"Giants? How come they don't seem to grow taller?"
Standing in front of the bathroom mirror, Chen Dasheng pitied himself. Apart from his body appearing more muscular and fuller than before, there didn't seem to be much change. Disappointed, he also felt a bit lucky.
In the inherited memories, the Giants were all comparable to towering mountains. If he became like that, where would he find a wife in the future? At that time, he might have to find a dinosaur to crossbreed with. Now, apart from the increase in strength, his body hadn't changed much, which suited Chen Dasheng's wishes.
"Just don't know if I'll grow bigger in the future?" Chen Dasheng thought with some worry.
Dressed, Chen Dasheng quietly slipped out of the sisters' shop. The inherited information in his mind was a bit messy and hadn't been sorted out yet. Perhaps these pieces of information contained what he wanted.
---
"So late, where is this kid sneaking off to?"
What Chen Dasheng didn't know was that as soon as he left the sisters' shop, a thin figure quietly followed him.
This person was none other than Chen Dasheng's sister, Chen Xiaoli. Chen Dasheng's mysterious actions made her very suspicious. As soon as Chen Dasheng left the shop, she noticed him and naturally followed to find out what was going on.
"This kid really has martial arts skills, but from the way he moves, he seems unable to control his strength!" The street was almost deserted. Chen Xiaoli quietly followed about a hundred meters behind Chen Dasheng, frowning at the uneven footprints on the ground.
---
"My strength has increased a lot, though I can't control it freely, my speed seems to have improved a lot!" Chen Dasheng walked towards a less crowded area, carefully examining his body.
His steps quickened, and at first, he stumbled, but gradually he adapted. The wind whistled past his ears, but fortunately, the street was deserted and dimly lit, so no one noticed him. Otherwise, there might have been rumors of a ghost in the city the next morning.
"Hey, where did this stinky kid run off to?"
Turning a corner, Chen Dasheng slipped into a small alley. When Chen Xiaoli followed, the alley was already empty, with no sign of Chen Dasheng.
It was a dead-end alley, with a tall brick wall at the end. Chen Xiaoli found the entrance to the residential building locked, with the lock intact. Chen Dasheng couldn't have gone in.
Approaching the brick wall, Chen Xiaoli looked up. The wall was nearly five meters high, and even she would find it difficult to climb. There were no footprints on the wall, only a slightly sunken right footprint on the cement ground.
"Wow, this strength, it must be at the Master level!" Chen Xiaoli was shocked, recognizing the footprint as Chen Dasheng's. The force of this step amazed her.
"Hmph!"
Chen Xiaoli let out a low cry, lightly tapping her toes, and her slender body leaped into the air. She used the wall to gain momentum, flipping over it like a kite.
Standing on the wall, she looked down. On the other side was another small alley, filled with bicycles under a canopy. The alley connected to a main road, but in the dim light, there was no sign of Chen Dasheng.
"Did this stinky kid notice I was following him?" Chen Xiaoli frowned, admitting she had lost track of Chen Dasheng.
Reluctantly, she jumped down from the wall, crouching by the single footprint on the ground, examining it closely.
A single step could leave a mark on hard cement, requiring at least several thousand pounds of force and the ability to withstand it. The dense web of cracks around the footprint indicated that Chen Dasheng couldn't control his strength freely.
"What happened to this stinky kid? If he were an internal martial arts expert, he could control his internal energy freely, and this wouldn't happen. This kid seems to have suddenly gained strength, unable to control it, purely brute force!"
Chen Xiaoli muttered to herself, her mind full of doubts. She lingered in the alley for a moment before turning back.
---
"Wow, so fast!"
A gust of wind blew from the city center to the outskirts. Chen Dasheng moved with the speed of a cheetah, choosing deserted paths, leaping over walls, and crashing through obstacles, outpacing the world's top parkour experts.
He never imagined the jade would strengthen his body to such an extent. Chen Dasheng was completely immersed in the speed of the wind.
Half an hour later, a fragrance of wheat and earth greeted him. Chen Dasheng stopped, not even out of breath, realizing he had left the city and arrived at the foot of Longquan Mountain in the eastern suburbs.
Ahead was a vast wheat field. The night breeze rustled the wheat stalks, and the fresh air made Chen Dasheng spread his arms, taking a deep breath, and savoring the rich earthy scent.
Leaving the city's noise behind, Chen Dasheng's mood became as calm as the quiet night sky. He forgot about women and Li Lan.
Choosing a small path, Chen Dasheng climbed Longquan Mountain. Though not high, it was just a small hill in his hometown, it was a scenic spot in the outskirts of Rongcheng.
Usually, many office workers visited, but it was now midnight, and the mountain was deserted. The surroundings were quiet, with only the crescent moon casting a cold light and the occasional bird call from the treetops.
At the top of the mountain, there was a flat area. The dappled tree shadows looked like devils lurking in the darkness. Chen Dasheng felt a bit uneasy. He was a materialist, but today's events were so strange that he needed to reassess his understanding of the world.
"Are there ghosts on this mountain? I was a bit hasty!" Chen Dasheng looked around, feeling a bit uneasy. Running here alone was a bit impulsive.
This was the city's outskirts, so he wasn't afraid of wild animals. Even if there were, with his current strength, he could take down an elephant. What he feared was the innate human fear of the dark.
Taking a few deep breaths, Chen Dasheng calmed himself. He had come here for a reason and couldn't be scared off.
Finding a large rock, Chen Dasheng sat cross-legged, focusing his mind on the information inherited from the jade.
The Giants, the first race to split the heavens and earth, could transform their bodies into mountain-like sizes, with immense strength and invincibility. Each one possessed the power to overturn oceans and destroy the world.
They opened the chaos and created the world. Even in ancient times, the mighty beasts trembled and submitted before them.
Chen Dasheng didn't know which Giant's blood he had inherited from the jade, but he was sure it belonged to a remarkable figure.
---
"Ha!"
Half an hour later, Chen Dasheng suddenly opened his eyes, his pupils glowing. A deep, low cry broke the night's silence.
Chen Dasheng stood up, his body rapidly expanding like a balloon.
The sound of bones cracking filled the air. When he stopped, he looked down to see that the trees around him were no longer tall, and the large rock in front of him was no longer large.
"Taller?"
His clothes were torn to shreds by his sudden growth, scattered on the ground. A massive black object swayed in the night breeze.
But Chen Dasheng had no time to worry about that. His only concern was his height. With just a thought, his height, originally around 1.7 meters, had grown to nearly 3 meters, with muscles like hard stones.
"Is this the Giants?" Chen Dasheng clenched his fist, the size of a sandbag, hearing the air compress. The feeling of power made him want to find a place to vent.
"Boom!"
He looked down and punched the large rock on the ground. With a loud crack, the rock shattered into pieces, debris flying everywhere.
"This strength, it's incredible!"
Chen Dasheng's eyes, the size of ping-pong balls, glowed with excitement. He had shattered such a large rock with a single punch, a strength he found hard to measure.
"Thud, thud, thud!"
Overwhelmed with excitement, Chen Dasheng ran into the dark forest, each step leaving a large footprint, the ground trembling.
"Ha!"
Another low cry, Chen Dasheng grabbed a large locust tree, pulling it up with all his might. The tree, which required a person to hug, was slowly uprooted, and the crows in the canopy were startled, flapping their wings and flying around.
"Ha ha ha..."
The feeling of power was indescribable. Chen Dasheng, like a violent vandal, wreaked havoc in the forest, felling trees with his fists, causing a loud crash as they fell.
"Whoosh!"
Under the moonlight, not a single tree remained standing, not even a stump. Chen Dasheng finally stopped, looking at the broken branches and leaves, feeling a bit shocked. He had destroyed so many trees in his excitement.
