Chapter 91

As the school bell rang, the students began to spring into action.
Those who were going to club activities headed to their respective clubs, while those going home walked with friends, perhaps sharing a can of drink or a crepe along the way!
Everyone had their own friends, and they all moved in pairs or small groups, except for the girl sitting in the corner of the classroom, who, as usual, was alone.
The girl's name was Shimizu Kyoko, a girl who had always been unremarkable, and due to her introverted personality, she had never had any friends.
As the students in the classroom left one by one, Shimizu Kyoko also got up to leave.
Before leaving, she secretly glanced at a girl not far away who was chatting happily with her friends.
Yamamoto is very kind and friendly, always greeting me! I've always wanted to get along well with her, but I always mess it up. How nice it would be if I could become friends with Yamamoto.
Sighing in her heart, Shimizu Kyoko ultimately did not muster the courage to speak up. She longed to have a friend to confide in and to have a normal romance like any other girl.
Unfortunately, even such a simple wish was hard to achieve! Without a pretty appearance, she would not become the center of attention among girls or be pursued by boys. Her introverted personality also prevented her from taking the initiative to get along with other girls, or even from having the courage to join club activities.
So Shimizu Kyoko remained alone, and even in high school, nothing changed.
After school, as classmates left in groups or went to club activities,
she could only look on enviously, then leave the classroom and silently walk home alone.
However, for Shimizu Kyoko, today was destined to be an extraordinary day. Not long after she left school, a voice suddenly called out to her, interrupting her daydreaming.
"Excuse me, hello." A boy in the uniform of a nearby private high school, Seikawa High, stopped her.
"Y-You, hello. Is there something you need?" Shimizu Kyoko dared not look at the boy, speaking in a timid, low voice.
"Ah! Something? Yes, I do have something to ask you." The boy said with certainty.
"Huh? Something to ask me?" Shimizu Kyoko quickly glanced at the boy, then hurriedly lowered her head.
"Can I know your name first?" The boy asked.
"I, I'm Shimizu Kyoko," Shimizu Kyoko replied in a voice as soft as a mosquito's, but the boy clearly heard her.
The boy nodded and then bluntly asked, "Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Huh? A b-boyfriend? O-of course not." Shimizu Kyoko's face turned completely red, her shyness overwhelming her fear of the stranger, making her look up and speak to the boy.
Although it was just a normal speaking voice, for the introverted Shimizu Kyoko, it was already a great effort.
"Actually, I have a very good friend who has liked you for a long time, but he's been too shy to confess, so he asked me to find out about you," the boy continued.
Without waiting for Shimizu Kyoko to react, he added, "How about this: tomorrow at the same time, right here, I'll bring him to meet you, okay?"
Stunned by this overwhelming information, Shimizu Kyoko stood there in a daze, while the boy continued, "Alright, it's settled then. My name is Uesugi Aoba, and my friend is Ishihara Yuma. I'll bring him to meet you tomorrow! See you then."
With that, Aoba waved and left, leaving Shimizu Kyoko still standing there in shock.
It took a long time for the blushing Shimizu Kyoko to recover.
Could it be that my spring is finally coming?
This was the only thought in Shimizu Kyoko's mind.
After saying goodbye to the girl she met on the way, Aoba returned to the apartment.
Under the eaves of the apartment, Kitagawa Kako was drinking tea as usual, but today she had a companion, a maid named Shiraki.
"Master, welcome back," Shiraki greeted Aoba.
"Hi, Shiraki, Kako! Good afternoon!" Aoba waved.
Now, Kitagawa Kako was already aware of Shiraki's identity as Aoba's maid, so she didn't find it strange to call her by that name. Not only Kako, but also Shimada Isaku and Takeuchi Kinu, who had eaten cake with them, knew this, as Shiraki had introduced herself that way.
Everyone found it strange that Shiraki was Aoba's maid, but they didn't ask more, as it was a private matter, and prying would be impolite.
"Good afternoon, Aoba! Would you like to have tea with us?" Kitagawa Kako invited.
"No, I found something special today, so I'll go back to my room first," Aoba shook his head.
"Master, do you have any preferences for dinner?" Shiraki asked.
"Hmm, nothing special. Just make whatever you like, Shiraki," Aoba thought for a moment and said.
"Understood, Master," Shiraki nodded.
"No rush, enjoy your afternoon tea with Kako! Dinner is still a long way off," Aoba smiled.
"I will, thank you, Master," Shiraki replied.
Time quickly passed to the next day! As soon as school was over, Aoba dragged the somewhat reluctant Ishihara Yuma out of the school gate, followed by Sanada Natsu and Sengoku Bishou, who were there to watch the show.
Soon, the four of them arrived at the place where Aoba had agreed to meet Shimizu Kyoko the day before. After a short wait, they saw Shimizu Kyoko hesitantly approaching from a corner.
Clearly, despite her hesitation, she had come.
"Hey, Shimizu! You're here," Aoba greeted her first.
"Y-You, hello!" Shimizu Kyoko replied in a mosquito-like voice.
"Come, let me introduce you. This is Ishihara Yuma, the one I mentioned," Aoba pushed Yuma forward.
Shimizu Kyoko quickly looked up at Yuma, then immediately lowered her head, but her face was completely red, and she managed to say, "P-Please take care of me."
"Hello, please take care of me," Yuma said, equally awkwardly.
Natsu Sanada stifled a giggle, and even Bishou Sengoku's lips curled into a smile.
However, when the two of them noticed each other laughing, they exchanged a glance, huffed silently, and turned away from each other! Of course, they did this deliberately out of Aoba's sight, a tacit understanding between them!
