Chapter 83

Wang Dong also realized the trouble, and ultimately couldn't afford to be angry with Huo Yuhao any longer, so he had to run out with him.

Not only did they not have breakfast, but they didn't even have time to wash up. They ran towards the teaching building as fast as they could. They knew Zhou Yi's temper all too well; being late for class was no different from committing suicide.

Their appearance was indeed rather disheveled. Wang Dong was a bit better off; at least he had tidied up his clothes when he kicked Huo Yuhao to the ground. However, Huo Yuhao looked much worse. Half of his school uniform top was tucked into his pants, the other half was outside, his hair was messy, and two buttons on his shirt were undone, revealing a patch of bronze-colored chest. His clothes flapped in the wind as he ran.

However, now they couldn't care less about these things; they only wanted to get to the classroom as quickly as possible to try to extinguish Zhou Yi's anger. They were already late!

In just one minute, they had already arrived at the door of Class 1, Freshmen.

"Report!" Huo Yuhao shouted with a full voice.

"Report." Wang Dong's voice was a bit softer, even a little weak. He secretly glanced at Huo Yuhao in front of him, his eyes clearly showing some complexity. He fiercely lifted his hand and pinched Huo Yuhao's waist.

Huo Yuhao's face immediately changed, but he had already seen Zhou Yi walking towards them at the classroom door. The scream that was about to come out of his mouth was forcibly swallowed back.

The other students had already arrived, and when Zhou Yi saw Huo Yuhao's disheveled appearance, a hint of a smile flashed in her eyes. However, due to the intense pain in his waist, Huo Yuhao, who usually observed things in great detail, did not notice it.

"You two, what's going on? Come in first." Zhou Yi waved her hand at them.

Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong hurriedly walked into the class. Wang Dong even considerately closed the door behind him.

Xiao Xiao had already arrived and, seeing the two of them in such a disheveled state, couldn't help but widen her eyes. She moved her lips but made no sound. From her mouth, it seemed she was asking: "Heaven! What did you two do last night?"

All the students' attention was focused on the two of them, especially on the disheveled class president.

Zhou Yi asked in her usual cold voice, "My class president, tell me, what are you two doing?"

"Uh... Sorry, Ms. Zhou, we overslept." Huo Yuhao said with an embarrassed look. Now, he could only admit his mistake, and whatever punishment Zhou Yi gave them, he would have to accept it.

"Who slept with whom? How could you oversleep?" Zhou Yi rarely made a joke.

Huo Yuhao was stunned, and Wang Dong, who was next to him, instantly blushed. It was because they had been caught in the act...

The whole class remained silent, but this time, it only lasted for three seconds. Then, the entire class burst into laughter.

Wang Dong lowered his head, wishing he could find a crack in the ground to hide in. He was so embarrassed, and it was only then that he noticed Huo Yuhao's disheveled state. He really wanted to slap him! This bastard, he made me lose all my dignity.

Zhou Yi actually laughed too, although her old face looked more like a cry when she smiled, Huo Yuhao was sure she was laughing.

Zhou Yi raised her hand, and the authority of the super teacher was evident; the laughter immediately quieted down. However, the smiles in the eyes of the Class 1, Freshmen students were something even Ms. Zhou couldn't control.

"Alright, go back to your seats." Zhou Yi waved her hand, showing an unprecedented generosity towards the two of them.

"Ah?" Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong both instinctively raised their heads, thinking they had heard wrong.

Zhou Yi glared at them, "What? Overslept so much that you can't understand human speech?"

Huo Yuhao finally understood, pulling Wang Dong's sleeve, and the two of them slunk back to their seats. However, feeling the teasing gazes around them, they both felt a bit embarrassed.

Fortunately, this was in the freshmen class, and all the students were around eleven or twelve years old. For them, the question of who slept with whom was just amusing and didn't have any deeper meaning. If this had happened in the senior classes, especially with a few yaoi fans, it would have been even more chaotic.

After Zhou Yi returned to the podium, she said calmly, "After three days, the freshmen assessment is now complete. The final results were tallied last night."

Hearing this, all the students in Class 1 immediately perked up. Not every group had the absolute confidence to pass the assessment like Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong.

Zhou Yi's old face actually showed a smile for the second time today, a smile that was not very flattering, "I must say, you have worked hard and made me proud. All 22 groups of students in our Class 1 have passed the freshmen assessment. I am very pleased."

"Boom—" The entire Class 1, Freshmen erupted in cheers, the sound of celebration filling every corner of the classroom. This time, Zhou Yi did not stop them; she just smiled and watched the children celebrate.

They indeed had the right to celebrate! Last night, all the assessment teachers and the head teachers of the ten freshmen classes completed the final tally of the scores.

Almost all the assessment teachers commented that the students of Class 1, Freshmen showed more resilience compared to other classes. In the intensive assessment matches, they demonstrated astonishing willpower and fighting spirit. They were the class with the most comebacks. The most significant point was that the students of Class 1, Freshmen almost won all the evenly matched competitions.

Since becoming a teacher at Shrek Academy, Zhou Yi received her first public praise from the school. Originally, Class 1, Freshmen had the fewest students. But after the round-robin matches, half of the participating freshmen were eliminated, and now Class 1, Freshmen had the most students among the ten freshmen classes.

No matter how strict Zhou Yi was, she was in a great mood today, which was also why Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong could be let off smoothly even though they were late.

"Alright, quiet down." After letting them cheer for a while, Zhou Yi signaled for them to quiet down.

"Passing the assessment only ensures that you can stay in the academy and won't be easily eliminated before the end of the first year. But it's only the first year. If you don't work hard in the future, I'm afraid I won't see your faces in the second year. Moreover, passing the freshmen assessment is not something to be overly happy about. Among the 22 groups, 14 groups' assessments are not yet over because you have entered the top 64. You still need to complete the elimination matches. The elimination matches are the true test of your excellence."
