As the pure yang true qi from Aoye stimulated the muscles on Sajou Fuuki's left shoulder, the bullet was expelled through the muscle's movement.
Then, the pure yang true qi continued to stimulate muscle growth, gradually stopping the bleeding and contracting the wound on Sajou Fuuki's left shoulder, significantly reducing the injury.
As for the graze on her right arm, it had already completely healed, leaving only a red mark. Even if left untreated, it was believed that the red mark would disappear in a few days.
At the same time, Aoye used the pure yang true qi to generate heat, drying Sajou Fuuki's clothes to prevent her from catching a cold after being injured. Even the sand and dirt on her body were mostly blown away by the warm wind while her clothes were being dried, making it hard to see any obvious sand or dirt on her clothes and body without a close look.
Silently entering Sajou Fuuki's home, her younger sister, Sajou Mai, was already asleep in her room.
So, Aoye directly carried Sajou Fuuki into her room.
In the Japanese-style room, there was no bed; instead, futons were laid out on the tatami floor for sleeping.
Therefore, there was no bed for Sajou Fuuki to lie down on immediately.
Aoye had to first lean Sajou Fuuki against the door on the tatami floor, then prepare the bed, and finally lay her down on the futon.
Throughout this process, Sajou Fuuki did not wake up. Perhaps because she was too tired and could finally rest, or perhaps because of the soothing effect of Aoye's pure yang true qi, Sajou Fuuki slept quietly and did not wake up even when Aoye laid her on the soft futon.
However, just as Aoye was about to leave after covering her with the futon, perhaps sensing Aoye's intention to leave in her sleep, Sajou Fuuki reached out and grabbed Aoye's hand.
Aoye tried to pull away, but found that although Sajou Fuuki's grip was not tight, it was very firm. Whenever Aoye tried to pry her hand loose, Sajou Fuuki's grip would tighten in resistance.
So, Aoye could only shake his head with a smile and sit down next to Sajou Fuuki, leaning against the wooden sliding door.
With one hand held by Sajou Fuuki's hand outside the futon, Aoye sat leaning against the door, looking at the small but exquisite scenery in the courtyard outside, feeling the night breeze and the warm touch from the other hand, his heart filled with peace.
Thus, Aoye no longer thought about leaving and continued to sit there, letting time pass quietly.
The next morning, as the rising sun shone into the room through the open door, the bright sunlight woke Sajou Fuuki.
Still a bit dazed from just waking up, Sajou Fuuki then saw Aoye sitting next to her, leaning against the sliding door, and heard Aoye say, "You're awake? Feeling better?"
Sajou Fuuki then remembered everything that happened last night and realized she was still holding Aoye's hand.
Her face turned red instantly.
She quickly got up, released Aoye's hand, and knelt on the futon, bowing to Aoye, "Thank you, Lord Uesugi, for saving my life. I was really rude last night."
Sajou Fuuki then remembered how she had cried uncontrollably in Aoye's arms last night, and her face turned even redder.
"No need to be so formal, just call me Aoye," Aoye waved his hand indifferently.
"How can I do that! Calling Lord Uesugi by his name is out of the question," Sajou Fuuki immediately objected.
"I've already said, no need to be so formal. If you keep being so formal, it will make me feel distant," Aoye smiled.
"Well, then I will call you Lord Aoye!" Sajou Fuuki compromised.
"Fine, as you wish," Aoye knew that Sajou Fuuki was not someone who would easily compromise, so he didn't argue about the title and continued, "You look much better now, so I guess you're fine, right?"
"Huh?" Sajou Fuuki then realized she should have been injured, so she immediately looked at her left shoulder and saw that the wound was already healing.
Although there was still a significant wound, it had already scabbed over, and it would likely fully heal in no time.
"What happened?" Sajou Fuuki asked in surprise.
"I helped you remove the bullet and treated your wound. I was worried about infection, but it seems you're really fine now," Aoye said, taking out a blood-stained bullet and handing it to Sajou Fuuki, "This is the bullet I removed from your shoulder. Keep it as a memento."
"Thank you so much," Sajou Fuuki bowed again and took the bullet with both hands.
"Ah," Aoye yawned and said, "Since you're fine now, I should go back. Sleeping in a chair isn't very comfortable, and I need to catch up on some sleep." Aoye stood up, ready to leave.
"Wait, Lord Aoye," Sajou Fuuki said immediately.
"Is there something else?" Aoye asked.
"If you don't mind, please rest here. I'll prepare breakfast and call you to eat together, okay?" Sajou Fuuki said, her face slightly flushed.
As a young girl, inviting a man to sleep in her room was a very shameful thing. But thinking that Aoye had stayed up all night because of her, Sajou Fuuki felt it was her responsibility. As a daughter of a samurai family, she believed she should take responsibility.
This was how Sajou Fuuki justified it to herself.
"Okay, I'll rest here. It will save me the trip back to the apartment, and I can go straight to school from here," Aoye immediately agreed.
Since Sajou Fuuki didn't mind, Aoye, who had lived for hundreds of years and had long since let go of everything, naturally didn't care either.
"Huh? Go to school? Is Lord Aoye a student too?" Sajou Fuuki asked curiously.
"Yes, and I'm in the same grade as you, first year at Seikawa Private High School. But compared to your popularity at school, I'm not well-known, so it's normal that you don't know me," Aoye smiled.
