Chapter 56

In the blink of an eye, three days had passed.

The Perfect Pet Paradise and the fishing grounds were both running smoothly. Over these three days, they earned 1.7 million, 1.6 million, and another 500,000 from Su Jing occasionally selling seafood. His total savings had risen to 13.8 million.

Su Jing, being quite generous, bought a white 2015 Porsche 911 for 13.5 million in full payment. When this sleek and stylish car drove into the village, it literally dazzled everyone's eyes. However, most people still didn't know who the owner was.

In the early morning, after eating a breakfast of magic beast meat, Su Jing sipped tea made from the fallen leaves of the Eternal World.

On the table, a large stack of wrinkled paper was placed on his left, and on his right were ink, brush, and paper for practicing calligraphy.

Outside, Old Zhang and others were working, making quite a noise, but Su Jing seemed oblivious, his mind as calm as still water. This was all thanks to the words on the waste paper from the Eternal World. The characters were more like ancient complex Chinese, some of which Su Jing recognized, and some he didn't.

However, whether he recognized them or not, these characters gave Su Jing a mysterious sense of atmosphere. They were likely left by a powerful transcendent being. Looking at the characters was like seeing a silent poem, a dance without steps, a painting without a picture, and a melody without sound.

Without realizing it, Su Jing picked up the brush, dipped it in ink, and wrote the first character "Qian" on the white paper. Just one character made Su Jing feel refreshed. He continued to write "Kan," "Gen," "Zhen," "Zhong," "Xun," "Li," "Kun," and "Dui," completing nine characters. When he finished, he exhaled a breath of turbid air, feeling the world become a bit more ethereal.

"What's going on? This feeling is so comfortable!" Su Jing was immersed in it, imitating the characters on the waste paper, writing one after another. He wrote and rewrote, completely losing track of time. When he finally came to his senses, he had used hundreds of sheets of paper.

"Huh, did I write these?" Su Jing flipped through the hundreds of characters he had written, his face showing surprise. At first, the characters were very poor, as if written by someone who had never held a brush before. But as he flipped through, his calligraphy improved at an astonishing rate. The last few characters looked like they were written by a master. Of course, they were far from the atmosphere of the characters on the waste paper from the Eternal World.

"Learning calligraphy is so fast." Su Jing smiled, but he knew deep down that it was all thanks to the characters on the waste paper from the Eternal World. This further confirmed his guess that these characters were likely left by a powerful transcendent being. Although they didn't leave any supernatural abilities, they left behind an atmosphere.

"I'll practice more in the future. It can not only cultivate my temperament but also give me a new skill. If things don't work out, I can always sell my calligraphy." Su Jing joked to himself, then practiced for a while longer before stopping.

"Leaves are being eaten."

"Someone is eating the leaves."

A group of birds flew over, chirping.

"Damn, will it ever end?" Su Jing was a bit impatient. He slowly walked over, thinking that if the eggs didn't hatch soon, he would let other bugs eat them. But when he reached the cage, he was stunned. Most of the eggs on the leaves had burst open, some only partially. Tiny green bugs were crawling out, and the four leaves were covered with them, looking quite disgusting.

"Damn, I waited so many days just for a bunch of pests?" Su Jing suddenly felt like he had been tricked. He had hoped they might be some kind of magical species, but they turned out to be bugs.

"However, these bugs crawl and eat leaves so fast." Under Su Jing's astonished gaze, the tiny green bugs quickly devoured the leaves, leaving a trail of eaten leaves wherever they crawled. In less than three minutes, the four leaves were completely eaten. The bugs clearly weren't full and started crawling in all directions.

"No, I can't let them run around." Su Jing quickly found a plastic box, took down the cage, and poured all the bugs into the box, then covered it with a lid, poking many holes in it. The transparent plastic box allowed him to see hundreds of bugs crawling inside.

"What should I do, feed them to the birds or keep them?" Su Jing was conflicted. Deep down, he still hoped to see what these bugs would grow into, but their leaf-eating speed was so fast that it would be hard to raise them. Using the fallen leaves from the Eternal World would be even more unsustainable.

"Let's keep ten of them and feed the rest with ordinary leaves." Su Jing took another plastic box, picked out the ten most robust and lively bugs, and put them in with a few leaves from the Eternal World. The ten bugs quickly started eating.

Su Jing also picked some leaves from loquat, lychee, and plum trees and put them in the box with the hundreds of bugs. The bugs didn't eat them at first, continuing to crawl around as if looking for food. After observing for a while, Su Jing saw that the bugs, being very hungry, finally started eating the loquat, lychee, and plum leaves, but at a much slower pace, taking a few bites and then stopping, clearly still picky eaters.

"Chirp chirp chirp"

"Someone is being caught."

"Bad guys are catching people."

Three little swallows flew over and dove into their nest, looking a bit scared.

When Su Jing first returned, these three little swallows couldn't fly. But after being fed minced magic beast meat by their mother, they grew very quickly and learned to fly earlier than usual. However, they could only fly out to play and couldn't live independently yet.

Su Jing listened to their childish chatter every day, not paying much attention at first. But this time, he clearly heard what they said and asked, "Who is being caught? How do you know they are bad guys?"

"That person is screaming."

"Those two are very fierce."

The three little swallows had limited understanding and expression abilities. Even though Su Jing could understand them, he could only get fragmented information. But from this fragmented information, he guessed that something bad was happening. Su Jing frowned. He wasn't the type to meddle in other people's affairs, but since the swallows wouldn't fly far from their nest, the bad thing was likely happening nearby, possibly involving someone he knew.

"Where is it? Take me there." Su Jing said.

"No, no."

"Too scary, no."

The three little swallows shook their heads. They were familiar with Su Jing but not very obedient.

"Do you want to eat?" Su Jing took out a piece of magic beast meat.

"Want to eat, want to eat." The three little swallows immediately flew out of the nest and landed on Su Jing.

"If you want to eat, take me there, and I'll give you some when we get there." Su Jing coaxed them.

"Okay." The three little swallows, with their limited intelligence and insatiable appetites, immediately forgot their fear and flew out of the yard, heading in the distance. Su Jing quickly ran to catch up.

(ps: I was too tired last night and accidentally fell asleep on the table while writing. I've made up for this chapter and will have two more updates tonight.)
