Looking at the old military advisor not far away, who was preparing to take advantage of the chaos to escape, Yang Qi threw a plate with a flick of his hand — *clatter*, it missed. Sigh, someone who hasn't practiced throwing weapons really can't talk about accuracy. But although he missed, it wasn't by much; the old man was frightened by the plate that exploded beside him, falling to the ground and crawling backward in fear.
Yang Qi strode over, and as he passed, he slashed at every fallen bandit, causing a splash of blood with each step, moving with incredible efficiency. Only when he passed the second-in-command, who seemed to have a thick hide and was still struggling to get up, did Yang Qi lift his foot and kick him in the face, then grabbed the knife with both hands and plunged it into his chest.
Stepping aside to avoid the splashing blood, Yang Qi had an excited look on his face: "The feeling of the blade piercing flesh is pretty good! I'm starting to like this dream more and more!" Yang Qi's excited appearance seemed to scare the military advisor, who was paralyzed on the ground, unable to move.
Holding the still bloody blade to the old man's neck, Yang Qi said with a villainous expression: "Run, run away!" That expression was as villainous as it could be.
The old man shuddered and immediately cried out: "Lady, spare my life! Lady, spare my life! I have never disrespected you, Lady! If you have any instructions, I will follow them without a second thought! Lady, spare my life!"
"Enough! Stop howling!" Yang Qi reached out and grabbed the old man. Hearing the sound, there was a rustling of footsteps in the cave, indicating that more bandits were rushing over.
Wiping the blade on the old man's neck, Yang Qi smiled: "At this moment, it all depends on your status as a military advisor."
The bandits of Black Dragon Gang, who were about to charge in, heard the military advisor's distorted scream: "Stop! All of you, don't move!"
The bandits were startled and stopped in their tracks, focusing their gaze. They saw the Peach Bandit sitting on a bench at the entrance of the cave, looking like a lone warrior guarding the pass. The military advisor was kneeling at her feet, trembling.
"You, throw away your weapons," Yang Qi said coldly. "Or I'll kill this old man."
The bandits looked at each other, hesitating.
"Are you all deaf?" Feeling the blade on his neck pressing harder, the old man immediately howled: "All of you, put down your knives! Do you want to kill me?"
The bandits hesitated, and then a leader suddenly spoke with a sinister look: "Old Wu, you're just a dog of a military advisor. If you die, so be it. Why should we listen to you? We've put up with you for too long, and it's better to get rid of you today!"
The old man's face turned green: "You, you damned bastards!"
"Brothers, the martial artist is being held by the chief, and our opponent is just a girl. Let's go!" Over thirty bandits charged in, and Yang Qi's expression turned serious. Although his body was like that of an athlete, he couldn't possibly win against thirty people in close combat.
Kicking the old man out, he fell toward the bandits. The old man, who thought he was safe, didn't have time to celebrate before the leading bandit cut him down — if he was already offended, why keep him alive to cause trouble?
The old man's delay gave Yang Qi some time. He reached for a cloth bag at his waist, ready to pull out some powder to buy more time.
At that moment, there was a *bang*, and someone fell to the ground, groaning and unable to get up. Everyone looked — it was none other than Shi Heilong.
This girl is really capable! She can hold up in critical moments!
Yang Qi quickly turned the blade to Shi Heilong's neck, and the bandits' charge immediately stopped.
"It seems you've trained your subordinates well. At least they're better than your military advisor," Yang Qi said, feeling much better, and laughed. Shi Heilong just spat out blood, unable to speak.
The girl landed next to Yang Qi, breathing a bit heavily but not injured. It seemed Shi Heilong's defeat was well-deserved.
"Iron Palm!" Shi Heilong, holding his chest, finally managed to say: "I didn't expect you to know Iron Palm! I underestimated you!" Then, he looked at Yang Qi: "Why?"
The girl didn't waste words and said sternly: "Tell me, where are the women you've captured?"
"Indeed, it's because of this! Ha, I thought the Peach Bandit was different, but it turns out to be just a disguise to lower my guard!" Shi Heilong said with hatred: "If you hadn't ambushed me, with my Iron Shirt, you wouldn't have stood a chance!"
Yang Qi, impatient, said: "Don't waste time with him. I suggest we kill him and then kill all the bandits. How big can Black Dragon Gang be? We can find the women ourselves."
The girl fell silent for a moment, about to respond, when Shi Heilong laughed: "This cave is complex and deep. Even we have only explored a small part. If we get lost, it's hard to find our way out!"
Yang Qi pointed at the bandits: "There are so many people here. Whoever leads the way gets to live. I don't believe no one values their life!"
Shi Heilong laughed low: "The place where the women are held is locked with cold iron, which is hard to damage. The key is only known to me. If you want the women to live, you can't kill me."
Yang Qi sighed: "Shi Heilong, even when lying, you should have some common sense. I'm not belittling your Black Dragon Gang, but in this place, it's hard to believe the gate is reinforced with cold iron, let alone the women's quarters. And just now, women were serving food and dancing. I don't believe opening a door is so difficult. Enough talk, let's send you on your way."
Shi Heilong finally panicked: "Stop! I understand, it's because of the resistance against the Mongols! From now on, whether it's the Hall of Righteousness or any other resistance force, I will do everything to resist the Mongols, and the entire Black Dragon Gang will follow without a second thought!" He looked at the two with burning eyes, as sincere as could be.
But Yang Qi sneered in disdain. Resist the Mongols? Resist your sister's Mongols! Your words might fool those truly patriotic and naive heroes, but I just want to finish this plot and wake up properly. It's Friday tomorrow, and I have to go to work!
Thinking this, Yang Qi raised his knife to strike.
Just then, the girl suddenly said: "Wait, sister — Shi Heilong, can you swear to resist the Tartars?"
Shi Heilong immediately raised three fingers to the sky, solemnly: "I, Shi Heilong, swear to the heavens and my ancestors! If I, Shi Heilong, do not kill the Mongol Tartars, may I be struck by lightning, turned to ashes, and never reincarnate!"
This semi-literate man's language skills burst forth in a crisis.
The girl stared at Shi Heilong for a while, then turned to Yang Qi and whispered: "Sister, better to believe it than not. I've already scattered Shi Heilong's internal energy, so he's no threat. Let's rescue the women first..."
Yang Qi slapped his forehead. Great, there's a naive hero!
This cute and innocent girl has always been capable, why is she complicating things now!
