Chapter 84

In the early morning, Aoba stretched and got out of bed, and the first thing he saw was Shiro Oni, who was still in the middle of his cultivation.
Aoba did not disturb Shiro Oni, but it was clear that he would have to prepare breakfast himself today. This made Aoba, who had gotten used to having his breakfast prepared by Shiro every morning, feel a bit out of sorts.
He fried two eggs, toasted two slices of bread, and while making breakfast, Aoba suddenly felt a sense of inspiration and decided to take the opportunity to make a lunch box as well.
After eating breakfast, Shiro Oni was still in cultivation, so Aoba took the lunch box and left the room.
As usual, Kitagawa Kano was sweeping the courtyard in the apartment complex.
"Kano, good morning," Aoba greeted her.
"Aoba-kun, are you going to school? Have a good day," Kitagawa Kano said with a smile.
"Yep, see you later," Aoba said goodbye to Kitagawa Kano and left the apartment.
The private Seikawa High School was as busy as usual in the morning. Students hurried into the campus, and everything was just as it was on any other day, making it hard to imagine what had happened here last night.
Aoba, as usual, entered the classroom just before the bell rang. He then saw Ito and Inoue huddled together, whispering about something.
Ito's full name is Ito Yujin, and Inoue is called Inoue Yasuji.
When the two noticed Aoba entering the classroom, they looked at him with somewhat evasive eyes, clearly unsure whether they should greet him or not.
However, before they could make a decision, Aoba greeted them first.
"Ito, Inoue, good morning," Aoba said naturally as he passed by them.
"Good morning, Sugiura-kun," the two replied.
The first class passed quickly, and after the class, Ishihara Yuma, as usual, came to Aoba's side to chat.
"Aoba, you brought a lunch box again today?" Ishihara Yuma said, looking at the lunch box in Aoba's hand.
"Yeah, sometimes I just feel like having a lunch box, don't you?" Aoba said with a smile.
However, before the two could exchange a few more words, Ito Yujin and Inoue Yasuji had already come over.
"Sugiura-kun, can we borrow Ishihara-kun for a moment?" Ito Yujin said, clasping his hands together in a pleading manner.
"Please, we really need him," Inoue Yasuji also clasped his hands together and pleaded.
"Sure, do whatever you want with him. You can even sell him if you like," Aoba said without hesitation.
"Hey, what do you mean by 'sell him'!" Ishihara Yuma immediately retorted.
"I'm just being honest! And do you really think anyone would pay to buy you?" Aoba said with a straight face.
"That's a subtle way of putting it, but I can't really argue with that!" Ishihara Yuma struggled to say.
Then he was dragged away by Ito Yujin and Inoue Yasuji.
After their shared experience of fighting together last night, although the three of them still didn't talk much, Ishihara Yuma, Ito Yujin, and Inoue Yasuji had developed a good friendship and become much closer. This is why Ishihara Yuma was being dragged away by the two of them.
Otherwise, given how Ito Yujin and Inoue Yasuji usually had no presence in the class, they wouldn't have acted this way towards anyone.
Soon, the three of them left the classroom and went somewhere, not returning until the bell rang for the next class.
After the next class, Ishihara Yuma was dragged away by the two again. Aoba had no idea what Ito Yujin and Inoue Yasuji were planning, and he certainly wasn't bored enough to use his divine sense to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Finally, those two let me go!" Ishihara Yuma complained to Aoba.
"What happened? You look like you've been through a lot," Aoba said with a laugh.
"You wouldn't believe what they want to do!" Ishihara Yuma said with a deadpan expression.
"Really? Tell me," Aoba asked, playing along.
"They want to start a club and drag me into it, and they even want me to drag you in too," Ishihara Yuma said, leaning on the desk.
"Start a club? What kind of club?" Aoba asked curiously.
"A paranormal club? A magic club? A strange detective club? They haven't decided on a name yet, but they said if I join, I can name it!" Ishihara Yuma said, looking exhausted.
"Wow, that sounds interesting!" Aoba said with a smile.
"Interesting? I don't find it interesting at all!" Ishihara Yuma shot Aoba a glare.
"Did they say what the club activities would be?" Aoba asked curiously.
"Um, something like investigating strange legends or accepting commissions to solve paranormal events," Ishihara Yuma recalled and answered.
"That sounds pretty interesting. Why don't you join?" Aoba encouraged him.
"Please, I don't have time for any club activities!" Ishihara Yuma said irritably.
"You have plenty of time. Don't you always go home right after school?" Aoba countered.
"I don't just sit around at home. I have plans to play online games with my friends! I can't be late," Ishihara Yuma immediately retorted.
"Online friends, right?" Aoba asked.
"Online friends are still friends. Don't look down on online friends," Ishihara Yuma said, glaring.
"I'm not looking down on online friends, but spending all your free time on online games is a bit excessive! It would be nice to join such an interesting club," Aoba shrugged and continued to persuade him.
"If you find it interesting, then you join," Ishihara Yuma said.
"Sure, if you decide to join, I'll join too! I don't have much to do anyway, and it would be nice to join an interesting club. Are you going to join?" Aoba threw the question back at him.
"I, I, why do I have to join?" Ishihara Yuma looked frustrated.
Just as Ishihara Yuma was stammering, unsure of what to say, the bell rang, and he let out a sigh of relief, finally escaping the topic.
By the time the next break came, it was already lunchtime. Since Aoba had brought a lunch box, Ishihara Yuma had to go to the cafeteria with Ito Yujin and Inoue Yasuji.
However, watching Ishihara Yuma walk with the two, who were constantly talking, and seeing his unwilling face, it was clear that he was still being persuaded to join the club.
It looked like he wouldn't have a peaceful lunch.
Aoba sympathetically shook his head, picked up his lunch box, and left the classroom.
