"Someone wants to see me?" Phil Coulson asked as he arrived at the control room.
"Yes, sir," the SHIELD technician sitting in front of the computer nodded.
"Have you found out who they are?" Phil Coulson asked, not in a hurry to meet the person.
"We have," the technician said, opening a file window.
"Baron Impris Angel? That's quite an unusual name," Phil Coulson commented, looking at the information on the screen.
However, after confirming that the information had no obvious issues, Phil Coulson continued, "Let's see what this Angel Baron wants."
As for the identity of Dr. Donald Blake, though it appeared to be completely legitimate on the surface, Phil Coulson didn't take it seriously at all.
Come on, with Thor's physique and combat skills, he might as well be a special forces soldier. A doctor? Ha...
Phil Coulson quickly met this "uninvited guest" at the entrance of the facility. Even as a man, he had to admit that the other party was so handsome it left him speechless.
"Baron Impris Angel?" Phil Coulson asked, his face showing no emotion.
"It's me. I believe you are Agent Phil Coulson," Liu Rui'an, still in his blonde Caucasian male form, said.
"That's right. Please state your purpose, and also, do I know you?" Phil Coulson asked, unable to connect this person with anyone in his memory.
"My purpose is simple; I want to take a few of my friends away," Liu Rui'an said, meeting Coulson's scrutinizing gaze.
"As for why I know you, Agent Coulson, it's because of a friend of mine."
"Friend? Who is it?" Phil Coulson asked.
"You should know him, Hao Tian Liu, the chief researcher at Umbrella Biopharmaceuticals," Liu Rui'an answered.
Faced with this unexpected response, Phil Coulson was taken aback.
"You mean Liu? Hao Tian Liu?" Phil Coulson asked, surprised.
"Yes, let me have him talk to you," Liu Rui'an said, reaching into his pocket.
This action immediately made the surrounding agents and team members instinctively raise their guns.
"Don't worry, I'm just getting my phone," Liu Rui'an said, slowing his movements.
Following Phil Coulson's nod, the agents and team members lowered their guns.
After a brief conversation with his Cosplay Asari, Liu Rui'an sent a video request to the control room's computer.
Phil Coulson, who knew a bit about the person, wasn't too surprised by this highly skilled and illegal hacking.
"Hi, Phil, long time no see. I heard you were transferred to New Mexico?" Liu Rui'an said with a smile in the video.
"Hello, Liu, long time no see," Phil Coulson greeted.
"Regarding Dr. Blake, I will discuss it with Nick Fury. I believe it's more valuable than keeping those people locked up," Liu Rui'an said straightforwardly.
"I need orders from above to release them," Phil Coulson said after a moment of silence, somewhat insincerely.
Actually, as the head of the New Mexico branch, releasing or not releasing the people was his decision.
But with the mysterious hammer involved and the opportunity to gain some benefits, Phil Coulson wasn't foolish enough to just let them go.
"No problem, please wait a few minutes," Liu Rui'an said, ending the video call without any sign of dissatisfaction.
Knowing that he didn't need to worry about this matter anymore, Phil Coulson turned to the handsome baron and began asking about the situation.
Liu Rui'an, transformed into a blonde handsome man, answered all questions about how he knew Jane Foster and the others. Whether he held back any information was known only to him.
Within ten minutes, Phil Coulson received the latest orders from his superior, Nick Fury.
Another ten minutes later, Jane Foster and the other two were released.
Unlike Jane Foster and Dr. Erik Selvig, who were merely panicked and angry, Thor, who appeared last, looked extremely pale and sad, as if he had lost his father.
It was understandable; anyone who had over a third of their blood forcibly extracted would have a hard time maintaining a normal complexion.
The fact that Thor could still walk was a testament to his incredible strength.
"Jane, are you okay?" Liu Rui'an, maintaining his good guy image, asked as he approached them.
"I'm fine. How did you get here?" Jane Foster asked, blushing and feeling a mix of shyness, nervousness, and awkwardness at the sight of his face.
"I got a call from Daisy. I'm sorry, I didn't hear it, or I would have come earlier," Liu Rui'an said, nodding at Dr. Erik Selvig.
Before Jane Foster could respond, Dr. Erik Selvig, unable to bear it, interrupted, "This isn't the time for chitchat. Let's get him back first."
"But my equipment and research data are still with them," Jane Foster said, angry at SHIELD's actions.
Unlike Jane Foster, Dr. Erik Selvig knew a bit about SHIELD.
He supported her, saying, "Come on, Jane, let's get out of here first."
"Yes, Jane, let's leave and talk about it later," Liu Rui'an said, helping her out to avoid trouble.
Soon, the four of them arrived at the GMC SUV.
Fortunately, the vehicle's interior was spacious enough to accommodate even Thor's large frame.
However, once inside, Jane Foster and Dr. Erik Selvig gained a new understanding of their companion.
The interior of the vehicle, which looked like an ordinary GMC SUV from the outside, was luxuriously modified.
It had a wine cabinet and even a cigar cabinet, clearly indicating that the owner was wealthy and not an ordinary person.
"Jane, what exactly happened? How did you end up here?" Liu Rui'an asked as he drove towards town.
Faced with this question, the car fell into an awkward silence.
After a while, Jane Foster finally spoke, "Angel, do you believe in myths and legends?"
"Myths and legends?" Liu Rui'an, feigning surprise, nodded, "Yes, I do. Not only me, but my family does too. Otherwise, I wouldn't have the name Impris Angel."
"Impris Angel?"
Jane Foster, hearing his full name for the first time, was taken aback, as was Dr. Erik Selvig, who was sitting in the back with the unfortunate Thor.
The photos they had developed clearly showed that the man claiming to be Thor was from the center of the anomaly.
Combined with the information from his "ramblings," he not only came from the mythical realm but was also the Norse god of thunder.
Hearing the name Impris Angel, both Jane Foster and Dr. Erik Selvig immediately thought of the winged beings from another mythological system.
"I knew you would understand," Liu Rui'an said, shrugging and looking at them with a helpless expression.
"Why did your family give you such a name?" Jane Foster, whose worldview had been overturned by the "mythical" reality, asked.
"How should I know? Maybe it was a coincidence, but I do believe in myths and legends," Liu Rui'an said with a smile.
After exchanging a glance with Dr. Erik Selvig, Jane Foster continued, "Angel, if I told you that Thor is the Thor from the myths and that the facility we were in had the hammer from the legends, what would you think?"
Almost as soon as Jane Foster finished speaking, the GMC SUV screeched to a halt, leaving two tire marks on the desert.
This sudden action not only startled Jane Foster and Dr. Erik Selvig but also made the SHIELD agents following behind tense up.
"I knew it! I knew he wasn't a homeless person!" Liu Rui'an, his eyes shining, looked at Jane Foster, his face a mix of excitement and regret, "No homeless person would be in that place. Why didn't I connect the strange celestial phenomenon with him?"
Jane Foster, who had been worried that he would dismiss her story or just pretend to believe it, couldn't help but remind him, "Angel, I'm talking about myths and legends."
"I know, that's why I'm so excited," Liu Rui'an said, looking at the unfortunate Thor in the back seat with an intense, almost eerie gaze.
Even Thor, immersed in the grief and regret of his father's death and his own exile, couldn't help but feel wary under that gaze.
