"Did you kill the beauty so quickly? You don’t even show any mercy..." The green-skinned man complained a few times from the side, but his expression became more alert.

"Mercy? It hurts like hell!" The bald man cursed at the green-skinned man and then let out a miserable scream. The others looked at the bald man's screams and their expressions turned somewhat puzzled and panicked.

"Stop screaming, your cries will attract more zombies," Liu Qian said in a low voice to the bald man after he calmed down, squatting down. At this moment, a few zombies in the distance seemed to have heard the commotion, slowing their aimless wandering and looking over.

"Stop screaming!" The green-skinned man also sensed something was wrong, putting a finger to his lips to shush the bald man and gripping the iron bar in his other hand tighter.

"Damn it! Do you know how much pain I’m in? Try getting bitten and see if you don’t scream!" The bald man shouted at Liu Qian and the others. The bite on his shoulder looked quite terrifying, the blood no longer gushing but staining half of his shirt red.

Liu Qian looked at the blood on the bald man's shoulder, smelled the blood, and glanced around. His head felt inexplicably dizzy, almost falling to the ground. Liu Qian's legs and feet had previously been prosthetics, and this sudden sensation and full control over them made him very uncomfortable.

"Is this all real? Isn’t the Thrilling World just a computer game? Why do our senses feel so real? It’s like we’ve entered the game world!" The others also began to whisper among themselves.

Virtual reality technology was just a legend for players around 2015. Playing games in front of a computer screen with a sensory helmet or keyboard and mouse shouldn’t feel this real. The sensory helmet only detected the player's brain waves to assist in operation, similar to a controller, not a full panoramic helmet.

And even if it were a panoramic helmet, it could be taken off, right? There was no helmet on their heads at all! Could they really have entered the game world?

Playing this kind of zombie game on a computer was one thing, but actually entering the game world and getting bitten by zombies like the bald man was not so fun.

"Not real? Why don’t you let them bite you and see if it’s real!" The bald man cursed at the others while screaming in pain. He had drunk a lot before entering the game, and in a moment of overconfidence, he had approached the female zombie to observe her closely, even trying to undress her. He was bitten when he wasn’t paying attention.

"You should just quit the game, don’t drag us down!" The green-skinned man, gripping the iron bar, replied to the bald man with some annoyance, his eyes alertly scanning the surroundings. It was clear he was an experienced player.

"I really want to quit! Why don’t you find a way for me to quit!" The bald man angrily replied to the green-skinned man. If he could quit the game, his first action would be to go to the hospital to get his wound treated and take a painkiller for the severe pain in his shoulder.

The other players also became anxious upon hearing the bald man’s words. Some tried to say things like "quit the game," others shouted for "GM," and some tried to bring up the game menu in their field of vision, but all of this was in vain.

It was as if they were in the real world, with no menu options available.

"Have you noticed the watch on our wrists?" A player with glasses extended his arm to remind everyone.

After hearing the glasses-wearing player, the others quickly rolled up their sleeves and found that each player was wearing a metal watch, similar to the recently popular smartwatches. The watch face was large, displaying some text and numerical information.

Liu Qian also looked at his wristwatch. After touching it, he found the game options for "Thrilling World." There were four lines: "Game in Progress," "Player Attributes," "Call GM," and "Quit Game."

Unfortunately, the "Call GM" and "Quit Game" options were grayed out and unresponsive.

The "Player Attributes" could be opened, showing Liu Qian his name, age, gender, blood type, heart rate, breathing rate, body temperature, and other basic information. It also displayed hunger, thirst, fatigue, cleanliness, health, and infection levels, as well as his level in the game, which was currently 1.

It really was a game!

"Why can’t we call the GM? Why can’t we quit the game?" A player protested after looking at the wristwatch.

"I read a web novel where the main character and others were trapped in the game and couldn’t quit," a thin player said fearfully.

"We are trapped in the game now!" The bald man stopped screaming, his face full of pain. No one wanted to quit the game more than he did.

Everyone looked at each other, and the scene suddenly became quiet. What was happening clearly exceeded their understanding, leaving them confused and unable to figure out what was going on.

As the players quieted down, the moans of the zombies in the square gradually became more terrifying, sending a chill through everyone’s heart.

"If we die in this game, will we really die?" After a while, someone asked the thin player.

"I don’t know, but in that web novel, if you die in the game, you die in real life too. Don’t ask me, I don’t know if this game is the same!" The thin player looked even more terrified.

Reading web novels, such scenarios seemed exciting, but experiencing them in real life was a different story.

"We will die! If you get bitten, you’ll know!" The bald man’s face showed despair. No one understood the reality of the game more than he did.
