It must have been Qiao Wei who did it, she never liked Xiaoai.”

”She knew that Xiaoai was going to perform today, so she purposely stole the dance costume and hid it.”

”Right, besides her, I can’t think of anyone else who would be that disturbing.”

The crowd was indignant about what they thought Qiao Wei has done, and one person pulled Lin Xiaoai and said, “Let’s go find the teacher and inform her about this matter! We must teach Qiao Wei a lesson, hiding costumes was a disgusting thing, such a dangerous person is on our school! She’s really so shameless!”

Lin Xiaoai was busy pulling the girl, her voice low and somewhat aggravated, “Even if we go and get the clothes from her would cause us to miss the performance time. Why don’t you guys go on stage and perform first? Our show is a group folk dance, so it’s okay if I’m missing, at most it looks a little imperfect, yet it’s better than being embarrassed.”

”Xiaoai, you’re really too kind, you’re thinking for everyone.”

The crowd didn’t want to miss out on the chance to perform on stage, they were all yelling that they were going to trouble Qiao Wei, but now they had to calm down, to think about the show. After all, Xiaoai’s costume were lost, so wouldn’t they still be delayed if Qiao Wei didn’t return her costume?

”Xiaoai.”

Ji Jiang came, and without waiting for response, he walked and hugged Lin Xiaoai in his arms, wiping her reddened eye sockets, “I heard someone stole your costume?”

”Hmm.” Lin Xiaoai buried her head, “I don’t know who did this, I won’t be able to perform this time, I was hoping to perform in front of you.”

”That’s okay, here, take a look at what I brought for you.”

Ji Jiang took a bag and opened it in public, and a very beautiful folk dance costume was shown in front of everyone, it looked similar to Lin Xiaoai’s costume. The styles looked similar, but the colors were different, and it stood out more.

Ji Jiang swept a glance at all of them, “I remember that you all wear the same, suddenly there’s a different one, it’s no problem, right, instead it looked more creative, don’t you think?”

After it was over, the few girls who were on the same stage were slightly angered, but due to Ji Jiang, they didn’t dare to say anything to Lin Xiaoai, they remembered that the original culprit was Qiao Wei, who hid Lin Xiaoai’s clothes, causing Ji Jiang to bring new costume for Lin Xiaoai, everything was Qiao Wei’s fault!

Everyone said so, Lin Xiaoai didn’t say much more.

”Ugh… Miss Yun Xin, it’s New Year’s, so don’t be so hard on yourself, okay?”

Qiao Wei held her chin helplessly, looking at the pile of exercise books in front of her, she thought Yun Xin dragged her to change her clothes and might take her out to have fun or something. She never expected that after getting two cups of hot water and two loaves of bread, Ah Xin would drag her to the classroom to do exercise books.

”The final exam is coming up soon.”

”Yun Xin, even if I work hard this semester, I won’t be able to surpass you.” Qiao Wei trailed off, “Are you seriously underestimating your own strength, thinking that everyone can easily surpass the top grade?”

Ah Xin looked at her, “Then work harder until the day you can surpass me.”

”Ugh, okay.” Qiao Wei really couldn’t refuse her generous offer, remembering that if she went out, she’d have to run into people and go to the New Year’s Gala party. It was really better to do the exercise books here, rather than suffering the mean stares from others.

She finished two books and pushed them to Ah Xin, “I did great just now, didn’t I?” Her eyes lit up, “I’m an overachiever today.”

”Good.”

Qiao Wei’s mouth smiled at the compliment, instantly looking at the exercises under her hand with more goodwill, if one day she really could surpass Yun Xin, will the other party look at her adoringly, saying: ‘Wow, Miss Qiao Wei, you’re the greatest!’

”Yun Xin, they’re here to cause trouble,” Qiao Wei poked Ah Xin’s arm and whispered, “You’re good at fighting, right? You were able to beat He Meili last time! Obviously you can handle these guys. I’ll watch the door, you better beat them up real good and make them unable to scream.”

This suggestion, of course, Ah Xin wouldn’t agree. She glanced at the classroom camera and pursed her lips, too bad there’s a camera to clearly record the evidence so she couldn’t beat them up casually. Moreover, she couldn’t give classmate Qiao Wei the image that she was a violent person.

”Qiao Wei, where did you hide Xiaoai’s clothes?” The girl who came in didn’t give Qiao Wei a chance to speak and looked angry, “Qiao Wei, you’re doing such a disgusting thing, in the middle of a show we’re going to perform. When the time comes, you hid Xiaoai’s clothes, you were intending on embarrassing Xiaoai, right?”

”Who hid her clothes?” Qiao Wei subconsciously retorted, with her angry and arrogant look, it is easy to misunderstood that she did it, “I have nothing to gain from hiding her clothes. What did I do such useless thing for?”

”If not you, then who? We can’t think of anyone else but you, you’re the only one who doesn’t like Xiaoai the most, and weren’t you the only one who was bullying her? Now everyone likes Xiaoai, it makes sense that you’re jealous of her and hid her clothes in order to make her look bad and missed her performance.”

”Qiao Wei, you’d better admit it and apologize to Xiaoai, we won’t tell the teacher about this.”

Ah Xin turned back, her eyes swept over Lin Xiaoai’s face and said, “Aren’t you looking for Lin Xiaoai’s clothes? I’ll take you there now, I’m sure you’ll be able to find it soon.”

”I’ve just sent a message to the teacher, asking her to help investigate the surveillance footage and keep it, let’s go over there and look at it together.” Ah Xin’s mouth curved, “Surveillance is never deceiving, right, Miss Lin Xiaoai?”
