Hua Ran, feeling unwell, supported himself on the table and was about to leave when he noticed Luo Bi staring at him. He hesitated for a moment and then sat back down.

Guan Zhuting, wiping her hands, came to the dining table and sat down. Only then did Luo Bi ask, "How much interstellar currency do we have left?"

Guan Zhuting's hand paused as she wiped, her expression changing slightly. She exchanged a glance with Hua Ran, and the two of them felt a heavy heart. Indeed, when the wall falls, everyone pushes. No one can be relied upon. Luo Bi, who was quick to turn against others, was finally provoked by the recent engagement cancellation and decided to check the family accounts.

"There's still over five thousand." Guan Zhuting calmly reported the amount.

Luo Bi, being very shrewd, could see that the mother and son were overthinking it. She didn't bother to explain, but instead targeted her father: "Father, how much private savings do you have? I remember you took out 300,000 not long ago. Is there more?"

Seeing her father hesitate, Luo Bi knew there was more, but she didn't know how much. As her father was about to answer, she quickly cut in: "Father, you must have more, right? Whether it's for me or for something else, don't leave out a single interstellar currency. How much? Don't say you don't have any; I know you do."

Luo Hang swallowed the "no" he was about to say. Being exposed by his own daughter, Luo Hang regretted telling her in the first place. What a fool, a real troublemaker.

Luo Hang didn't feel ashamed about having a private stash. He glared at Luo Bi and said irritably, "Over 500,000 interstellar currency."

"Really that much?" Luo Bi was pleasantly surprised. This life's father was better than the last. In her previous life, her father always took care of this and that, never leaving a backup for his own family, which was quite foolish.

Guan Zhuting lowered her eyes and didn't speak. They were a blended family; she had a son, and Luo Hang had a daughter. Everyone has their own selfishness. It was understandable that Luo Hang had his own plans. She had also saved some interstellar currency for her son, but it was all used to buy spirit medicine to prolong his life.

Luo Bi turned to Hua Ran: "What about you? Convert the interstellar currency in your account and any valuable items you have. How much do you think you have?"

Hua Ran's expression was inscrutable. He looked at Luo Bi but didn't rush to answer.

"Ai Bi." This account checking was going too far, Luo Hang reminded her. This child was causing trouble at the wrong time. With the family in turmoil, her investigation could easily create rifts among family members.

Luo Bi gave her father an impatient glare and explained, "I don't mean anything by it. Your strong gene is severely damaged. Whether we can nurture it back to health is another matter, but first, we need to save your life. I'm checking the accounts mainly to buy a bottle of third-grade spirit medicine to save your life."

Guan Zhuting suddenly looked over, uncertainly asking, "You want to buy a life-saving spirit medicine for your brother?"

If, if... if what Luo Bi said was true, then perhaps there was a chance to save her son. Luo Hang was the head of the family, and Luo Bi was his only daughter. If they were willing to sell their family assets, they could勉强 buy a bottle of third-grade spirit medicine.

Luo Bi nodded: "I'm not very familiar with the price of spirit medicine. Does Brother know how much a bottle of third-grade spirit medicine costs?"

Guan Zhuting, receiving the answer, felt a mix of surprise and anxiety, finding it hard to believe.

Hua Ran's gaze was complex. He had experienced many ups and downs and had long seen through human nature. However, Luo Bi's actions were truly unexpected. Luo Hang might not mind making sacrifices for his mother, but Luo Bi had no such obligation. Moreover, from what he knew, Luo Bi was overly cold and indifferent, caring only for her family and not others. It was rare for her to consider him as part of the family.
