Chapter 25

Over a hundred rats rushed into the restaurant, creating a spectacular scene.
The well-dressed men and women were all terrified, screaming in fear. One woman even fainted, and everyone scattered in all directions. Chairs and tables fell over, and dishes shattered, turning the scene into utter chaos.
The rats seemed to have a purpose. They ignored the steaks that had fallen on the ground.
A group of them rushed to the spot where Su Jing had been sitting, jumped onto the table, and surrounded the pepper shaker that Su Jing had used.
Another group rushed to Zhao Jun and Li Boss, eyeing them menacingly.
"Swallowing hard," Zhao Jun and Li Boss both gulped, stunned by the scene for a second.
Then they reacted simultaneously, turning to flee. They were fine when they didn't move, but as soon as they did, the rats quickly chased after them. A few more aggressive ones leaped onto Zhao Jun, climbing toward his pocket.
With a few rats crawling on him, the somewhat obsessive-compulsive Zhao Jun nearly went mad. He screamed like a woman and wildly shook his body, trying to shake the rats off. Although he managed to shake off one or two, his running speed slowed down, and more rats jumped onto him. To hold on, the rats tore his clothes and skin, and a few even bit him.
Li Boss wasn't attacked by any rats and managed to escape. Seeing Zhao Jun's miserable state, he couldn't help but draw a sharp breath. He naturally didn't dare to rush over to help. Turning to the waiters, he said, "What are you all standing there for? Go and save Young Master Zhao!"
All the employees retreated, shaking their heads like rattles.
Are you kidding? Who would dare to go up to such a vicious group of rats?
They were waiters, not pest control workers.
"Ah! Ah! Ah!"
Zhao Jun cried and screamed, rolling on the ground, looking like a madman.
Many rats were crushed by him, but they still wouldn't let go.
After nearly a minute, the rats suddenly scattered, leaving Zhao Jun lying on the ground, gasping for breath.
No one noticed that during the chaos, one rat had bitten through Zhao Jun's pocket, grabbed a small piece of meat, and quickly swallowed it.
Another group of rats also scattered, but the pepper shaker they had surrounded was now in shambles.
"What the hell is going on?" Zhao Jun stood up, roaring. His clothes were torn, and his skin was covered in red bite marks, making him look extremely disheveled. In this state, he wouldn't be allowed into a high-end restaurant, let alone a street-side fast-food place.
"I want to know what the hell is going on too!" Li Boss scanned the chaotic restaurant, his eyes red. He had just driven away a big shot and hadn't even had time to face the big shot's anger when this happened. In a high-end restaurant, even one rat could severely impact business, taking a long time to recover. With such a large group of rats, the business was already half-ruined. Who would dare to eat in a restaurant infested with rats?
"Jing, you really can swallow this." Outside the Western restaurant, Zhu Jianhua was still somewhat resentful.
"Heh, why get angry with them? They will eventually get what they deserve," Su Jing said with a faint smile.
"That's right. A restaurant that deliberately embarrasses its guests won't last long," Mr. Wang said casually. Su Jing, Zhu Jianhua, and the others didn't pay much attention to his words, but Lin Cai'er, who knew Mr. Wang's identity, thought the Western restaurant was finished. However, neither Lin Cai'er nor Mr. Wang knew that the restaurant was already almost finished.
"Sorry, Mr. Su, I didn't expect Zhao Jun to use such low tactics," Shen Jiayao said apologetically.
"It's fine. I don't mind. We can just eat somewhere else," Su Jing said calmly.
"I know a restaurant with good food," Mr. Wang said. This time, Mr. Wang led them to another high-end restaurant, which served various traditional Chinese dishes, all of which were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. After eating and drinking to their heart's content, Shen Jiayao, Zhu Jianhua, and Mr. Wang all vied to pay the bill, but since Mr. Wang was a regular customer, he ended up paying.
Shen Jiayao had already finalized her cooperation with Su Jing and agreed to have Zhu Jianhua send some stray animals to Su Jing's place the next day, along with bringing back the pets Su Jing had trained to the Perfect Pet Paradise. With everything settled, Shen Jiayao, Zhu Jianhua, and Liu Yin left for the pet paradise, leaving Su Jing and Mr. Wang to talk privately.
"Mr. Wang, what do you need from me? Feel free to speak your mind," Su Jing said.
"It's like this," Mr. Wang paused slightly, seemingly considering his words, then continued, "I have a five-and-a-half-year-old son. Since last December, he has started disliking food. At first, we thought it was just a child being stubborn, but later he started vomiting after eating. We took him to the hospital and found out he had anorexia. Since then, my son hasn't had a proper meal, mostly relying on intravenous nutrition. Yesterday evening, my friend Zhou Xian brought over a bowl of fish congee, and my son actually ate it all and wanted more. He also seemed more energetic. Zhou Xian told me that the fish congee was made by Mr. Su, so I want to ask Mr. Su to be my son's personal chef. I beg you to help. As for the salary, it's up to you."
"I see," Su Jing realized. Zhou Xian had taken the fish congee to go, not to eat it himself, and the congee he had cooked had actually made someone with anorexia want to eat more. He hadn't expected that. However, Su Jing didn't want to be a chef, let alone a personal chef. He wasn't too concerned about the salary. While he wanted to make money, he didn't want to profit from a sick child. After some thought, he asked, "Is your son's anorexia due to psychological or physiological issues?"
"It's pediatric anorexia, a disorder of the digestive system, so it's a physiological issue," Mr. Wang answered honestly, though he didn't understand why Su Jing asked.
"I see. Then I'll try a course of dietary therapy for a while and see if it works," Su Jing said. Since Mr. Wang had come to him and was so polite, he couldn't refuse, but he didn't want to waste too much time on others. He hoped to find a cure. If it was mainly a psychological issue, he would be at a loss, but if it was mainly a physiological issue, he might be able to help.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Su," Mr. Wang said, overjoyed. "To be honest, my son is in the neighboring Zhongyun Huakang Hospital, and the restaurant owner here is giving me face. Mr. Su can cook here, and you can ask for any ingredients you need."
"Uh..." Su Jing was taken aback. It seemed Mr. Wang had chosen this restaurant for a reason, but he shook his head and said, "The ingredients for dietary therapy aren't ordinary, and I'm not used to other people's kitchen utensils. Why don't you come to my place?"
"Alright," Mr. Wang agreed. He had chosen this restaurant for convenience, but the specifics were up to Su Jing.
Mr. Wang had his driver take Su Jing home. Su Jing entered the kitchen alone and prepared a dish in just ten to twenty minutes, packing it in a lunch box. When he brought out the lunch box, Mr. Wang took it as if it were a treasure.
"I won't go with you. Take it to your son. If it works, come back for more," Su Jing said.
"Alright, thank you, Mr. Su," Mr. Wang said, eager for his son's well-being, and drove off with the lunch box.
About half an hour later, Mr. Wang arrived at Room 401 of the Zhongyun Huakang Hospital. He saw a frail little boy lying in bed, with a slightly haggard beautiful woman sitting beside him and a middle-aged doctor taking the boy's pulse.
Mr. Wang approached with the lunch box and asked the middle-aged doctor, who was the attending physician, about the situation. Even if he was going to try dietary therapy, he needed to inform the doctor.
The middle-aged doctor frowned after hearing Mr. Wang's explanation. "Not even seeing the patient, not taking the pulse, not listening to the heartbeat, not observing the complexion, and claiming to perform dietary therapy? This is nonsense, whether in traditional Chinese medicine or Western medicine. This is simply ridiculous!"
