Chapter 8

Yang Tianfu was fuming: "What are you still looking at? Get moving! We only have a dozen hours left. By 8 PM tonight, if we can't produce a pair of blood jadeite bracelets, our Phoenix Jewelry's century-old reputation will be ruined."

"What? Can't you understand what I'm saying? And you, aren't you Zhou Chengyun? The current warehouse manager? What are you standing there for? Go find the raw stones. If you can't bring me what I need within thirty minutes, get lost."

"Old Mr. Yang, we don't have a gemstone expert surnamed Han in our company, right? Did you remember wrong?" Zhou Chengyun stood still, his tone soft but his stance firm.

"Gemstone expert? Surnamed Han? If I needed a gemstone expert, wouldn't I have said so? I need someone familiar with the warehouse. Little Han has been an assistant in our company for ten years and is the most experienced warehouse staff. You can't possibly not know him, right?" Yang Tianfu said, a bit incredulous.

Over the past ten years, the warehouse manager has changed several times. Each new manager had to understand the inventory situation upon taking office. Zhou Chengyun had been in charge for three days; he couldn't still be unfamiliar with the inventory, could he?

At this moment, Zhou Chengyun's secretary whispered to him, "Little Han is named Han Kongque, a mover who has worked in our company's warehouse for ten years."

"Damn, a mover is a mover. I don't know such a person."

Zhou Chengyun muttered a few words and turned to Yang Tianfu, "Old man, why do you need a mover? If we need red jadeite, we should find a gemstone expert or assign more people to cut the stones. I don't believe we can't cut out the jadeite we need."

At this point, Yang Tianfu was really furious. His face turned from white to red, from red to black, and then to a sickly green. His assistant, seeing this, quickly took out some pills and made him take them.

Seeing this, the people around him stopped working and gathered around.

After three minutes, Yang Tianfu felt a bit better and pushed away the people surrounding him. He couldn't afford to be angry anymore; it would only waste more time. He couldn't really be angry with someone like Zhou Chengyun.

"You don't need to worry about what Little Han does; just find him for me now." Yang Tianfu instructed Zhou Chengyun and then ignored him, going to instruct others.

"Get someone to notify all the gemstone experts in or near Shanghai to return. Xiao Li, find Little Han's work records. Every time the company restocks, he sorts the raw stones clearly. Mark the storage areas for the raw stones from the Mulan mine. When the gemstone experts arrive, have them search for the raw stones that can produce red jadeite. Xiao Qian, quickly bring back all the workers on leave and have them cut the stones. The machines can't rest, but the people can. We must cut out enough top-quality red jadeite within three hours."

Seeing Yang Tianfu frantically arranging things, Zhou Chengyun also became nervous. He knew Yang Tianfu's position in the company. Since he wasn't cutting the stones himself, he would find this Little Han.

"Cheng Secretary, quickly find the mover named Little Han," Zhou Chengyun said to his secretary, Xiao Cheng.

His secretary's face turned grim, "Manager, you fired Little Han this morning."

"What? What did you say? The one who left this morning was the Little Han Old Mr. Yang is looking for? Don't make things up. When did I fire that mover? A mover doesn't need me to fire him; he quit on his own." Zhou Chengyun was a bit angry and embarrassed. Even if he was slow, he now realized he might have made a mistake this morning.

"Xiao Cheng, is top-quality red jadeite hard to find?" Zhou Chengyun's daily work was eating, drinking, and playing. Although he liked jade, he preferred finished products and knew little about gemstone cutting.

His secretary, Xiao Cheng, smiled bitterly, "Top-quality red jadeite is hard to find for others, but not for our company. However, we need time. It's difficult to cut out top-quality red jadeite in such a short time."

"How can it be difficult? We have plenty of raw stones that can produce red jadeite in our warehouse. Just cut more." At this point, Zhou Chengyun also realized that cutting more stones would take time.

"What do you suggest?" Zhou Chengyun had just gotten a real position as the warehouse manager of Phoenix Jewelry. This was not a job for a playboy. He didn't want to lose this respectable job.

"We can only find some old employees. They know the raw stones in the warehouse best. Although they don't have much professional knowledge, they know where the top-quality red jadeite raw stones are stored," Xiao Cheng said.

Zhou Chengyun said, "Then what are we waiting for? Get the old employees to find them. There are plenty of movers; the world won't end without Little Han."

Xiao Cheng could only smile bitterly. Little Han, who was so valued by the company's chief sculptor, Yang Tianfu, was not just anyone.

Top-quality red jadeite, if the color and water are pure enough, is also called blood jade. However, very few jadeite pieces can be called blood jade. Raw stones that can produce a pair of blood jade bracelets are not easy to find.

This is only possible because Phoenix Jewelry is a large company with sufficient reserves. Otherwise, such a rare item would be just a legend.

Blood jade is not just a name; it is vivid. The blood-red jade must be as bright as fresh blood and as transparent as glass, with a full water head. Otherwise, it cannot express the charm of blood red. Blood jade is like blood, beautiful and seductive.

Phoenix Jewelry is the largest jewelry and jade company in the country, controlling many mines in Myanmar. So, ordinary people can't compete with them.

However, every industry has new stars, especially the jewelry industry. In recent years, a large amount of speculative capital has entered the market, leading to the emergence of several major companies.

They have power, influence, and money, so they quickly began to encircle and attack some old companies, trying to take a bite out of them.

Now, a giant like Phoenix Jewelry is also facing challenges. Otherwise, the company's top management wouldn't have made a bet with their competitors. They were forced to do so.

A piece of top-quality blood jade is definitely in the company's warehouse, and there is more than one. This is known to all the company's top management. If not for the time limit and the customer's specific requirements, the inventory in Phoenix Jewelry's various stores could have handled it.

A company with over a century of history like Phoenix Jewelry has a deep foundation that new companies can't match. Even the branch stores have treasures that other major jewelry companies don't have.

Of course, they have many good things, but rarity is valuable. They can't show these to customers. Only top-tier clients have the opportunity to know and buy them.

This time, they made a mistake because they were too confident. If they had more time, they could have slowly cut the raw stones and eventually produced the top-quality red jadeite they needed.

But now, time is not on their side. Within a day, they need to cut blood jade from the raw stones and carve it according to the customer's requirements.

Three hours have already passed, leaving eleven hours until 8 PM. If they can't reserve six hours for processing, they will lose the bet.

One hundred million dollars is a lot to ordinary people, but it is nothing compared to the value of the Phoenix Jewelry brand. If they lose their reputation, the company's loss will be far more than one hundred million dollars.

"Old Mr. Yang, what's wrong? I heard you had another episode?" A beautiful woman, accompanied by four bodyguards, walked into the warehouse.

Although the warehouse is deep underground, it is brightly lit, allowing the beauty to clearly see Yang Tianfu's face.

"Old Mr. Yang, go rest for a while. Come back when the blood jade is processed." The beauty, Zhou Meiren, was indeed beautiful. Even though she was frowning, a charming and pitiful allure still showed naturally.

This charm was not seductive but rather endearing, appealing to all ages. So, Yang Tianfu's烦躁的心情立刻好了很多。

Zhou Meiren was indeed a beauty, with long, fine eyebrows, clear eyes, a straight nose, and a delicate, rosy mouth, all perfectly combined on a cold and elegant face.

Her long, black, smooth hair accentuated her graceful and charming figure. Her slender, graceful figure and snow-white, smooth skin had a strong allure.

Yang Tianfu looked at Zhou Meiren. Although his mood had calmed, he still had to continue with the work and the worries.

"We haven't even found the blood jade yet, let alone processed it. I've already arranged for people to go down and hope to find the raw stones we need soon," Yang Tianfu said helplessly.

Zhou Meiren, upon hearing this, realized there was trouble.

Zhou Meiren looked at the busy people and then at Zhou Chengyun, who was with her, "What's going on? Didn't I tell you to prepare people last night? Why haven't you cut out the red jadeite yet?"

Zhou Chengyun said, "From 8 AM to now, we've cut open a hundred or two hundred raw stones, but top-quality blood jadeite isn't that easy to find. If it were, our company would have already made it into the Fortune 500."

"Don't waste time. You can't tell me that after three hours, you still haven't found the blood jadeite? First, sort out the raw stones from the Mulan mine, then look for the ones that can produce red jadeite. If you still can't cut out the blood jadeite, our company might as well close down," Zhou Meiren said, looking at Zhou Chengyun.

The Mulan mine, although a new mine, has good water and base, mainly producing lavender and red jadeite. To quickly find top-quality red jadeite, cutting the raw stones from the Mulan mine is faster.

Of course, this is based on the company's stock of raw stones. Phoenix Jewelry, as an old company, has always had good reserves. They have top-quality raw stones from various mines, including a significant amount from the Mulan mine. To cut out blood jadeite as quickly as possible, cutting the top-quality raw stones from the Mulan mine is the fastest way.
