Chapter 8

Six years later. Tian Dou Star.

Silver hair cascaded down her back, flowing smoothly over the white floor, naturally spreading out in a fan-shaped silver glow.

"Nana, why are you daydreaming again?" A pleasant voice sounded. Yun Yan, who had just entered the room, said with a hint of annoyance.

She had been at the research institute for three years. When she first arrived, she was assigned to record every aspect of the daily life of the girl in front of her.

And the girl she called Nana had been in the institute for six years now, or rather, had been awake for six years.

According to the data, six years ago, she was thawed from an ice seal, and she was likely the first person in the Federation's history to survive such a thaw, as the ice layer in which she was sealed was at least a thousand years old.

This was originally a highly valuable case for research, but the girl who was thawed out had forgotten everything about her past. She only vaguely remembered that her name was Nana.

At least in the three years Yun Yan had been responsible for observing and recording, Nana had never shown any abnormal behavior. According to all the research reports, apart from having superior physical attributes and subconsciously reacting to attacks, showing considerable skill in ancient martial arts, there was nothing unusual about her. It was even impossible to determine if she was a Soul Master, as no soul power could be detected in her.

Soul power is an energy that humans develop after awakening at the age of six. By cultivating this energy, one can become a Soul Master. Moreover, soul power is the foundation of the modern technological system, and all the technology of the Douluo Federation is known as soul-guided technology.

Without soul power, no matter how good one's physical attributes are, what can be done? This is a world with mechs, warships, and interstellar migration. While individual combat power is still valued, it has long been far surpassed by technology.

"You're here?" Nana turned around and smiled at Yun Yan.

Although Yun Yan always prepared herself mentally, she still couldn't help but be stunned by Nana's smile.

Nana was truly beautiful, so beautiful that even as a woman, she couldn't feel any jealousy. Her large, amethyst-like eyes were so clear and pure, as if they could reflect everything. Moreover, it seemed that her age had been frozen at the time of her thawing. From the images, she had shown no signs of aging over the six years, looking exactly the same as when she was first thawed. However, her skin was extremely tough, and no instrument had been able to perform even the simplest blood draw without risking harm to her. Thus, she remained a mystery in the institute.

"Today is a big day for you!" Yun Yan came to her side, naturally lifting her long hair and touching the smooth silver strands, smiling. "I really can't spend too much time with you, or you might turn me straight."

Nana was no longer the naive and ignorant girl she was when she first awoke. Over the six years, she had learned a lot of modern knowledge. Her learning ability was strong, and if not for her past, no one would know she had been frozen for so long.

"That's not possible. I know I like men," Nana smiled. "What's so special about today?"

Yun Yan said, "Didn't you read the Federation's laws? According to Federation law, anyone with an unknown identity who has been observed for six years without any danger and has a guarantor can be granted temporary Federation citizenship, followed by a second ten-year observation period. If everything remains normal after ten years, permanent citizenship can be granted. In other words, starting today, once you complete the procedures, you will be a formal temporary citizen of the Federation."

"Federation, temporary citizen?" Nana's eyes were somewhat vacant. For some reason, at this moment, she seemed to recall something, but it was just a fleeting shadow.

...

"Tang Le, given your normal behavior over the past six years and with Yue Qingling as your guarantor, you are hereby granted temporary citizenship. As a temporary citizen, you enjoy most of the same rights as a formal Federation citizen, except for interstellar travel and the purchase of black-level soul beasts. Over the next ten years, you must strictly abide by the law. If everything remains normal after ten years, you will be granted permanent citizenship."

"Snap!" The electronic seal fell on the soul-guided screen, and a silver-white card was ejected into Tang Le's hand.

Tang Le's blue hair was tied back with a simple elastic band, but his handsome face still drew many glances. The female clerk responsible for processing his temporary identity had already lost count of how many times she had stared at his face.

"Ha ha ha, it's done, it's done. I can finally put my heroism to good use. From now on, you're mine!" Yue Qingling laughed, dancing around.

Ever since she brought this guy home six years ago, she had found herself with a problem.

Back then, the Tang Le in front of her had no money and no clothes. He only remembered that his surname was Tang, and he didn't even know basic life skills.

Yue Qingling even thought that he had followed her because he saw her first, like a baby animal seeing its mother, and had taken her as a family member, following her wherever she went. She would never admit that she brought him home because he was handsome!

Tang Le was the name she gave him, at least giving him a name. Of course, bringing him home had been under immense pressure! It took a lot of explaining to her parents, and in the end, her mother made the decision to keep him. Yue Qingling felt that her mother must have decided based on his looks, which her father was not very happy about.

For a while, Yue Qingling searched the interstellar network for information about Tang Le. She looked through all the male celebrities' profiles, but there was no one like him. He clearly had the looks of a complete celebrity!

Tang Le just followed her wherever she went. Yue Qingling found that Tang Le had a strong learning ability and acted like a bodyguard when he was with her. When she went to school, Tang Le would also attend as a listener. At first, this caused quite a stir, so she had to buy him a mask to wear.

Six years! Thinking about her prime years, from nineteen to twenty-five, she was already a grown woman. Although humans now live to about two hundred years old, twenty-five was just the beginning. But with this guy following her, she hadn't even had a chance to date!

Now it was finally over. He had a temporary identity. More importantly, from the first time she saw him, Yue Qingling had been convinced that this guy would be a big star, even if he wasn't one before, he would be one in the future. So, after graduating from the academy and passing the Soul Master examination, she resolutely chose to study celebrity management for two years.

With a temporary identity, it meant that her celebrity training plan could finally begin!

Just thinking about it made her incredibly happy. She had always been a money lover. Looking at the tall, incredibly handsome Tang Le, she felt that she was about to get rich. This was a cash cow!
