowledging Yin Jihuang, Yin Jiwu turned into a black shadow and abruptly rushed out of the hall.

Yin Jihuang smiled strangely, then his face turned cold. He glanced at Yin Jiyin and said calmly, "Let the children solve their own problems. We shouldn't interfere too much!"

He coldly snorted, threw his sleeves, and walked out of the Young Noble Hall without another word.

Yin Jiyin exhaled heavily and sneered. Let the children solve their own problems? That sounds nice, but if the one beaten today wasn't Yin Xuejiao but someone else, Yin Jihuang probably wouldn't say that, right?

Licking his lips with a crimson tongue, Yin Jiyin said in a sinister voice, "So, let's continue the practical class? Yin Xuejiao vs. Yin Xuege, Yin Xuejiao loses, Yin Xuege wins. I'll record this in your records?"

Yin Xuejiao, holding his neck, didn't say a word, but his face turned pale and his eyes glowed with blood, his gaze venomous and terrifying, like a snake ready to strike after being stepped on.

Yin Xuege didn't make a sound and didn't move.

He lay in the corner of the hall like a corpse, silently enduring the endless pain inside his body.

One pair after another of Young Nobles began to fight, and no one paid attention to Yin Xuege. After the practical class ended for the day, Yin Jiyin called an old blood servant to take Yin Xuege back to his residence.

Lying stiffly on a simple bed in a small building, Yin Xuege didn't make a sound.

Not until nightfall, when the blood mist barrier was lifted and a beam of moonlight shone through the window onto Yin Xuege's body.
