In the ruins of Longmen Cliffs in Penglai, a group of people were engaged in battle with F-class Bloodthirsty Wolves. There were four of them in total: three men and one woman. One of the middle-aged men had reached the level of a High-Class Warrior, while the others were likely at the Mid-Class Warrior level, all around thirty-five or thirty-six years old. The woman, though the weakest, was still at the Low-Class Warrior level. Compared to their formidable combat strength, their opponents, the Bloodthirsty Wolves, seemed rather weak, only at the F-Class Beast Soldier level. However, they had a significant advantage in numbers, with over a hundred of them.
The three men protected the only woman in the group, clearly indicating she was the core of the group, and the three men were likely her bodyguards. The woman wore a silver-white Dragon Master SS-level limited edition full-protection combat suit, a product of one of the four major international brands, and it was a custom-made series, undoubtedly a premium among premiums. Anyone who could afford such a combat suit must have a prominent status, and it was clear that this woman came from a powerful family; otherwise, even if she had the money, she might not have been able to obtain such a high-end combat suit.
Although her face was not visible, her devilish figure alone was enough to arouse the most primal instincts of all the men.
"Miss, these Bloodthirsty Wolves are too troublesome. We will temporarily hold them off, and you should leave quickly. Otherwise, if the Wolf King hidden among them calls for more Bloodthirsty Wolves from the vicinity, it will be impossible to escape," the middle-aged man with the High-Class Warrior level reminded her.
"No! We leave together! And we are not without hope. If we can find and kill the Wolf King hidden among the wolves, the rest of the Bloodthirsty Wolves will retreat," the woman shook her head firmly, her beautiful eyes calm and wise.
"Ah, I found it. It's the one with a tuft of white fur on its head," the woman suddenly pointed to a Bloodthirsty Wolf that looked no different from the others and said to the middle-aged man.
"Leave it to me." The middle-aged man did not doubt her for a moment and leaped straight toward the Wolf King. He had no doubt because he knew their Miss had some special ability.
A howl echoed. At that moment, the Wolf King seemed to sense that its identity had been exposed and let out a long howl. With this howl, dozens of wolves that were previously scattered rushed out, surrounding the middle-aged man and trapping him, making him struggle to defend himself.
Another howl, and dozens more Bloodthirsty Wolves pounced on the woman, while the remaining dozens surrounded the other two men. More Bloodthirsty Wolves continued to appear and join the battle.
"Miss, be careful." The middle-aged man now realized the severity of the situation. He had been too rash and had not anticipated that the Wolf King would use this tactic. He wondered if the Wolf King had deliberately exposed its identity to lure them away and then strike directly.
The woman also realized the severity of the situation, but it was too late to regret. Her three bodyguards were all tied up by the Bloodthirsty Wolves and could not help her. She had to face the dozens of Bloodthirsty Wolves herself. Although she was confident she could kill them, her strength would be greatly depleted, and if anything else happened, she would be at the mercy of the wolves.
"Looking for death!" The woman, dressed in her combat suit, was no pushover. Wielding a silver-white long sword, she leaped and slashed, splitting the foremost Bloodthirsty Wolf in two, blood splattering the ground. Such a sharp sword was not something that could be bought with money, further proving that the woman's identity was not simple.
Despite her vigorous combat strength and the sharpness of her sword, the sheer number of Bloodthirsty Wolves was overwhelming. Soon, she was knocked down by one of the wolves. If not for the combat suit absorbing some of the impact, she would have been seriously injured. Even so, a trickle of blood appeared at the corner of her mouth, indicating internal injuries.
A howl. Seeing her injured, the Wolf King, which had been standing outside the battlefield, suddenly moved, swiftly pouncing on her and aiming a claw at her head. If she were hit, she would either die or be crippled.
"Miss, be careful of the Wolf King!" The middle-aged man, who had been fighting the Bloodthirsty Wolves, had been keeping an eye on the Wolf King, fearing it would join the battle and attack her. His fear came true, and he felt a sense of dread.
At that moment, he could only warn her. Even if he wanted to fight the Wolf King, he was too busy with the Bloodthirsty Wolves to do so. He believed that once the Wolf King joined the battle, the woman would be in grave danger, and they would not be able to help her. If she were to die, even if they managed to escape, it would be meaningless, and their family would make them pay.
The Wolf King was incredibly fast. By the time she heard the middle-aged man's warning, it was too late. Just as the Wolf King's claw was about to touch her combat suit, something unexpected happened.
Bang! A gunshot rang out. The woman, who had been preparing to fight, saw the Wolf King's claw suddenly stop and fall to the ground with a thud.
Phew! Just as another Bloodthirsty Wolf attacked her from behind, she realized she could not dodge in time, especially since she was still in shock from the gunshot and had not noticed the fatal danger.
Bang! Another gunshot rang out, and the Bloodthirsty Wolf that had attacked her met the same fate as the Wolf King.
A howl. The Bloodthirsty Wolves, seeing the Wolf King dead, howled in unison and then retreated, disappearing without a trace.
A moment later, only the three men and the woman remained, along with the bodies of the Bloodthirsty Wolves. A young, travel-worn Wang Yan, carrying a backpack and a rifle, had appeared. He was the one who had fired the two shots.
The middle-aged man and the other two bodyguards quickly gathered around the woman, asking, "Miss, are you okay?"
The woman shook her head slightly, her gaze fixed on Wang Yan.
Seeing Wang Yan approaching, the middle-aged man signaled to the two bodyguards and stepped forward, saying, "Thank you, young man, for saving us."
Wang Yan glanced at the middle-aged man and shook his head. "Saving you? You're mistaken. I was just hunting."
Wang Yan's words left the middle-aged man speechless, and even with his thick skin, he blushed slightly.
The woman bypassed the two bodyguards and stepped forward, saying, "Regardless, you did save us."
Wang Yan glanced at her, fully covered in her combat suit, and felt a bit annoyed. Although he knew she was of noble birth, that did not mean they could act so arrogantly. If he had known this would happen, he would not have bothered to help. Their lives were not his concern.
"I can't take that. Excuse me, but I need to dissect these two Bloodthirsty Wolves. They are my kill," Wang Yan said, not wanting to engage with them further.
"Hmm?" She frowned but did not show any displeasure. "We will buy these two Bloodthirsty Wolves at twice the market price. What do you think?"
Wang Yan was taken aback. He did not like people like her, so he had no intention of selling. "I might consider ten times the price, but twice? You can hunt them yourselves."
"Ten times? Fine, it's a deal." The woman agreed without hesitation, and to prevent Wang Yan from changing his mind, she instructed the middle-aged man, "Uncle Li, transfer the money at ten times the price."
"Yes, Miss." Uncle Li, the middle-aged man, did not question her and immediately nodded respectfully before turning to Wang Yan.
"The market price of a Bloodthirsty Wolf King is between 20,000 to 30,000 Chinese yuan. We'll use the highest price, 30,000, so ten times would be 300,000. A Bloodthirsty Wolf is worth less than 2,000, so we'll use 2,000, and ten times would be 20,000. In total, it's 320,000. Is that correct, young man?"
Wang Yan was stunned. He did not understand what was happening and did not expect his random price to be accepted. This almost confused him, but his adaptability was strong, having experienced the All-Powerful Rebirth System, so he was not easily intimidated.
Just as Wang Yan was stunned, the woman spoke up, "No need to be so complicated. Just make it one million Chinese yuan."
Wang Yan was completely dumbfounded. He had seen rich people, but not ones who treated money so casually. Rich people were indeed capricious.
Uncle Li took out a communicator and turned to Wang Yan, "Young man, please provide your bank account number."
Wang Yan, though skeptical of such a windfall, was not one to turn down money, so he quickly provided his bank account number.
"Ding..." Soon, Wang Yan's communicator beeped, and he opened it to see one million yuan added to his account. He was overwhelmed with happiness. He had been worried about the high tuition fees, but now they were all solved. Not only the tuition, but all his expenses for the next four years were covered, and he could even indulge in lavish meals every day and still have money left over.
"No problem, these two Bloodthirsty Wolves are yours. I'll be going now..." Wang Yan waved and left, carrying his rifle, fearing they might change their minds and take back the money.
