Second-hand market.

Seven floors up and down, each floor is several thousand square meters large, with hundreds of vendors. You can basically buy anything here, and many items are transported in from outside.

"Electric fans, 45 each!"

Hao Meng thought for a moment. These miscellaneous brand table fans usually sell for eighty to ninety yuan outside, and the cheaper ones for sixty to seventy yuan. The price here isn't much cheaper.

"Would it be cheaper if I buy more?"

The vendor glanced at Hao Meng and said, "Thirty-five each if you buy fifty or more!"

Hao Meng shook his head, didn't say anything, and walked inside. This time, he mainly came to inquire about prices and get a sense of the market. If he were to open a store to sell second-hand small appliances and source from here, he would only add twenty yuan at most, which isn't cost-effective!

"How much for these refrigerators?" Hao Meng pointed to an old refrigerator on a stall, smiling. It was a style from the early 1990s, long since phased out, but still available in the second-hand market!

"If you want it, 180 yuan to take it away!"

"What about that Haier one?"

"That one is 600 yuan!"

"Four hundred yuan, I'll take ten. Will you sell them?" Hao Meng said with a smile. It was a model from a few years ago, not too outdated, but definitely not something the wealthy would buy. A new one would cost around 2,000 yuan.

"Ten? Sure!"

Hao Meng spent 4,000 yuan to buy ten Haier refrigerators. He thought these refrigerators would only earn the second-hand market vendors a few dozen yuan each, but in large quantities, it was still worth it!

"Chime: A repairable item has been detected!"

Hearing the prompt in his mind, Hao Meng's eyes lit up, and he slowed his steps. He turned and noticed a 110-inch curved ultra-high-definition OLED TV on a nearby stall.

"Boss, is this TV broken?"

"Yes, it's broken. I just picked it up today and was planning to have someone take it away. Are you interested, young man?" the boss asked with a smile.

"How much?"

"If you want it, 18,000 yuan to take it away!"

"Isn't that expensive?" Hao Meng was surprised.

"Expensive? If this LCD TV weren't broken, it would retail for around 1.2 million yuan!" the boss said with a smile.

Hao Meng shook his head. "But the key is that it's broken. Look at the screen, it's shattered. Is it still worth 18,000 yuan? Boss, you're trying to fool me. I reckon it's not even worth 500 yuan!"

"It's definitely worth 500 yuan. If you want it, 10,000 yuan to take it away. If not, don't waste your breath!" the boss's smile faded, and he spoke straightforwardly.

"8,000 yuan, deal?" Hao Meng became serious.

The boss looked him over, thought for a moment, and nodded. "Deal, it's yours!" He had bought the broken TV for 3,000 yuan, so he was still making a profit of 5,000 yuan. Selling it now saved him a lot of trouble.

Carrying the 110-inch curved ultra-high-definition OLED TV, Hao Meng quickly walked out of the second-hand market. A TV that retails for 1.2 million yuan, bought for 8,000 yuan, no wonder the 'Recycling System' prompted that it had repair value! He hired a car, loaded the ten refrigerators and the broken LCD TV, and went to the rented yard!

After the car left, the refrigerators and the LCD TV were all placed in the 'warehouse.'

"Chime: Ten refrigerators, repair cost: 10 gold coins. 110-inch curved ultra-high-definition LCD TV, quantity: 1, repair cost: 85 gold coins. Repair now?"

Hao Meng checked the number of gold coins in the 'recycling station,' which was 47. Most of these were from selling the scrap from Dong Yun's villa, and he had spent quite a bit.

"Repair the refrigerators!"

He repaired the ten refrigerators first. As for the LCD TV, even if he wanted to repair it now, he didn't have enough gold coins and would have to wait.

He moved the refrigerators into the store. Hao Meng felt he should buy a car; always hiring one wasn't practical.

"How did you get so many refrigerators, Xiao Meng?" Wei Shufen helped arrange the refrigerators and asked with a slight frown.

Hao Meng smiled. "I found a good deal and bought them. Put up an ad outside saying we have a batch of factory surplus goods. The original price of the branded refrigerators was 2,188 yuan, now 1,200 yuan, with a six-month warranty."

"Okay!" Wei Shufen turned to find paper and a pen to write the ad.

The ten refrigerators took up a lot of space, making the store look less empty. The refrigerators were in perfect condition, with not a single scratch. Selling them for 1,200 yuan each shouldn't be a problem.

"By the way, a customer came to the store today and asked if we sell that laptop!" Wei Shufen said with a smile after finishing the ad. She was a bit anxious because she hadn't sold anything yet.

"Laptop? Yes, it's for sale. Price it at 12,000 yuan. If someone buys it, sell it. If not, let Guo Guo watch cartoons on it!" Hao Meng said with a grin.

Wei Shufen was secretly amazed; the thing her daughter had been playing with was so valuable.

Hao Meng left his old phone at the store, telling Wei Shufen to call him directly if she couldn't handle anything. He had a new number and needed to find a way to get more gold coins to repair the 110-inch LCD TV, or he would keep feeling restless.

He spent 4,000 yuan on the ten refrigerators and 8,000 yuan on the LCD TV, leaving him with 18,000 yuan.

"You have a scrap yard, but everything together isn't worth 20,000 yuan, right? ... Don't worry, I don't want your house. What use do I have for it? 8,000 yuan, and everything in the yard is mine. I'll have it moved tonight. Don't ask what I'll do with it. You sell, I buy, why so many questions?"

Hao Meng spent 8,000 yuan to buy all the scrap from a scrap yard. After a night of work, he only earned 120 gold coins.

In the morning, he finally repaired the 110-inch curved ultra-high-definition OLED TV.

He took many detours, but it didn't have to be so complicated. Buying an old refrigerator from the second-hand market for 400 yuan and selling it for a couple of gold coins was faster and more efficient, even though the price was a bit higher than buying scrap.

"If it doesn't work, I'll have to open another scrap yard!" Hao Meng muttered to himself. Buying scrap for gold coins was definitely more cost-effective than selling items from the second-hand market, but he was too busy and short on cash.

Hao Meng brought the TV in, and Wei Shufen and Guo Guo were both amazed.

"Uncle Xiao Meng, is this a TV? It's so big!" Guo Guo jumped off the sofa, circled around Hao Meng, and asked curiously with wide eyes.

"Right, a big TV!" Hao Meng placed the TV opposite the sofa, connected the power, and searched for Wi-Fi, selecting an animated show.

"The screen is so clear! How much does such a big TV cost?" Wei Shufen asked, surprised, looking at the ultra-clear screen.

"New, it retails for around 1.2 million yuan. We'll price it at 750,000 yuan. If someone really wants it, we can sell it for 700,000 yuan," Hao Meng said with a smile. This ultra-large LCD TV was almost the store's crown jewel.
