When Ben opened the door of the inspector’s office without knocking, the two or three people inside looked at him at the same time. The inspector, Joseph and Miller were sitting down when he came.

“So how are you going to take responsibility?”

Miller gave Ben a short glance and asked Joseph coldly. Joseph had a hard time talking because of the sharp words, with his shoulders down and bowing his head.

“Since when did MKV become so arbitrary?”

Miller also lashed out at the inspector in a stern voice. It was a clear question, but he showed his willingness not to listen to any excuses or answers.

Being the glass door halfway open, Ben walked into the office after seeing the two embarrassed people in front of Miller.

“He should be punished for acting on his own, but why are you getting mad over the spilled milk?”

Ben stood next to Joseph, feeling sorry for him because he looked so depressed. Joseph’s eyes sparkled as if he had met the savior, and on the contrary, Miller’s eyes became scary and sharp.

“Don’t you need a change of plans rather than scolding him like this?”

“Hah, are you taking his side because he’s your subordinate?”

Ben’s face was crumpled at the sight of criticizing him by using unusual vulgar words. He looked at Miller with a look that said that he couldn’t understand why he disparaged him as a fool.

However, Miller didn’t lift an eyebrow and only stared at Joseph, who was still sitting in front of him with a stern look.

As he swept his hair, Ben let out a light sigh to remain calm. However, he didn’t know who was the dumbest of all: those people who were still not able to use a knife and were listed as members of the MKV, or MI6 agents who were leaking information on their side.

“Yes, I’m on his side. Stop it if you already know that. I’ll teach you a lesson if you keep going, Mr. O’Donoughue.”

Miller’s gray eyes, which seemed to explode at any moment, stared at Ben. The outspoken anger was revealed completely.

“Don’t believe in anyone. He told me about the weapon in great detail.”

For fuck’s sake , Ben swore lowly. He expected it, but he didn’t really think he really made a bullet and killed him.

Ben stared at Joseph and sighed. When he gave him the location of the holy water, Ben knew vaguely that this would happen one day, but he resented his own irresponsibility of not telling him how to dispose of the body.

Of course, it was necessary to get rid of vampires who seemed to be completely members of human society like Han Cheng. If this wasn’t done, the police would take part, the media would take part, and human society would become noisy.

“For now, get out.”

Without responding to Miller’s sarcasm, Ben said that to Joseph.

“Go where? Tell him how he’s going to take responsibility for this. Take responsibility and leave the company.”

Upset by Ben’s attitude of ignoring him, Miller quickly spat out those words.

“I told you to stop.”

He felt sorry for constantly pushing him, so Ben held back his anger, biting his molar tightly, and responded in a polite tone.

“The chief inspector doesn’t have the authority to command me.”

Ben’s anger was all the way to his head because of Miller, who spoke coldly without giving him an eye and stared sharply at Joseph again with a piercing look.

“I said get out-!”

Ben raised his voice to Joseph, who was unable to do anything. As Joseph didn’t move and Ben grabbed his shoulder and forced him to stand up, Miller got up first, nervous. Then, he pulled Ben’s hand holding Joseph’s shoulder toward him.

“If you wanted it so much, we’d better be the ones to leave, because it doesn’t seem that he will at all.”

Ben could barely see Miller raising the corners of his mouth. The forced smile felt somehow more severe, so Ben nodded without thinking of rejecting him.

Miller, coming out of the yard, took the lead and quickly walked and pulled Ben toward the alley. Then, he bit Ben’s lips, who let out a quick groan of pain, but the sound disappeared into Miller’s mouth.

Miller pushed his tongue into his open lips. The tip of his tongue licked every corner of Ben’s mouth and pushed his tongue as it kept falling back. Miller continued to push Ben against the wall, regardless of being hit by Ben’s teeth.

B etween Miller’s body and the cold wall, Ben struggled to embrace the harsh kiss. Out of breath, Ben finally dropped his lips when he slapped Miller on the shoulder.

Taking a step back, Miller stared at Ben with a disgruntled look as if he was going to eat him, and Ben squirmed as if he was holding back what he wanted to say.

The moment Ben called Miller’s name, he faced his lips again. It was a much softer and sweeter kiss than before.

He slightly pulled his lips open and gently pushed his tongue in. When a finger touching his earlobe gently wrapped around the back of the head, Ben gently put his hands on his shoulder.

The two men’s lips fell off as their tongues, which had been gently penetrating the other’s mouth for a long time, slipped out. Miller stuck his hand closer to Ben’s face and bit his earlobe a little. Miller opened his mouth when Ben grasped Miller’s shoulder with a tickling sensation.

“Because of you, how much-”

Instead of letting him talk, Miller pulled Ben’s wrist and headed toward his sedan. That kiss had stolen Ben’s soul, so he was just taken away without remembering what he was saying so angrily.

Even when he got in the car, his wrist was still grabbed. The place where the cold skin came into contact was hot. Miller was looking straight ahead without saying anything, so Ben talked first, naturally turning his wrist away.

“Joseph didn’t do it on purpose. He said he was working as a MKV member. Why are you pushing him so hard?”

Miller stared at Ben’s face with an angry look.

“Are you siding with him until the end in front of me?”

When Miller growled low, Ben’s breath was briefly blown away.

The reason why he was so angry now wasn’t because of the failure of the plan, but because Ben sided with Joseph. He shouldn’t have done it, but a laugh leaked out from Ben.

Ben bit his molar hard to hold back his laughter, but Miller’s face was so serious that he couldn’t stand it anymore. In the end, Ben began to giggle.

Miller’s face changed subtly when Ben suddenly laughed. When Ben saw the look on his face, he hit the passenger seat with his hand and started laughing loudly.

Miller, who was looking at Ben, frowned when he realized the childishness of what he had just said. Seeing Miller’s embarrassed expression, Ben began to laugh even louder. Ben laughed so much more that he needed to wipe the tears off his eyes.

“It’s the first time someone’s been emotional because of me.”

Miller looked at Ben without saying anything.

“My mom always thought about them before me. She only asked me how many of them I killed today, and if I could do it again tomorrow.”

Miller stared at him without saying anything, and his past, sometimes as if it came to mind, was only a reminder of how lonely he must have been during his short life.

Ben was tired of loneliness and had attack as his best defense, but when Miller broke down the boundary and got a little closer, inside him was a person curled up.

Miller had already stopped a long time ago and felt the pain tightening. Maybe this was what humans called sad or pitiful.

“Han Cheng is dead, so even if you are used as the bait, MI6 has nothing to offer you.”

As Miller spoke, he felt that the plan was really going wrong. If he really was out of the plan, there was no answer on how to deal with it from now. It was frustrating that they were on a dead end, but on the other side, he also hoped that Ben would back out.

“Han Cheng may be dead, but it’s not over yet. You finish your work and leave London so that we don’t have to fight over this. Over Joseph’s thing neither.”

Looking out the empty window, Ben calmly said, adding Joseph. Miller looked at Ben with his lips straight. There was no turning back now.

“What do you want to do now that Han Cheng is dead?”

“It’s okay, it isn’t known who killed Han Cheng exactly and Joseph used the same method, so if we deal with a few things, you can be mistaken for the murderer.”

“Mn, I guess so. If they think I killed him, I’ll be able to do it in a way that’s not too different from the original plan.”

As Ben said, Miller thought about something and nodded his head.

“By the way, are you really okay with it? Han Cheng, didn’t you want to take care of him yourself?”

“Not really. I’d rather want to find him than deal with him, so I don’t care, but in a way, I feel relieved because I’ve got an excuse to get out of it.”

“Even if you stop doing this, they might chase you.”

“That doesn’t matter. I’m not stupid enough to be caught by them , and there’s nothing they can do in a city like this anyway.”

Ben smiled happily as if he was really carefree.

Miller clenched his fist silently while having a smiling face. The voice of the reason that he shouldn’t have made a strange mood, and his inner voice told him to run away right now.
