Chapter 92

【This chapter is from yesterday's saved draft, please bear with me. I will update 3 times tomorrow... I just checked the book reviews, and everyone has guessed it's the Golden Dragon Scissors, you guys are really impressive. I also wanted to give the protagonist a trump card, as we are approaching the Journey to the West plot, to give the protagonist more means of self-preservation.】

Silence, the entire cave was particularly quiet at this moment.

Although the Third Princess could not fight, she stood quietly on the side, summoning a colorful shell to illuminate the cave with pearls, creating a bright fighting environment for Yang Zhen.

The two golden dragons continued to pursue Yang Zhen relentlessly, but as time passed, the originally majestic golden dragons had been eroded by the "Death Miasma" and had become much dimmer, their attacks no longer as fierce as before. Although the attacks of the golden dragons had weakened, Yang Zhen did not dare to easily come into contact with them and kept dodging using the "Spatial Movement" skill.

Yang Zhen and the golden dragons were in a stalemate for three hours before he finally subdued the two dragons.

"Roar!"

After a loud cry, the two dragons suddenly emitted a brilliant golden light, overshadowing the white light in the cave. After a while, when the light faded, a golden scissors appeared in front of Yang Zhen. The golden scissors were entirely golden, with the appearance of dragons coiling around the scissors, and mysterious patterns made the golden scissors both mysterious and majestic.

"This is..."

Although Yang Zhen had guessed about the two golden dragons from the beginning, he was truly excited when he saw the golden scissors. Closing his eyes, Yang Zhen could hear his own heartbeat. This is... this is the Golden Dragon Scissors!

The Golden Dragon Scissors are transformed from two ancient yin-yang dragons. They are one of the two major mountain-guarding treasures bestowed by the Holy Master of the Complete Perfection Sect, Tongtian Jiaozhu, to the three sisters Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao. The two dragons, one yin and one yang, absorb the essence of heaven and earth and the essence of the sun and moon. In the air, they are surrounded by auspicious clouds and a halo. Their heads are side by side like scissors, and their tails are intertwined like stocks. When summoned in the air, the sun and moon cannot be complete, the earth and sky shake, and one cut can sever anything, making them invincible.

This treasure, which shone brightly during the Fengshen period, now appeared before Yang Zhen. After a long battle lasting several hours, it was now subdued and floated in front of Yang Zhen, completely submissive, without the previous ferocity.

"How did it end up here?" Yang Zhen held the Golden Dragon Scissors in his hand, puzzled.

Shouldn't this treasure have been taken by the Supreme Holy Master? How did it end up here? It seems the Golden Dragon Scissors were sealed here by someone.

Turning to look at the Third Princess, he saw her staring straight at the Golden Dragon Scissors in his hand. Yang Zhen frowned, feeling wary. Although the Third Princess looked harmless, Yang Zhen did not trust her, especially in front of a treasure like the Golden Dragon Scissors, she might be tempted.

If he were to kill her, Yang Zhen would be reluctant. But if he didn't, the fact that he obtained the Golden Dragon Scissors would be known by one more person, and there was a risk she might leak it in the future.

"What is that?" the Third Princess asked curiously, seeing the golden dragons transform into scissors.

In the quiet cave, Yang Zhen fell into deep thought and did not answer the Third Princess. Looking at the Golden Dragon Scissors, Yang Zhen tried to drive it with his magic power but found it unresponsive, unlike ordinary treasures that could be directly activated with magic power.

"Indeed, such a heavenly treasure must be refined with the primordial spirit!" Thinking this, Yang Zhen separated a thread of his primordial spirit and attached it to the Golden Dragon Scissors, refining it briefly before he could truly control it.

Taking out the long sword initially bestowed by Patriarch Subhuti, Yang Zhen waved it into the air and then summoned the Golden Dragon Scissors to cut through the sword.

A flash of golden light appeared in the cave, and the long sword that had accompanied Yang Zhen through the three realms was cut into two pieces and fell to the ground. Although the sword was not a treasure and not a supreme divine weapon, it was still a gift from Patriarch Subhuti and not an ordinary item.

But under the attack of the Golden Dragon Scissors, it could not even resist and was instantly cut into two pieces. This demonstrated the power of the Golden Dragon Scissors, which truly lived up to its reputation. If someone had wielded the Golden Dragon Scissors just now, Yang Zhen would have been cut into two pieces in an instant.

Retrieving the Golden Dragon Scissors, Yang Zhen looked at it with fiery eyes. At this moment, he loved the scissors in his hand, as its power was truly immense.

When Yang Zhen attached his primordial spirit to the Golden Dragon Scissors, he also learned about its "history." The Golden Dragon Scissors were indeed originally the property of the Three Fairy Maidens, but after the Fengshen battle, Qiongxiao and Bixiao were killed by the Original Heavenly Master, and Yunxiao was suppressed under Qilin Cliff, leaving the Golden Dragon Scissors without an owner.

The Golden Dragon Scissors were indeed taken by the Supreme Holy Master after that battle. But considering that the disciples of the Complete Perfection Sect would still fight with the disciples of the Complete Truth Sect, the Supreme Holy Master bestowed the Golden Dragon Scissors to assist the disciples of the Complete Truth Sect.

But everyone forgot one person, the first troublemaker of the Fengshen battle—Shen Gongbao.

After the Fengshen battle, Shen Gongbao's physical body was used to plug the North Sea Eye, while his primordial spirit was reshaped on the Fengshen List and appointed as the General of the Eastern Sea, a position that allowed him to pass the days.

But how could Shen Gongbao be content with this? So he stole the Golden Dragon Scissors and hid them here, planning to reclaim his physical body in the North Sea and rise again if the opportunity arose.

Thus, thousands of years passed, and the Golden Dragon Scissors, a supreme treasure, could not bear to remain in this dark cave. But the Golden Dragon Scissors had no consciousness and did not know how to leave, so whenever there was an opportunity, it would emit a treasure light, hoping to encounter a powerful cultivator who could take it back to the three realms and let the world see its ferocity again.

The Snow Prince of the North Sea and the Dragon King of the North Sea were attracted by this treasure light, leading to their conflict.

Before the Dragon King of the North Sea passed by, the Snow Prince had already found this cave. When the Dragon King of the North Sea came down, the treasure light had already disappeared, so he assumed the Snow Prince had already obtained the treasure, leading to the subsequent conflict.

The Golden Dragon Scissors have an extraordinary origin and share the same dragon body as the Dragon King of the North Sea. However, the Golden Dragon Scissors were born at the beginning of the world, and their bloodline was far superior to that of the Dragon King of the North Sea. Therefore, when the Dragon King of the North Sea saw the treasure light of the Golden Dragon Scissors, he knew that if he obtained it, his strength would greatly increase.

This is why the Dragon King of the North Sea was so persistent, even willing to oppose the Heavenly Court.

The Third Princess, being a princess of the North Sea Dragon Palace, had some knowledge. Seeing the Golden Dragon Scissors easily cut through the long sword, she recognized its extraordinary nature. But she also had self-awareness and knew that such a treasure was beyond her reach, so she suppressed the excitement in her heart.

Walking to Yang Zhen's side, the Third Princess asked, "Is this the treasure the Dragon King of the North Sea wanted to obtain?"

"Exactly!" Yang Zhen replied, "This is the Golden Dragon Scissors. Although it has not appeared in the three realms for over a thousand years, many in the three realms still remember its reputation."

As soon as Yang Zhen finished speaking, the Golden Dragon Scissors let out a light hum, clearly agreeing with Yang Zhen's words.

"From today on, follow me and create a new reputation!" Yang Zhen said to the Golden Dragon Scissors.
