Su Jing, Zhu Jianhua, and Liu Yin together put the parrot and the cat and dog into their cages.
Su Jing's movements were casual, while Zhu Jianhua and Liu Yin were very careful, afraid of causing even the slightest harm to these animals. These were all top-notch pets, and each one was likely quite expensive; even damaging a single hair would be a significant loss.
They had just finished loading them into the car when an Audi stopped at the entrance. Two men got out, one of whom was Zhao Jun and the other a middle-aged man in a suit.
Seeing Zhao Jun, Zhu Jianhua was initially stunned, as Zhao Jun's face was covered in small scars, making him look quite terrifying. However, he quickly became angry: "What are you doing here? Be careful, I'll let the dogs bite you." Liu Yin frowned, driving the men out of the restaurant. To deliberately embarrass them in the restaurant was one thing, but to come to their door was simply too much.
Su Jing, however, was somewhat suspicious. He had used magic beast meat to attract rats, causing the Western restaurant's business to suffer a severe blow. This would definitely make the restaurant owner worried, but they shouldn't know it was him, so why were they looking for him?
Seeing Zhao Jun and the middle-aged man approaching, Zhu Jianhua gave a cold laugh and was about to let the dogs out, but Zhao Jun bowed deeply and said, "Mr. Su, I was blind yesterday and offended you. I hope you can forgive me, a small man."
Zhu Jianhua was immediately dumbfounded, his hand frozen in the air.
Su Jing and Liu Yin were also stunned. What was Zhao Jun up to?
The middle-aged man also smiled and said, "Mr. Su, Mr. Zhu, Miss Liu, our service at the restaurant yesterday was inadequate. Please forgive us. I heard that Mr. Su's family runs a seafood restaurant. To make amends, we are willing to work a day at your seafood restaurant, doing whatever you ask."
Su Jing, Zhu Jianhua, and Liu Yin were stunned again. This middle-aged man was the owner of the Western restaurant? Yesterday, he and Zhao Jun had clearly been in cahoots, deliberately driving Su Jing away. He was probably the kind of person who looked down on others, so why was he now so humble?
"Mr. Su, we are sincerely apologizing and hope you can forgive us. When you see Mr. Wang, please put in a good word for us," Zhao Jun said with a fawning expression, though his smile was more painful than crying.
Su Jing, Zhu Jianhua, and Liu Yin suddenly understood. It seemed they were afraid of Mr. Wang. Seeing the once arrogant Zhao Jun now acting like a lapdog, the three of them felt a sense of satisfaction.
Zhao Jun was now in a difficult position. After the rat disaster yesterday, he had been furious, blaming the restaurant owner for not helping. However, the restaurant owner told him that one of the people they had driven away was the third young master of the Wang family, Wang Zhuo. This immediately turned his anger into cold sweat. Soon after, he received calls from his family elders, who scolded and warned him. If he didn't handle this matter properly, he would be expelled from the family and handed over to the Wang family for punishment.
Zhao Jun was on the verge of tears, blaming himself for not recognizing Wang Zhuo and for the foolish act of driving him away. However, he couldn't figure out how this country boy in front of him could have any connection with Wang Zhuo. When he and the restaurant owner apologized to Wang Zhuo yesterday, Wang Zhuo had said, "You offended Mr. Su, which is the same as offending me. Unless you get Mr. Su's forgiveness, don't blame me for being unfriendly." His words clearly showed his high regard for Su Jing.
"Jing, who is this Mr. Wang?" Zhu Jianhua asked curiously. From what he knew, Zhao Jun's family was wealthy and powerful, and he was the kind of spoiled rich kid who could act arrogantly. The restaurant owner also didn't seem to be a simple character, yet they were so afraid of Mr. Wang. Clearly, Mr. Wang must be someone important.
"I don't know. I just met him yesterday," Su Jing shrugged.
"Then why is he helping you?" Zhu Jianhua asked, puzzled.
"Maybe because he likes the food I make," Su Jing smiled, leaving Zhu Jianhua and Liu Yin speechless, thinking he was joking.
"Mr. Su, where exactly is your seafood restaurant? We'll go there to work," the restaurant owner said politely. The rat attack was a big issue, but it was far less serious than offending Wang Zhuo. The worst that could happen from the rat attack was the restaurant going out of business, but if Wang Zhuo held a grudge, they would be unable to get by anywhere.
"No need," Su Jing waved his hand. These two probably lived a life of luxury and wouldn't do much work at the seafood restaurant, only causing trouble. He didn't want to take them along.
"Mr. Su, please don't hold a grudge. Assign us some work," the restaurant owner forced a smile, though it was more painful than crying.
"Mr. Su, Mr. Wang will be dining at your seafood restaurant later. Let us serve him. Of course, if you have any tasks, just tell us," Zhao Jun continued to smile.
"Alright, alright, I'll take you there," Su Jing was somewhat uncomfortable with these two. Were they really that low, begging to serve others? However, letting them experience what it was like to serve others might not be a bad thing.
"Jing, we'll head back to Perfect Pet Paradise first," Zhu Jianhua said, his anger subsiding at Zhao Jun's behavior.
"Okay, be careful on the way," Su Jing saw Zhu Jianhua and Liu Yin off, then took Zhao Jun and the restaurant owner to Zhenhong Seafood Restaurant. When Su Zhenhong, Zhao Mengxiang, and Liu Shu saw the two men in expensive suits offering to work as waiters for free, they were all stunned. Su Jing could only explain that they were there to experience life and that any rough or miscellaneous work should be given to them.
"Jing, many people have ordered various precious seafood today. Do you have time to go catch some?" Su Zhenhong asked.
"I set up a fishing trap yesterday. Let's go check it out," Su Jing walked towards the harbor. Before he arrived, Su Liang and Su Xiaolin ran up, both looking excited and out of breath.
"Jing, Jing..." Su Liang was so out of breath he couldn't speak.
"What's wrong?" Su Jing asked, amused.
"Unbelievable, one of the two traps we set up yesterday is full of all kinds of fish. There are over twenty lobsters over a pound, as well as many large yellow croakers, crabs, and squids," Su Xiaolin said excitedly.
"Only one trap? What about the other?" Su Jing asked, puzzled.
"The other one broke, and all the fish escaped," Su Liang and Su Xiaolin both looked dejected.
"Ah, well, it's a good thing one of them worked. That's enough," Su Jing smiled, not really bothered.
"Jing, what did you do? How could you catch so many fish with just a simple trap?" Su Liang and Su Xiaolin were puzzled. They had never heard of such an effective fishing method.
"I put some fish bait in the traps, a new product given to me by a friend. It's a rare item that hasn't been released yet. Keep it a secret, don't tell anyone," Su Jing said mysteriously.
"I see," Su Liang and Su Xiaolin were convinced, though they were being fooled.
"Let's go collect the fish," Su Jing, Su Liang, and Su Xiaolin went to the harbor, pulled up the traps, and put the fish and shrimp into buckets.
"These fish are too small, let's release them," Su Jing picked out some small fish.
"But they're still fish. Why release them?" Su Liang and Su Xiaolin were confused.
"Even though the bait I used can attract fish from far away, overfishing is still harmful to the ecological balance of the sea. Let the small fish grow. Don't worry, we'll still make a lot of money even without the small fish," Su Jing explained.
"Alright," Su Liang and Su Xiaolin, now working for Su Jing, had no choice but to follow his instructions. Seeing the large catch even without the small fish, they weren't too worried about making money.
"Hey, what's this fish?" As they pulled up the trap, Su Jing suddenly noticed a strange-looking fish at the bottom.
