Chapter 55

The Snow Mastiff originates from the Tibetan Mastiff and is not a different breed. It is similar to the Golden Mastiff and Ironclad Gold, differing only in the color of its fur, which is the result of a genetic mutation. The standards for the Snow Mastiff are the same as those for the Tibetan Mastiff; the only difference is the color, with everything else being almost identical.

The Tibetan Mastiff is naturally the most suitable guard dog, possessing excellent guarding abilities without any training. It instinctively knows to attack an enemy's carotid artery. Moreover, the Tibetan Mastiff has an intimidating physique, with a thick mane around its head and neck, making its head appear large and causing strangers to fear this wild "lion."

The first time Su Zhe saw the Snow Mastiff, he was deeply attracted to it, so he exchanged 30 points for a Snow Mastiff without hesitation.

He chose a newborn Snow Mastiff puppy, which cost him 30 points. After a burst of light, a small, hairless puppy appeared before Su Zhe. The puppy's umbilical cord had just fallen off, and its eyes were still closed. It was wriggling on the ground, showing no sign of the ferocity of an adult Tibetan Mastiff, but rather being very cute.

Su Zhe infused 5 points of divine power into the Snow Mastiff, and soon the puppy opened its eyes, and its body began to grow snow-white fur. It started to learn how to stand and made an effort to crawl towards Su Zhe. This first sight made Su Zhe fall in love with the little life, and he did not regret exchanging for the Snow Mastiff. He picked up the puppy, feeling its soft body, which was very comfortable to hold. The Snow Mastiff's bright black eyes looked at Su Zhe, and it did not struggle in his hands, showing great docility. The puppy even extended its little tongue to lick Su Zhe's hand, and from its open mouth, one could see that it had already grown milk teeth.

After playing with Su Zhe for a while, the Snow Mastiff let out a weak cry, which Su Zhe guessed was because it was hungry.

Su Zhe took a box of pure milk, as he could not find any other food for the Snow Mastiff at the moment. He tore open the packaging and poured the milk into a small dish. Worried that the pure milk might cause diarrhea, he added some warm water before placing it in front of the Snow Mastiff.

The Snow Mastiff first approached and sniffed the milk, then extended its tongue to lick it. After tasting it, it seemed to realize that the milk was edible and began to lap it up, eating a lot.

Its belly quickly swelled, looking round and full. Su Zhe was concerned that the Snow Mastiff might have eaten too much, so he took the milk away.

The Snow Mastiff looked at the milk being taken away with longing and even tried to follow. However, it only took a few steps before falling over, as it was not very steady on its feet and had eaten a lot.

Su Zhe poured out the milk, washed the dish, and put it away, deciding to use this dish specifically to feed the Snow Mastiff.

"Xue Long, come here," Su Zhe called. Xue Long was the name Su Zhe gave the Snow Mastiff.

At first, the Snow Mastiff did not know its name, but after Su Zhe called it "Xue Long" many times, the puppy understood that Xue Long was its name.

After some simple training, the Snow Mastiff would come running at the sound of its name, being very obedient.

Xue Long was very brave, running around the living room and even daring to provoke the much larger Sulcata tortoise. At first, Xue Long placed its small paws on the tortoise's claws. Seeing no reaction, it became bolder and placed its paws on the tortoise's head. Each time, the tortoise would shake its head to dislodge Xue Long's paws.

Xue Long seemed to enjoy this game and continued to do it tirelessly. Eventually, it used both paws, and although it often fell when the tortoise shook its head, it would get up and continue.

The tortoise finally became impatient and moved to avoid Xue Long. However, wherever the tortoise went, Xue Long followed. Whenever the tortoise stopped, Xue Long would immediately place its paws on it.

In the end, the tortoise gave up and closed its eyes, allowing Xue Long to do as it pleased. Since the tortoise did not resist, Xue Long soon lost interest and tried to climb onto the tortoise's back.

Unfortunately, the tortoise's back was too high for Xue Long, and no matter how hard it tried, it could not climb up. It even backed up a few steps and ran to gain momentum to jump onto the tortoise's back, but it always just missed, hitting the tortoise's shell each time.

After many failed attempts, Xue Long, either realizing it was impossible or simply tired, gave up. It walked to the tortoise's side, laid its head on the tortoise's claw, and leaned against the tortoise's shell, falling asleep.

The tortoise, having been tormented for so long, did not dare to struggle, fearing that the little devil would wake up and torment it again. The tortoise remained still, allowing Xue Long to sleep.

Not long after, An Xin and Baby returned.

Baby called out to her brother. She had intended to play with the tortoise, but when she saw a small life sleeping next to it, she exclaimed, "What a cute little puppy."

Her voice woke both the tortoise and Xue Long. Xue Long rubbed its eyes with its paws and looked at Baby with sleepy eyes.

The tortoise almost cried with relief, looking at Baby pitifully, as its owner had finally returned, and it would no longer be tormented.

However, Baby ignored the tortoise, reaching out with her small hand to gently pick up Xue Long.

Perhaps due to the presence of a stranger, Xue Long struggled and wriggled in Baby's hands. Su Zhe had to intervene and scold it, after which Xue Long calmed down and allowed Baby to hold it.

Baby grew more and more fond of Xue Long, constantly playing with it. Eventually, she climbed onto the tortoise's back and naturally brought Xue Long with her, making the tortoise carry them around.

Xue Long called out excitedly when placed on the tortoise's shell, seeming very happy.

What Xue Long had struggled to achieve for a long time, Baby accomplished easily upon her return.

The tortoise almost cried, realizing that Baby's return was not a savior but would make its situation even worse. However, the tortoise did not dare to disobey Baby and could only follow her commands, slowly moving.

Xue Long, on the tortoise's shell, was still restless, calling out as if showing off to the tortoise.
