She paused and then laughed, "I told my mother that I'm starting a business during the summer vacation, opening an online store and setting up a small studio. Plus, I did really well on the final exams, so she agreed."

Hao Meng was taken aback and said, "So, your parents have been here?"

"You're so silly. If they hadn't come to check it out, would my mother let me come here?" Yang Xiaoshuang looked at him as if he were an idiot.

Hao Meng smiled bitterly, "So, they know about me?"

Yang Xiaoshuang's eyes darted around, and she nodded with a laugh, "Don't worry. You haven't done anything illegal, and my mother doesn't eat people. Knowing about you won't change anything. I can introduce her to you later; it might even be good for you!"

"Let's wait and see about that." Hao Meng shook his head. He didn't even ask what Yang Xiaoshuang's parents did; he didn't want to meet them. They were just simple business partners.
