Chapter 18

In the early morning, the sunlight filtered through the windows into the typical Japanese wooden house, and the young girl awoke with the rising sun.
Getting up, she neatly folded the futon and left the room, walking into the adjacent dojo to begin her morning practice.
The girl's name is Sodeyuki Bakugou. Her family owns an old kendo dojo, which, during its peak when her father was alive, once taught over a hundred disciples simultaneously.
Unfortunately, times have changed. With the passing of her father and mother, only Sodeyuki Bakugou and her younger sister, Mai Bakugou, remain, supporting each other.
Though the money left by her parents is enough for the two sisters to live on, Sodeyuki Bakugou still goes to great lengths to maintain the dojo her father left behind.
However, despite her best efforts, the last disciple of the dojo quit just a few days ago, and the dojo's closure seems imminent.
Even so, Sodeyuki Bakugou has never stopped her daily practice.
Entering the dilapidated kendo dojo, she picked up a bamboo sword from the wooden rack and began swinging it forward, repeating the chopping motions that she performs thousands of times every day.
Soon, fine beads of sweat appeared on Sodeyuki Bakugou's body, but strangely, there was no hint of body odor.
If someone were to be in front of Sodeyuki Bakugou at that moment, they would have smelled a faint, delicate fragrance.
In other words, Sodeyuki Bakugou is a person with a natural body scent.
Combined with her delicate features, smooth and tender skin, and a head of long, black, silky hair, she is the kind of girl that anyone would acknowledge as a perfect beauty.
After completing her morning practice, having swung the sword a thousand times, Sodeyuki Bakugou took a quick shower to wash off the sweat, then went to her sister's room to wake her up.
"Mai, it's time to get up, or you'll be late for school!" Sodeyuki Bakugou said as she opened the door to her sister's room.
"Mmm, let me sleep a bit longer!" Mai Bakugou turned over, curling up in a ball under the futon and said reluctantly.
"No, get up and get ready," Sodeyuki Bakugou insisted.
"Onee-chan, I have a fever, I feel so bad!" Mai Bakugou poked her cute face out from the ball of futon and pouted.
"Oh, really! Since you have a fever, I'll get you some medicine. I'll use the same Chinese herbal medicine as last time," Sodeyuki Bakugou said calmly. The term "Chinese herbal medicine" is the Japanese way of referring to traditional Chinese medicine.
"Ah, the bitter medicine from last time?" Mai Bakugou immediately widened her big, round eyes.
"Yes, I'll go get it for you," Sodeyuki Bakugou said, making a move to fetch the medicine.
"Wait, Onee-chan, I suddenly feel better. I'm fine now," Mai Bakugou immediately jumped out of bed to stop her sister.
Mai Bakugou, who is in the sixth grade of elementary school and is only twelve years old, has just started to develop, but from her doll-like face, it is already clear that she will grow up to be a beauty not inferior to her sister.
Of course, even now, she is already a little beauty.
The morning interaction between the sisters ended with Mai Bakugou's defeat.
Thus, having failed to feign illness, Mai Bakugou had to get up and get ready, while her older sister, Sodeyuki Bakugou, went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
After finishing her morning routine and getting dressed, Mai Bakugou sat at the dining table, and Sodeyuki Bakugou had already prepared a simple breakfast.
Rice, miso soup, and a grilled fish—a standard Japanese breakfast.
After the sisters finished their breakfast, they left home and went to school.
After school, Sodeyuki Bakugou went directly to the supermarket to buy groceries. Because she had to take care of her sister, she did not join any clubs, even though the kendo club members had repeatedly begged her to join, but she still refused.
After buying the groceries and returning home, since it was still some time before dinner, Sodeyuki Bakugou did not rush to prepare the meal. Instead, she went to the dojo to practice kendo.
Not long after, her sister, Mai, also returned and was dragged by Sodeyuki Bakugou to the dojo to practice together.
Although Mai was not particularly fond of kendo, she had been taught by her father from a young age and had gradually developed a habit. Even after her father's death, she did not strongly oppose her sister's insistence on her practicing.
However, compared to Sodeyuki Bakugou, who loved kendo from the heart, Mai's progress was much slower.
But Sodeyuki Bakugou did not mind. She was well aware that if Mai did not like kendo, forcing her to practice would not be very effective.
So, Sodeyuki Bakugou's purpose in forcing Mai to practice was to help her become stronger. Otherwise, a child without parents would only become weaker if she did not become stronger.
Thus, the two sisters practiced in the empty dojo until a loud knocking on the door came from outside.
"Is anyone home?" a voice called from outside the dojo.
Sodeyuki Bakugou frowned but still opened the dojo door. As expected, she saw the familiar faces of the same men in suits.
"You're here again? Haven't I told you many times that we won't sell?" Sodeyuki Bakugou looked at the men in suits as if they were dirt.
"Miss Bakugou, you should understand that this dojo can no longer return to its former glory. If that's the case, why not sell the land? Our company plans to build a high-end apartment complex here, and we will certainly offer a price that will satisfy you! With that money, you and your sister can live a better life. Isn't that a good thing?" the lead man in the suit tried to persuade her.
"This is my father's dojo, and I will not sell it," Sodeyuki Bakugou said coolly.
"Miss Bakugou, I hope you understand that our patience is limited. If you do not cooperate, we may have to ask the authorities to help resolve the issue. You should know that our company, Tokugen, has a deep relationship with the Tsuda-gumi," the man in the suit threatened.
"Are you threatening me? As a daughter of a warrior family, I am not afraid of threats. If you can do it, then come!" Sodeyuki Bakugou's face remained expressionless as she spoke.
She then reached out and took a katana from the wall nearby, slowly drawing the blade and continued, "Let's see whose sword is faster."
The lead man in the suit could only glare at Sodeyuki Bakugou and said, "Let's go," before leading the others away.
However, as he turned to leave, he did not see that Sodeyuki Bakugou's hand holding the sword was trembling slightly.
Not out of fear, but out of excitement.
With the sword in hand, the path ahead is the human body.
If she were to strike, the gushing blood would splash, what a beautiful scene that would be!
No, no, I must resist, I cannot hurt anyone, that is wrong, that is a crime.
But how much I want to, how much I want to! I want to strike the human body, see the organs flow out of the wound, observe the still beating heart, feel the warmth of the blood.
That would be so beautiful, just thinking about it makes me feel wet down there.
No, no, I cannot, I cannot think about it anymore.
That is wrong, I cannot do it, yes, that is abnormal, I cannot do it.
Sodeyuki Bakugou's face turned slightly red as she saw her sister, who was looking at her with a puzzled expression, and finally slowly sheathed the sword.
